Uti Nwachukwu is Just A Friend: Singer Saeon

Fast rising singer, song writer, rapper and entertainer who have dazzled music lovers over the years with her endearing tunes and unique style of music, Oni Oluwaseun Omolara, better known as Saeon, has denied claims that she was in any relationship with big brother star, Uti Nwachukwu.

According to her, Uti is just a friend whom she has known for couple of years. “He's an amazing person, very dedicated to work. We have been working for years, and we are still working together.”

In a recent interview with Thisday Newspaper, the R 'n' B singer, Saeon, was specifically asked if she was in a relationship with him Uti? And she replied with “No comment about that (smiles).”

Government of Ghana Disputes World Cup Fans’ Brazil Asylum Bid| Says Ghana is a Peaceful Country…

After it emerged yesterday that over 200 Ghanaian football fans suspected to be part of the 650 official supporters the Government of Ghana sponsored to the 2014 Brazil World Cup were seeking for asylum in Brazil, the Government has reacted, suggesting that the grounds for their claims are false.
Before moving on to what the Government of Ghana is saying, let me point out that—if the Government attended to the problems of Ghana with the same swiftness with which it attends to issues damaging to its reputation, the country would have been better and these people will not be seeking for asylum in Brazil.
According to the fans who have become asylum seekers in Brazil, they are Muslims who are fleeing religious conflict in Ghana.
However, the Deputy Information Minister-Felix Kwakye Ofosu has come out to say, “the basis for this alleged [asylum] request is completely false as no religious conflict is taking place in Ghana”.
He added that, “Ghana’s mission in Brazil has been instructed to liaise with the Brazilian authorities to investigate the matter”.
No doubt Ghana is a peaceful country—and this is because the citizens love peace. However, Ghana is at economic war and these Ghanaians do not want to be part of the struggling, which is tipped to get worse should the Government continue this way…

Ghanaians Refuse to Leave Brazil Back to Ghana | Over 200 Fans Seek Asylum

After Ghana’s embarrassing demands for cash at the world cup and the ensuing spectacle, one would think their woes were over but no, more disgrace is on the way.
So many of the people who went to watch the world cup have decided that Ghana is too hot for them and so they cannot return! They are hence seeking asylum in Brazil!

I have no idea what they would have done if it was a booming economy they had walked into like in the USA or Germany. According to reports, hundreds of Ghanaians who entered Brazil as tourists to watch World Cup games have asked for asylum!

Noerci da Silva Melo head of Federal Police in Caxias do Sul said that over the past week 200 Ghanaians asked for asylum. And although they have not yet decided whether to grant their requests, they will be allowed for now to live and work in Brazil till they are accepted or denied.
According to these Ghanaians, they cannot return to Ghana because they gave several life threatening problems in Ghana and would rather stay away. Hahahah! Ei! Ghanaians! This always happens during football season when countries move to watch the games. I just wish Brazil would sack all of them back onto the next plane quickly! What annoying disgrace is this?

Some of them claim they are Muslims who are fleeing conflict.
Interesting that the Brazilians are even allowing them to stay for awhile. Most of them have left to other cities in Brazil to look for work and some are being taken care of by a roman catholic mission until they can be integrates into the system or returned home depending on what the outcome of their asylum request is.

A 15-year-old girl from Nepal committed suicide following Brazil’s humiliating loss

The tragedy occurred in Bharaul village, after the 1-7 to Germany in the semi-final match of 2014 FIFA World Cup between Brazil and Germany, when the 10th grade student Thapa Pragya unable to handle the depression caused by her favourite team’s defeat hanged herself, Daily Mail reports with reference to the local police.

The girl’s mother discovered her body Thursday morning. As the investigation into the case was commenced, a police inspector revealed to the press:
"She was anxious to see Brazil in the final, but it went down to Germany, Some of her friends started teasing her for supporting Brazil. Later in the morning, she took an extreme measure by hanging herself in her own room."

It would be recalled that hundreds of fans of the hosting country suffered great disappointment while watching the match.

Easy Ways to Remove Acne Scars Naturally and Fast.

(1) Egg Whites

Take a small bowl and whip 3 egg whites until they become fluffy and white. Use your fingers to gently spread the egg whites on to your skin - concentrate on the problem areas. Let the egg whites dry on the skin and wait a few minutes before rinsing away gently with moderately warm water. Do this 2-3 times a week.
 

