You a have a unique chance to enjoy Rihanna's perfume poster that has been banned in areas where children are likely to see it.
WARNING - NUDITY
Rihanna's ad poster was banned in areas with children
After Riri's scandalous appearance in a super-see-through dress at the annual Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards
(CFDA), it's hard to imagine how else a kinky pop-star can shock
you. This time a candid and provocative ad poster was banned by the
Advertising Standards Agency for being offensively sexual, demeaning to
women. Such a decision was taken after a single complaint was sent to
the agency by one of the disgruntled citizens.
The advert shows a
singer on the floor with her head and shoulders leaning against a wall
and her legs raised against a large bottle of Rogue perfume. Although
the company, Parlux Fragrances, that took part in creating the poster
tried to convince the agency workers that Rihanna's image shows a strong
woman 'one with the courage to challenge boundaries' and does not
reflect improper nudity or offensive or suggestive imagery, their
attempts failed.
It
is not the first time Rihanna's advert has caused controversy, in 2012
two explicit posters brought her a status of a 'no go' for the brand’s
family image
In a statement the Advertising Standards Authority said:
"While we did not consider the image to be overtly sexual, we
considered that Rihanna’s pose, with her legs raised in the air, was
provocative. Because of this, and the fact that Rihanna appeared to be
naked except for high heels, we concluded that the ad was sexually
suggestive and should have been given a placement restriction to reduce
the possibility of it being seen by children."
It is not the
first time Rihanna's advert has caused controversy. Only in 2012 at
least two explicit posters caused mixed reactions and brought her a
status of a 'no go' for the brand’s family image. Rihanna has also
appeared in racy advertisements for Armani, Budweiser, Mac and French
fashion range Balmain.

Less than six days before the 20th FIFA World Cup kicks off
in Brazil, Nigerian traders are saying they are bumper says on their
goods.
The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that electronics and electrical appliances dealers at Alaba International Market, Ojo, Lagos State are the ones reaping the benefits the most.
It was gathered at the market that traders have been making good sales since some weeks ago because of the global football competition.
Some of the traders who spoke to NAN on the impact of the imminent competition on their businesses said they foresaw better sales ahead.
“Football is a culture in Nigeria and anything that can enable us to catch a glimpse of the World Cup feast will be sought for.
“For the past few days now, the demand for the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) type of television sets have increased unlike what the situation was few months ago,” Mr Obinna Ojiego, a television seller said.
* One of the stadia to be used for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil
According to him, the increase in sale of electronics shows the huge interests Nigerians attach to football and especially to the world cup.
Another dealer, Uzo Onukwe, disclosed that with the competition few days away, he has been recording sales of five to 10 Flat Screen sets daily.
Onukwe informed that 'we always look forward to World Cup to make more sales'.
“Although there is no prize hike of the products, the joy of it is that the turnover is impressive at a faster rate,” he added.
A generator set seller, Mr Nzube Umeh, also stated that he had noticed an improved sales because of the forthcoming World Cup.
“The incessant power outage in the country has made Nigerians who do not want their watching matches on television to be disrupted during the competition have resorted to purchasing electricity generating sets.
“In anticipation of the competition and its accruing increase in sales, I have placed order for new products of good qualities,” Umeh said.
Traders at Alaba market in Ojo, Lagos
Collins Orji, an electronic technician, also confirmed that the level of his patronage had increased for some weeks now.
The 2014 World Cup will begin on 12 June and end 13 July, 2014.
Nigeria's Super Eagles are drawn in Group F along side Argentina, Iran and Bosnia Herzegovina.
The Nigerian team, who are presently in camping in the USA, would play a warm up match against the Americans on Saturday after they recently played out a 2-2 and 0-0 draws against Scotland and Greece respectively.

Selena Gomez "Feels Sorry" for Justin Bieber Following Racist Video Leak
Selena Gomez doesn't want Justin Bieber back - she's made that much clear on several occasions.
