Sad! Lady died in fatal crash a month to her wedding

29-year old Juliet Igbinoba and fiancé Jackson Igbinadolor were to be married on April 10th before she met her untimely death in a fatal crash on Monday 17 along the Lagos – Benin road.
Invitations had been sent out, they had both shared their joy on their social media pages before her light was cut short.

Juliet graduated from Federal Poly Auchi, completed her Youth Service in 2013 and a staff of Fouani Nig Limited. She will be buried tomorrow. Rest in Peace.

She further said that, “every morning, after putting your contacts on, pour out your old solutions. Please do not reuse. Make sure you wash your hands before putting them on and try not to let your contacts or solutions get in contact with water. Interior Minister, Abba Moro has absolved himself from any blame over last Saturday’s stampede at the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) recruitment centres across the nation, instead, he blamed the tragic incident on doctors, nurses, bankers, teachers and others in paid employment.

According to him, these already employed individuals thronged the various recruitment centres in their numbers.
No fewer than 19 applicants, including four expectant women, died in the stampede. Many others were injured.
Moro said though these categories of persons never applied for jobs with the NIS, they gate-crashed into the venues of the recruitment, with the hope of getting foreign postings and being pensionable if employed by the NIS.
Moro’s aide, Mallam Salisu Dantata Muhammed, who spoke on behalf of his boss in Abuja yesterday, said contrary to reports, the ministry put in place logistics to contain crowds at the centres.
He also blamed the social media for the stampede, saying that many of the applicants were inviting friends and relatives who did not apply for the job to the centres through Facebook, text messages and other portals.
Muhammed said: “It’s odd that many of those who turned up included employed bankers, engineers, medical doctors, nurses, teachers and others who wanted to cross over to the Immigration Services at all costs.
“The Minister and officials of his ministry considered last Saturday’s incident as very regrettable, more so as the unexpected huge crowd shattered the near perfect arrangements they had put in place against anticipated huge crowd.
“The Interior Ministry made adequate provisions for the expected mammoth crowd at the National Stadium meant to conveniently sit 75,000 people." (Naij)

Jonathan orders cancellation of Immigration recruitment -

President Goodluck Jonathan Wednesday, directed the immediate cancellation of the immigration recruitment exercise that led to the death of more than twenty applicants and scores of others injured. -

The presidential directive was given at today’s Federal Executive Council meeting where the president further directed that all those who lost their loved ones would have automatic slot for three applicants, one of whom must be a woman.  Those who sustained injuries will also be automatically employed.  Details later.

She holds Guinness World Record  for the most pierced woman in the world.   A trained nurse, who no longer practices, Davidson got married in 2011 in Edinburg, Scotland, where she lives and runs an aromatherapy shop. She does not drink or use drugs.

Her husband, Douglas Watson has no visible piercings.

Pastor Arrested In Lagos For Defrauding Church Member Of N7 Million

Pastor Ikechukwu Ezeiru of the Christ Citizen Glorious Assembly, Okota, Lagos on Tuesday was arraigned before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrate’s Court for fraud.
The Pastor who was accused of allegedly defrauding a church member, Ifeanyi Ohazurume, of N7m claimed to have handed over the money over to his wife who also said she gave it to someone else.
According to the police said Ezeiru collected the money to help the defendant purchase auction goods from the Nigerian Customs Service and allegedly didn’t return the money or the goods.
Ezeiru was arraigned on three counts of obtaining under false pretences and stealing.
The charge reads in part, “That you, Pastor Ikechukwu Ezeiru, and others at large, sometime in the month of February, 2012, at about 10.00hours at First Bank Plc, Okota branch, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire to commit felony to wit: obtaining property by false pretences and stealing.
“That you on the same date, time and place in the aforesaid magisterial district, did obtain the sum of N7m from one Ifeanyi Ohazurume, under the pretext that you are in position to help him buy auction goods from Nigerian Customs Service, a representation you knew to be false.”
The police prosecutor, George Nwosu, who represented the resident prosecutor, DSP Etim Ekankuk, said the offences were punishable under sections 409 and 312 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2011.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge against him.The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Demi Ajayi granted the defendant to bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The matter was adjourned till April 16, 2014.

Nigerian Singer, Duncan Mighty led a group of people in Port Harcourt yesterday in a solidarity March for kidnapped Wazobia FM OAP, Anthony Akatakpo popularly known as Akas Baba, who was taken from his home on Thursday March 13th by unknown gunmen. They are trying to raise awareness about his kidnap as nothing has been heard from the kidnappers since his abduction.