(2) Baking Soda

Baking soda is coarse but not that coarse, its small particles are smooth and would not damage the skin. And if applied correctly it will gently slough off the top layer of dead skin cells without causing your sensitive facial skin to become irritated or inflamed. Simply mix a small amount of baking soda with water to make a consistent paste. Very gently massage the baking soda onto your skin and leave it on for one minute, before rinsing it off with lukewarm water. Remember to always moisturize your skin afterwards; I personally, massage a few drops of olive oil on my face and it works very well. Repeat this 2-3 times a week or depending on your exfoliation routine.
 

(3) Lemon Juice

Lemon juice contains citric acid which, along with lactic and glycolic acids, is one of the most commonly found Alpha Hydroxy Acids or AHAs. AHAs are very well known for their cosmetic usage. Many skin care products, including anti-aging creams and chemical peels, have AHAs in them as a key ingredient. Topical application of AHAs is said to induce an increased production of collagen and increased skin thickness. All of which equates to more healing for scarred skin. Additionally, lemon juice, due to it natural acidic content, is a powerful disinfectant which helps in destroying acne causing bacteria and it is a natural exfoliant which removes dead skins cells and facilitates the formation of new healthy skin. Furthermore, it helps in lightening the skin tone which helps in countering the effects of hyper-pigmentation - another souvenir of your acne days. As for the lemon juice remedy : Ensure that your skin is clean by washing it with a mild acne cleanser. Then take a bowl and squeeze 1-3 lemons in it or better yet buy an all natural lemon juice from your local grocery store. Take a cotton ball and dab it with the juice. Apply the juice to effected areas completely but don't overdo it. Repeat this 2-3 times a week. Remember if you have sensitive skin, the juice may induce a stinging effect, but it will likely happen only the first couple of times. If the stinging effect accompanies significant redness then discontinue usage because your skin is far too sensitive for this method. I have sensitive skin but it was bearable and the sensation did go away after the 3rd application..so its still a very workable solution for those with sensitive skins, but you need to listen to your skin's reaction before applying anything.
 

(4) Aloe Vera juice

Aloe Vera juice or gel, is a fantastic way to remove acne scars. Not only does it soothe inflamed skin, it also boosts the immune system and regenerates damaged tissue. Its mild acerbic qualities ensures that with regular usage acne breakouts would be easily prevented resulting in a softer skin, decreased swelling and invigorating new cell growth and thereby reduced acne scars which eventually fade over time. Many in the cosmetic industry are recognizing the importance of this miracle plant and incorporating its extracts in many skin care products. You can buy such over the counter products but I would strongly recommend getting either fresh aloe vera gel or juice every time by growing an aloe vera plant in your very backyard (believe me it isn't a hassle) or buy it in its all natural form without an additives.
 

(5) Olive Oil

Olive oil is packed with iron and vitamins A, D, E, C, B1 and B2. Vitamin E is increasingly being recognized as an important player in helping the fight against the aging process. Olive oil being rich in anti-oxidants and a good anti-inflammatory agent helps prevent acne and removes acne scars effectively. Because olive oil is non-comedogenic i.e it doesn't clog pores, and because it effectively dissolves dirt and oil trapped within our already clogged pores; it is a good acne scar treatment. Before going to bed gently massage olive oil onto your facial skin, concentrating on the trouble spots. Continue massaging for a few minutes till you can feel that your pores are completely saturated. Drape a warm wash cloth over your face to steam and hence open the pores. Gently wipe away the excess oil. Repeat the process 1-2 times before rinsing your face with cold water. Apply a very thin layer of olive oil on your face and leave it on for at least 15 minutes before going to bed.

Ghanian Film Maker Arrested For Sleeping With Girls In Exchange For Movie Role

A Ghanaian movie producer who has been alleged for sleeping with young ladies for the sake of giving them lead roles in movies has been arrested by the police.

His game came to an end after he deceived a 17 year old girl who is from a wealthy family, promising the young girl a role in an upcoming movie.

He allegedly slept with the girl twice daily for a period of two months promising to give her a lead role in the movie. Sadly the young girl never got her wish in the promised movie. She reported the case to her father and the angry father stormed the producer’s house with policemen.

According to reports, when they stormed the film maker’s house to get him arrested, the film maker was caught having an affair with another aspiring actress. However, he was promptly arrested.