Still, their on and off relationship went on for years (and Bieber took Gomez' virginity, a fact he brings up whenever given the chance) ,so it's only natural that she still has some emotions attached to her former flame.
According to sources close to Selena, in the wake of the Bieber racist video scandal, those emotions mostly take the form of pity for her jackass ex.
Sources close to Selena say that the singer "feels sorry" for Justin and has expressed a desire to see him get the help that he needs.
That said, her camp has reportedly encouraged to keep her distance from Justin while this scandal plays out, so we guess he'll have to look elsewhere for a shoulder to cry on.
We're sure that bony shoulder will belong to a runway model, as Justin's mind-blowingly racist videos seem to have not hurt his standing in the celebrity community at all.
Entertainers ranging from Lil Wayne to Whoopi Goldberg have come to Justin's defense and offered a wide array of explanations for his bizarrely racist "jokes."
Only time will tell what sort of impact these clips will have on Justin's career in the long-term, but one this is for certain, as more videos leak showing a very ugly side of Justin, Selena must become more and more certain that she made the right choice in going her own way.

Chris Brown, Karrueche Celebrate Jail Release at Welcome Home Party: See the Pics!
Chris Brown celebrated his release from jail Thursday night at a big
bash in his honor, partying with girlfriend Karrueche Tran and a bunch
of friends.
Even as he swears he's never going back to jail and is ready to cut toxic influences (and substances) out of his life to ensure that he keeps it clean.
Brown arrived with Karrueche, who blindfolded him before bringing him
inside, where the crowd went crazy as his song "Loyal" played in the
background.
Along the stars on hand: Tyga, Big Sean, Amber Rose and T-Pain, who tells TMZ there was no weed inside ... though some attendees looked out of it.
Even if there were temptations there, you can't blame the R&B singer, who didn't know about the event and reportedly didn't partake in any drinking.
Another source insists that despite the famous crowd, it was low-key.
"Everyone was in an amazing mood and happy to have Chris back," an insider dished. "Karreuche was there and everybody was talking about how supportive she's been."
That part is undeniably true. They're a modern-day John and Yoko.
Brown tweeted about his release from jail in the early hours of June 2, writing, "Humbled and Blessed ... Back to the Music and the Fans ... Thank you GOD."
Chris is said to be overwhelmingly grateful to Karrueche for her support. "They gave each other kisses, and he put his arms around her here and there."
Here's hoping she - and the rest of the people close to Brown - keep supporting him in a positive way and helping him turn his troubled life around.

Nigerian Entertainment Industry To Hold First Health Insurance Convention
The awareness and knowledge of health insurance among the
practitioners of the Nigerian entertainment industry has become imperative. Due
to the absence of it, the industry has lost several of its well loved musicians
and actors to dreadful sicknesses like renal failure, fatal accidents and other
vices while trying to raise funds. This has however necessitated the need for a
well structured health insurance policy and cover for the entertainment
industry.
The Nigerian
Entertainment Industry Health Insurance Convention is designed as a customized
learning and education platform for the practitioners of the entertainment
industry and invariably members of the public at large to understand the
importance of health insurance and at the same time embrace it.
The convention seeks to create special
insurance covers and policies for the practitioners of the entertainment
industry. Also, to illuminate complex issues of health care practice and policy
by bringing together leading-edge doers and thinkers - from operations to
academia, from clinical practice to corporate management. The convention delineates perspectives of
stakeholders throughout the healthcare community in addressing broad issues and
the type of health insurance to go for.
Some of topics to be discussed at the convention are; The
health implications of celebrity life styles, Benefits of Health Insurance
Policies, Health Insurance Policy …at what cost?, The health insurance
policy…how dependable? and The Role of Government in Health Insurance Policies
The convention is presented by Nigerian Entertainment
Industry Lecture Series (NEILS) and is in partnership with National Health
Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Lagos State Ministry of Health and Nigeria Medical
Association. It is billed to hold on July 22nd, 2014 at the Grand Ball Room of
Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos.
