Panic In Lagos Court As ‘Strange’ Snake Chased New Magistrate Out Of Court Chamber

There was panic at the Ejigbo Magistrates’ court when the new Magistrate, Mr Akeem A. Fashola officially resumed work after his recent transfer by the Lagos Judiciary, Lagos State.

A snake was found in the chamber which caused pandemonium. The incident happened on Monday after the court opened and Fashola was about to begin proceedings.
According to PMNews, a few minutes after Fashola resumed and sat in the chamber, a green snake appeared from nowhere in the chamber which forced both the Magistrate and court officials to flee. The prosecutor, Femi Adeleye, and security men attached to the court searched for the snake and eventually killed it before normalcy could be restored. How the snake gained entrance into the court chamber was a mystery to the court officials because the former Magistrate, Mr Peter Nwaka, who was transferred to Apapa court had moved out his personal belongings from the chamber without any incident. According to the security guard attached to the court (name withheld) Fashola officially resumed for work on Monday and as he entered into the chamber and sat down, the court cleaner went into the chamber to do some cleaning up. While she was cleaning the chamber, the snake came out suddenly. The court is located near the airport compound which had been over grown by weeds over the years.