But the man told me that the only most powerful, who can protect me surely is Jesus Christ. He further advised me to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior but I said that couldn’t happen because I couldn’t lose the tremendous powers I have. The man then told me that if I refused to accept Christ and serve the true living God, God would arrest me one day and bring me to Him. I told him to tell his God to bring me to Him if He likes.”
“It wasn’t up to a month after that encounter; I got roped in a robbery case."

On getting to the Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) of the police in Akure, he was arrested and threw in jail.

“Whenever, I have a case with the police, I don’t spend more than five minutes before solving it because I’m very popular with the police in the state…the policemen feared me, because I could pronounce a curse on them and they would be dismissed, but that night things turned suddenly against me. The police threw me into the cell and the next morning, my driver was brought to me. I was asked if I knew him and I said he is my driver. The police then said that I was being arrested on the suspicion that I sent the boy to rob.”

“My driver denied robbing anybody but the policemen beat the hell out of the two of us and threw us into the cell again. The next morning I was taken to the court and from there I was sent back to prison. And that was when a long nightmare began for me. I was detained and refused bail for over five months but God Himself visited me in the prison.”

One of his mates in the prison, a deadly thug turned Christian convert, Dagas preached to him.
“A prison mate named Dagas, who was jailed for being a deadly thug but had become a Christian convert in prison, preached to me and I was touched. One day, I had a powerful dream after praying with Dagas. I saw my dad by my bed in prison. He asked me if all the ancestral gods I was serving have saved me. He gave me a Yoruba Bible and asked me to first read Psalm 119: 68 which reads: ‘before I was afflicted, I had gone astray’.
“When I woke up and told Daggas about the dream, he praised God and said that my being imprisoned was God’s design to save me. Dagas said that it wasn’t my father who appeared in my dream but God himself.

“The brother urged me to continue to pray to God to deliver me from the prison…Barely a week after, the same judge who had been refusing me bail, rejected several sureties and all that, miraculously granted me bail.”
Having surrendered to Christ at the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Boboye advised the other traditional rulers, saying: “My advice to all the Obas and the chiefs is that they should accept Christ because He is the one that can solve their problems.
“Now that I have accepted Christ, I have peace of mind, I’m no longer afraid of anybody. In fact, before anything would happen to me, God would have revealed it to me in details in a vision. I have burn all the shrines I built for these small gods and I have denounced them publicly”

SHOCKER: NDLEA Offiical Lands In Court For Drug Trafficking

An official of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Ibidayin Godwin, and four others, Taiwo Adetoye, Taiwo Ososanya, Fatai Akera and Alhaji Yusuf Bankole, have been asked to be remanded in prison for allegedly trafficking drugs.
 
According to justice C. J. Aneke of the Federal High Court sitting at Ikoyi, on Wednesday, 9 July, 2014, all the accused are to be remanded in prison pending the perfection of their bail conditions.

PUNCH reports that the defendants were arraigned in court for conspiring with a drug baron, identified simply as Ossy, to export three kilogrammes of methamphetamine.
It was however gathered that the police are on the trail of the drug baron Ossy who has been announced to be at large.

All the defendants were reported to have pleaded not guilty to five counts of charges brought against them bordering on conspiracy.

“That you, Taiwo Adetoye, Fatai Akera and Ibidayin Godwin, conspired among yourselves with one Ossy, a drug baron now at large, to export three kilogrammes of methamphetamine; that you Taiwo Adetoye, Fatai Akera and Ibidayin Godwin exported three kilogrammes of meth without lawful authority.

“That you Taiwo Adetoye, Taiwo Ososanya and Yusuf Bankole, conspired to deal in and sell three kilogrammes of meth; that you Yusuf Bankole allowed your premises and office at the NAHCO shed to be used to store a parcel knowing that same contained three kilogrammes of meth,” the charges read in part.

According to the prosecutor, the offences were said to be contrary to and punishable under sections 11b, 11c, 12 and 14b of the NDLEA Act.
The defence counsel, Benson Ndakara, prayed the court that his clients be granted bail – a request the Director of Public Prosecutions, Joseph Sunday, represented by Ichapa Oigoga, contested.

Aneke, however, granted the accused bail in the sum of N5m each with a surety each in like sum.
Speaking on the matter, NDLEA Chairman, Mr. Ahmadu Giade, said the defendants would be brought to justice to serve as deterrent to other drug dealers, adding that the agency would be steadfast in its efforts at eradicating drug trafficking.