It is absolutely very sad seeing our entertainers beg for
money from fans and government alike when they are down with life threatening
ailments. Other professionals suffer similar fates and sometimes they cannot
afford treatment but they seldom embark on aggressive media campaigns of such
magnitudes like their entertainment counterparts. This has however resulted to
a big shame and public ridicule.
Fan Blames Kefee's Sickness On Her Attack On COZA Pastor
For some days now, top Nigerian gospel singer, Kefee has been in a state of coma. She was said to have collapsed onboard a flight to Chicago and was rushed to the hospital after the plane made an emergency landing because of her.
Her husband, Teddy Esosa, who is now in the US to be with her, also urged Nigerians to pray for his wife to recover from the coma.
All over the social media platforms, celebrities like Waje, MC Abbey and others have joined in the ‘Pray For Kefee’ campaign.
But for a fan named Rare Gentle, he blamed the singer for her present predicament. Gentle claimed that Kefee, in an interview with Encomium Magazine in February, described Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA as "so called man of God".
Below is what Gentle wrote on his Facebook page;
You must have heard that gospel artiste Kefee, the 'kokoroko' crooner is presently in coma after she slumped on a flight bound for Chicago.
I couldn't help but randomly think yesterday that maybe this has something to do with an interview she granted Encomium in February & lashed out at Rev. Biodun of COZA referring to him as "so called man of God".
While I don't quite agree with the church suddenly cancelling her engagement with them when d scandal about her failed marriage was rife, attacking the Church or a man of God never ends well.
When Christ announced Peter as the Rock of the Church, he established the Authority of the Church on the earth (whether d world likes us or not). NO MAN OR GOVERNMENT can bring d church down; Idahosa proved it to Babangida's govt, Oyakhilome has proved it since 2001, Fatoyinbo proved it after the Ese scandal, Ashimolowo has proved it to the UK govt, Adelaja has literally subdued the Ukrainian govt.
Another truth is that Men of God get level- some carry a weight of glory more than others.
And though Pastors are not perfect, they are like Parents; their prayers, words & insight has empowered millions to experience unimaginable breakthroughs who hitherto were broken, poor & dejected. ONLY A CHILD WHO IS A FOOL TURNS AGAINST THE PARENTS BKOS OF A SCANDAL. So just bkos a congregation sticks to its pastor even after a scandal doesn't mean they are brainwashed, its simply bkos they are children who love their father unconditionally.
So Father, we ask that you have mercy on, heal & restore back our sweet kefee in Jesus Name. Thank you for answering bkos we still need her beautiful voice.” (NigeriaFilms.com)
Upcoming Singer, Ewa Admits Stealing From Tuface
Tuface’s camp released a press statement two days ago, stating that an upcoming artiste stole his song and yet tried to use his image (right above) to sell her records. They threatened to sue her, and wanted bloggers to help inform the society about the fraudulent act.
But the soft spoken lady, Ewa, after the press statement
went viral through her representative admitted to an online publication that she stole the song and Tuface
was never in the studio with her. She went ahead to also reveal that
the part were his voice was actually heard was fixed in by her producer.
Below is the press statement released by them before the
singer admitted her wrong. We are not sure if Tuface is still pressing charges
or not.
“It has been brought to our attention that there is a song
“Crazy Love” being circulated on the internet which was composed and sang by
one Ewa and purportedly featuring 2Face.
We wish to use this medium to categorically state that 2Face
did not feature in any song composed and sang by any Ewa. The song is an
illegal manipulation and super-imposition on 2Face’s unreleased song titled
“Could This Be Love”. This odious and fraudulent act is not only condemnable
but also an assault to the integrity of the entertainment industry which
thrives on creativity and hard work.
In particular, the act is an infringement of 2Face right
under the Copyright Act Cap C28, LFN 2004 and we shall employ the full force of
law to enforce the breach of his reproduction, publishing, performance,
communication rights which have been breached.