How Rapist Died While Raping A Lady In Abuja

A suspected rapist was shot dead last weekend by Policemen from Mabushi division as he and his gang were raping a 24-year-old lady at Mabushi area of Abuja.

A police source who spoke to Daily Trust said the victim, a banker was alighting from a taxi at Mabushi overhead bridge when she was approached by the gang of rapists.
They robbed her of her handbag, jewelries and other valuables, after which they took her to a nearby bush where they tore her clothes and two of them raped her.

Her cry for help was heard by the surveillance team who rescued her.
The police source explained that as the suspects saw the police approaching, they started shooting leading to gun battle. In the process, one of the suspected rapist was shot dead. Two others were arrested while the others managed to escape.
Confirming the incident, Mabushi divisional police officer, Deputy Superintendent Saheed Kazim said if not for the ladies cry for help which was heard, it would have been worse, adding that the deceased suspect was confirmed dead at Maitama General Hospital.

He said that two locally made pistols and different kind of daggers were recovered from the criminals.
He therefore advised residents to avoid lonely roads and unnecessary interaction with strangers.

  Most girls notice a yellow or white stain on their underwear after they go through puberty. This is a normal fluid that helps clean and moisten your vagina. You are completely healthy and normal if your discharge is cloudy white, has no odor or has a slightly salty odor, increases in amount and becomes "stringy" (like egg whites) during the middle of your menstrual cycle when you're ovulating, and is white or light yellow when it dries on underwear.
  
  If you find that your normal discharge is annoying, you can wear panty liners/shields on your underwear. Also, to keep your vaginal discharge under control, make sure you wear cotton underwear (which absorbs moisture and lets air circulate). Take daily showers or baths and make sure that you wash outside your vaginal area every day with mild soap, and then rinse and dry yourself. Don't use deodorized panty liners or deodorant sprays in your vaginal area.
  
  If your discharge changes, it may be a sign that you have a vaginal infection and you need to see your health care provider.
  
  
  What is a vaginal infection?
  A vaginal infection is known medically as "vaginitis." The 3 most common causes of vaginal infections are yeast infections, bacterial vaginosis, and trichomoniasis. Vaginal discharge may also occur if you have an infection in your cervix with gonorrhea or chlamydia. There are other causes of vaginal infections that are less common. Each type of vaginitis is caused by a different type of germ or organism, so each type must be treated differently.
  
  
  What are the signs/symptoms of a vaginal infection?
  If you have a vaginal infection, you may have any of the following:
  
• sexually active. Most women have a vaginal infection at least one time during their lives. Vaginal infections are actually the number one reason that adult women see their health care providers.  
• Vaginal discharge that is different from normal
• Vaginal odor (smell)
• Vaginal itching
• Pain or irritation when you urinate (pee)
• Pain and/or burning with sexual intercouse

Most women have symptoms, but some women may have very mild or no symptoms at all. A health care provider may notice signs of a vaginal infection (such as discharge or an odor) during a routine pelvic exam and then test the vaginal fluid to see if there is an infection. It's important to have regular check-ups with your health care provider so if you miss something, he/she may notice it.

What do I do if I think I have a vaginal infection?

If you have any of the symptoms of a vaginal infection, you should see your health care provider right away. Each kind of vaginal infection has different symptoms. It's hard to know exactly which type of vaginal infection you have just by your symptoms alone, since many of the signs are similar. It's also possible to have more than one type of vaginal infection at the same time. This is why it's important to see your health care and find out what type of vaginitis you have and get treated. It's also important to find out if you have a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Only health care providers can find out if you definitely have a vaginal infection. You should be completely honest with your health care provider about what symptoms you have, such as odor, burning, or strange vaginal discharge, even if it is embarrassing. This way, your health care provider can make a correct diagnosis and prescribe the right treatment.

Can I douche if I have a vaginal infection?

No. You should never douche! Douching can cause infections by changing the normal balance of organisms in your vagina. Douching can also make an infection worse if you already have one, push the infection up into your uterus and fallopian tubes, or hide symptoms of a vaginal infection so it's harder to diagnose. Other things that can cause vaginal infections are scented tampons, deodorant spray, and harsh soaps. You don't need any of these things to clean your vagina. Your vagina cleans itself naturally. You don't need to buy any special products, just wash the outside with mild soap and water, and pat dry.

How can a health care provider tell if I have a vaginal infection?

Your health care provider will use a cotton swab to take a sample of your vaginal discharge to look at it under a microscope and to check with pH paper or send the sample to the laboratory. This may mean just an external exam with Q-tip samples, or it may mean a vaginal exam with a speculum (a metal or plastic instrument inserted into your vagina and then slightly opened up in order to get a better look at your vagina and cervix). The tests are very simple and quick.

Does my health care provider check to see if I have a vaginal infection when he/she does my Pap test?

If the outward symptoms, such as discharge or odor are obvious enough, your health care provider will do some tests to see if you do have a vaginal infection. However, you should still make sure to tell your health care provider if you're having symptoms. A Pap test is done to check for changes in the cells of your cervix that can lead to cervical cancer (not for diagnosing vaginitis), but sometimes signs of vaginitis show up on the Pap test results. If this happens, you may get a call or letter letting you know that you have a vaginal infection along with treatment instructions.

What can I do to prevent vaginal infections?

The best way to prevent vaginal infections is to practice good feminine hygiene. Vaginal infections can happen more than once. You should always follow this advice:

• Keep your vaginal area clean and dry. You should wash the outside of your vaginal area every day with mild soap and warm water, and then rinse well. Be sure to pat the area dry with a dry towel.
• Don't douche. Douching can upset the normal balance of organisms in your vagina, which can cause a vaginal infection, make an infection worse, or spread the infection further up into your reproductive organs (your uterus and/or fallopian tubes).
• Don't use perfumed soaps, perfumed bubble bath or gel, scented tampons, vaginal powders, or vaginal deodorant sprays. They can irritate your vagina and cause a vaginal infection. If your vaginal area is already irritated, you should not use scented toilet paper, spermicides, or harsh soaps.
• Don't wear tight or damp clothing, because they can keep moisture in and irritate your vagina. If you do have to wear tight clothing, don't wear it for a long time. Wear white cotton underwear. Avoid nylon and lycra. Cotton helps to absorb moisture and allows air to get through. If you wear pantyhose, remember to wear cotton underwear.
• Practice safe sex. You shouldn't have sex with someone with a sexually transmitted infection. No matter what, you should always use latex (or polyurethane) condoms to lessen your chance of getting sexually transmitted infections.
• If you use diaphragms, cervical caps, or any medication applicators, you need to make sure you clean them with warm water and soap and dry them well.

Other Causes of Vaginal Infections

There are other causes of vaginal infections besides the 3 most common causes, yeast infections, bacterial vaginosis, and trichomoniasis. Other possible causes may include sexually transmitted infections (STIs), a tampon left in too long, a congenital vaginal or uterus problem (something you have since birth, which is very rare), or an allergy to or irritation from:

• Spermicides
• Vaginal hygiene products
• Detergents
• Fabric softeners

These products can cause irritation to the vagina, but when a health care provider does tests on your vaginal discharge, he/she can figure out if your infection is one of the 3 more common ones or if it's different. If it's different, your health care provider will have to treat it depending on what caused it. You should always see your health care provider if you notice symptoms of a vaginal infection to make sure that you get it diagnosed and treated correctly.

Pastors Arrested For Raping 12-Year-Old Girl and a Married Woman

Two Pastors, Uwem Friday and Samson Odeyemi who committed an abominable act by sleeping with a 12-year-old girl and a married woman in Edo state have confessed to the crime.

Pastor Uwem Friday who raped his victim at a farm in Okokwo village, area of Edo state in November 2013 and threatened that she would dead should she reveal his dastardly act to anyone was arrested after the 12-year-old girl became pregnant and her revealed to her worried parents on May 30, 2014 that the pastor was responsible.
It was reported on June 13, that Pastor Uwem Friday was sentenced to five years imprisonment by an Ekiadolor Magistrate Court, Edo State for raping a 12-year-old at a farm in Okokhuo village, Ovia North East Local Government area of the state.

Pastor Friday Uwem in his confession said: “The victim is the daughter of my neighbour, who is my friend. It was in the evening that I lured her with biscuit and money and I took her to the bush and raped her. I had sex with her once. I didn’t use condom. I am responsible for the pregnancy.
After raping her, I threatened her not to tell anybody. I told her that she would die if she told anybody. It was when the pregnancy became known that her parents came to my house and I confessed to them.”