I love weed than sex; sex is a waste of time – Popular Ghanaian Musician
This is not the first, the second and it wont be the last time Ayisoba is saying he smokes. He has said this on many occasions and he keeps repeating himself but nobody has called to question him about that speech. He hasn’t be tagged as promoting the illegal act too. He has even mention names of some weed smokers but yet, nothing has been done about it. Well, he says weed is good for his health so i think that is the reason why he has been left alone to walk freely in this country to promote it.
Anita Amponsah reports that;
Although smoking of marijuana or weed is illegal in the country, musician King Ayisoba known in real life as Albert Apozori has never shied away from declaring that he smokes weed more than anybody in Ghana.
According to him, he has been a weed smoker since he was 11-years-old and has been smoking for over 25 years.
Speaking in an interview with Blakk Rasta on Taxi Driver on Hitz FM, he disclosed that used weed as his medicine which is helping his music career.
According to him, he likes weed more than sex and that even though sex is part of human, it is a waste of time.
“I like weed more than sex, sex is part of man but a waste of time,” he said.
King Ayisoba, hails from Upper East Region of Ghana. He learnt how to play the ‘Kologo’ (a traditional two stringed guitar) from his grandfather, a traditional healer.
He started playing music at Pito bars and festivals and soon became a child prodigy, and was known throughout the region.
Bishop Reveal Women Now Sell Their Private Parts In Bio-tech Market
he
Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), have alleged that some
Nigerian women are now into the business of selling their private parts,
wombs, ovaries and human eggs as commodities in the global
bio‑technology market.
Rev Ignatius Kaigama
This was disclosed by the president of CBCN and Archbishop of Jos, Most Rev. Ignatius Kaigama during the International Family and Pro‑Life Conference tagged: “Witnesses to the dignity of every human life” which held yesterday, June 5 in Abuja.
According to him, most of the transactions were done with very influential people in the society, adding that some scientists and dubious businessmen use members of the National Assembly to gain legal access to the wombs and ovaries of women and young girls.
Speaking on the topic: “The Catholic Church in Nigeria and the imperative of scaling up pro‑life activities across the country,” Kaigama said Nigerian women have become targets of this act, especially as their fertility is concerned.
“Personal private parts of women, ranging from wombs, ovaries and human eggs risk being put up as commodities for sale at the global biotechnology market-places," the bishop lamented.
Speaking on the incessant killings in some parts of Nigeria, Kaigama expressed sadness that the human life has become cheaper than a loaf of bread as they are being wasted everywhere, everyday.
The cleric said, "In Nigeria, we have lately become overwhelmed by the spate of reckless killings and spilling of human blood where ritual murders, unresolved assassinations, kidnapping, cultism and terrorism have become part of our daily news and life experiences.
"Regrettably, human life has become cheaper than a loaf of bread. From hijacking and loss of airborne planes to the avoidable mishaps of sinking of ships and ferries loaded with passengers, to the mindless wars and avoidable military conflicts, human lives are wantonly wasted everywhere, everyday."
He added that all over the world today, human life and the enduring values of human dignity, sanctity of marriage and family life are no longer held in high esteem. They have lost their value due to ideologies, politicians, religious extremists and businessmen and businesswomen.

government’s property.
The union President, Nurudeen Yusuf, when approached said the peaceful protest was a citizen’s right as enshrined in the constitution. Lupe Fiasco ALSO Compares Justin Bieber to Donald Sterling, Only Racister
Justin Bieber has apologized for racist videos
made while the pop mega-star was still in his teens, but many
understandably feel that even the sincerest admission of guilt is simply
not enough, given the abhorrent content of Bieber's bigoted "jokes."
One such critic is rapper Lupe Fiasco who recently likened Justin's comments to the blatantly racist remarks made by Donald Sterling, former owner of the LA Clippers.
"Justin Bieber said it, so it's cool and people are already coming to his defense," said Fiasco in an interview with MTV.
"Donald Sterling made a billion dollars when he sold the team and then there was such an uproar over someone who didn't use the N-word at all, but then you have someone who made a very racist joke about it - I wonder if Justin's gonna get the same treatment as Donald Sterling."
"I don't think he will," Lupe continued. "It's an absurd thing. You get somebody who we 'like' who says it, and says it even more 'racist-ier' and we don't bat an eyelash at it."
Lupe's comments echo those of Drake Bell who also compared Bieber to Sterling.
Surprisingly, Lupe and Bell seem to hold the minority opinion in the entertainment world, as stars such as Floyd Mayweather, Lil Wayne and Whoopi Goldberg have all defended Bieber's comments.

CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele Presents 10-Point Agenda
The new Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has on Thursday presented his 10-point agenda.
Emefiele said he was committed to create "a central
bank that is professional, a central bank that is apolitical, and
people-focused. A Central Bank that spends its energies on building a
resilient financial system that can serve the growth and development
needs of out beloved country, Nigeria."
Before introducing his agenda, Emefiele praised the work that the previous governor did to achieve financial system stability, low inflation, an effective payment system, and exchange rate stability.
Monetary policy
Emefiele said the CBN would pursue a gradual reduction in interest rates, an apparent shift away from his predecessor’s hawkish monetary policy that was credited with bringing inflation down to single digits. Interest rates have been stuck at 12 percent since late 2011, and several measures have been made to tighten liquidity, which has been brought inflation down but made businesses complain that lending rates are too punitive.
"Such high rates create preserved incentives for commercial banks to simply buy virtually risk-free government bonds rather than lend to real sector," Emefiele said.
He said that while reduction in deposit rates would encourage investment attitude in savers, a reduction in lending rates would make credit cheaper for potential investors.
Emefiele also said that the apex bank would begin to include unemployment rates "as one of the key variables considered for its monetary policy decisions". He added that the CBN would design its monetary policy taking into account the potential fiscal expansion in the run-up to the 2015 elections.
Exchange rate policy
The CBN chief said the bank would continue to maintain exchange rate stability in view of the high import dependent nature of the economy. Emefiele cautioned that a systematic depreciation of the naira may translate to considerable inflationary pressure with negative effect on macro-economic stability.
"Therefore, under my leadership, the bank will continue to focus on maintaining exchange rate stability and preserve the value of the domestic currency."
"We will sustain the managed float regime in the management of the exchange rate as this will allow the bank to intervene when necessary to offset pressure on the exchange rate."
Economic development and employment
Emefiele said that the Central Bank would no longer focus solely on monetary and price stability. Citing the experience of Japan, the US and France, the governor said that the CBN would start supporting selected economic sectors using "direct methods" of intervention to support the overall performance of the economy as well as boost employment.
"With an annual additional 1.8 million Nigerians to the labour pool, the Central Bank cannot afford to sit idly by and concentrate on price and monetary stability.
"Additional measures would be required towards identifying productive sectors of the economy and channeling credit towards these sectors, while imposing proper monitoring and performance measures in order to ensure that the goals of increased employment and poverty reduction are attained."
Stability of financial system
Under the leadership of Emefiele, the CBN will continue to sustain the effective management of the potential threats and avoid systemic crisis.
"The core of my vision is to effectively manage potential threats to financial stability and create a strong governance regime that is conducive for financial intermediation, innovative finance and inclusiveness."
To achieve the goal, the bank would work with stakeholders to aggressively shore up the reserve, and would engage both the fiscal and political authorities, the governor said.
Agenda in brief
It will also be recalled that President Goodluck Jonathan suspended previous governor of the CBN, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, over 'financial recklessness', a claim Sanusi denies. The ex-governor insisted that he was removed for highlighting alleged widespread corruption in the oil sector and appealed his suspension in court.