Meanwhile 38-year-old Pastor Samson Odeyemi who was arraigned for raping a 40-year-old married woman in May under the pretext of spiritual cleansing to solve her problem in Igeobazuwa area of Benin City has also confessed to the crime.
The victim (name withheld) while recounting what transpired said: “I had a problem and needed a solution. When I got to Pastor Odeyemi, I narrated my problem to him and he promised to pray for me. Later he said I have to take a spiritual bath in the river for the problem to be solved. I accepted the advice. The following day, we went to the river. When we got there, he ordered me to remove all my clothes. Initially, I refused to undress, but he insisted that if I bathe with my clothes on, my problem would not be solved. When I undressed, Odeyemi dragged me to the side of the river and raped me. When I got home, I couldn’t sleep; later I felt sick and was convinced that what Pastor Odeyemi did to me was abomination.
“When I couldn’t bear it any longer, I had to inform my husband about the ugly incident. Immediately, we went to the police station in Benin City and reported the case. Pastor Odeyemi was arrested.”
Pastor Odeyemi told Sunday Sun: “It is true that the victim came to me and she told me about her problem. In the process, the devil used me. I deceived her and took her to the river side and insisted that she must undress for the spiritual bath. Then I raped her; I told her it was through that process that her problem would be solved. I have been using this method to deceive several women and ladies by raping them at the riverside and I would tell them that their prayers had been answered. I want the victims to forgive me.”

The Edo State Police Commissioner has however advised people to be wary of pastors they associate with and seek help from, stressing that many of them are like wolves in sheep’s clothing.

This abominable act by some pastors is becoming a matter of serious concern.
It would be recalled in May, an Enugu pastor, the General Overseer of Vineyard Ministry of the Holy Trinity, Timothy Ngwu was arrested for impregnating over 20 female church members under the pretext that he was obeying the will of God.

Man Tells Court That He Mistakenly Impregnated His Elder Sister

A 25 year old man, Shamsu Isa has confessed to committing incest after he told a magistrate court, yesterday, in Kano State that he impregnated his elder sister by mistake.

The Ward Head of the Takalmawa Quarters, had reported to the police that the accused person was having sexual intercourse with his elder sister, contrary to the law.
The First Information Report by the police stated that a case of incest was reported to the police following the discovery that Isa’s elder sister, identified as Na’ima was carrying her younger brother’s baby.
According to the report: “On July 4, 2014, the Ward Head of Takalmawa Quarters reported to the police that, Shamsu Isa was having sexual intercourse with his elder sister.

The accused, Isa, when the charge was read to him said: ‘’The allegation levelled  against me is true. All that had been read against me, is true, it was a mistake, I mistakenly inpregnated her, my elder sister.”

According to the charge, the accused person committed “incest contrary to section 390 of the Penal Code Law. Naima Isa, 27, is believed to have a weak mind is heavy.’’

Meanwhile the prosecutor, Corporal Ibrahim Abdulrazak applied for the matter to be adjourned to another date, to enable the police conclude investigations into the case.
The Senior Magistrate, Ummi Sani Kurawa, however, in her ruling ordered that, Isa be remanded in prison custody, and adjourned the matter to August 4, for mention.

Atletico Madrid sign Mario Mandzukic

The reigning Liga champions have officially announced their capture of the Croatia international from Bayern Munich, with the 28-year-old excited to work with Diego Simeone Atletico Madrid have confirmed the signing of Mario Mandzukic from Bayern Munich for a fee believed to be in the region of €22 million. The Spanish champions have long been linked with a move for the Croatia international, who grew disenchanted under Pep Guardiola and was deemed surplus to requirements following the free transfer of Robert Lewandowski, as they sought a replacement for Chelsea-bound Diego Costa. Landlord Sexually Assaulted Tenant’s 7-Yr-Old Daughter, Pleaded Not Guilty

A 40-year-old man was detained by police on suspicion of rape and appeared in Yaba Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Wednesday.

It was gathered that John Ogunsola, who lives at 61, Olatunde St., Oke Ira, Ogba, Lagos, lured his tenant’s seven-year-old daughter to his apartment and sexually assaulted her with his finger. The accused committed the offence on May 27 while the girl’s parents were not at home. Later one of the tenants told the girl’s mother about the incident and the matter was reported to the police.

“Ogunsola had, on the fateful day, called the minor to purchase a bottle of Pepsi drink for him. When she arrived with the drink, he told her to bring it to him in his room. He then indecently assaulted her by inserting his finger into her private part,” the prosecutor said.

However, Ogunsola pleaded not guilty to the charge. The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Yewande Aje-Afunwa, granted bail to the defendant in the sum of a N2m with two sureties each in the like sum.

The offence contravened Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011, and could attract life imprisonment. The case was adjourned till August 7 for hearing.

Luis Suarez is on the brink of officially completing his sensational transfer from Liverpool to Barcelona after the terms of a deal worth just over €88 million were agreed on Wednesday night. The 27-year-old is currently serving a four-month ban – which runs until October 26 – for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini while playing for Uruguay in his nation’s final World Cup group stage match. Barca will partly fund the signing of the 27-year-old by selling Alexis Sanchez to Arsenal. Jonathan Nominates FRSC Leader For Minister Position

President Goodluck Jonathan today has nominated the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Marshal Mr. Osita Chidoka and Mr. Suleiman Abubakar for a ministerial position.



The Chief Executive Officer and Corps Marshal, Osita Chidoka will represent Anambra state in the Federal Executive Council and will get the position pending screening and confirmation by the Senate.

Representing Kwara state, Mr. Suleiman Abubakar will also be required to get screened and confirmation by the senate.

Corps Marshal Osita Chidoka got his position after replacing the retired Major Gen (rtd) Halidu Hananiya.

He has earned an award of the FCT NYSC Honours award for wonderful Service, he also has received a

The cleric who was just recovering from an undisclosed ailment managed to open the door only to see his brother in-law, simply identified as Femi aka One-man Mopol. Femi, according to Evangelist Adebola’s son, who was a landlord in the neighbourhood.

The visibly agitated Femi was alleged to have beckoned on the cleric to come and pray for his pregnant wife who had some health complications after dinner.

In a jiffy, the cleric and his wife allegedly followed their visitor to his house and that was the last time they were seen alive.

A search for Superior Evangelist Adebola who was the Shepherd of Celestial Church of Christ, Gethsemane parish, Ofin in Igbogbo-Bayeku Local Council Development Area, was allegedly called by the Community Development Association, CDA in the neighbourhood. The Celestial church also raised a team of prayer warriors to unravel the mystery surrounding the disappearance of the cleric and his wife who was a commercial try-cyclist driver in the locality.

A member of the church told Vanguard Metro, VM that while the search parties and prayer sessions were still ongoing, neighbours started perceiving an offensive odour and swarm of flies around the One-man Mopol’s house.

A member of the CDA who pleaded anonymity told VM that One- man Mopol who worked with a private company in Lagos, had been absent from his place of work for days, prompting his colleagues to also raise a search party to locate his where-about. Their efforts proved futile until they visited the Ofin community. Calls put on his cell phone and that of his wife were not picked. The putrefying odour and swarm of flies within One-man Mopol’s residence, heightened their anxiety and suspicion. The CDA which was also involved in the search, brought in local security.

Eyewitnesses told VM that the said building was locked from within, thereby preventing people from gaining access into the house. After failed efforts to gain entry into the house, the local security organisation in Ikorodu which was invited by the CDA, climbed the roof of the building through a pidgeon hole.

To their greatest disbelief, they found the remains of the cleric and his wife as well as that of One-man Moplol and his wife. Two of the corpses were allegedly lying in the pool of their own blood while foam was oozing out from One-man Mopol’s mouth. His deceased wife was said be having a mould of food on her hand. This discovery led to the invitation of the men of the Nigeria Police.

VM learnt that it took a while before the corpses were removed from the scene of the crime and taken to the morgue for autopsy.

A resident who pleaded anonymity said One- man Mopol” had a queer character. He was alleged to have divorced his first wife who gave birth to five children for him. One-man Mopol was described as a bully.

When VM visited the Celestial Church in Ofin community last Sunday, a guest speaker was on hand to conduct the service with only three other worshipers. The five children of the deceased could not be located as relations had taken them away.

Two members of the church who simply gave their names as Alfa and Segun, said the cleric was murdered at a time they needed him most.

Some residents told VM the disaster was facilitated by the noise from generating sets.

‘’There is no way all of them would have died without the cry for help but the sound of the generators made it impossible for their distress calls to be heard,” one of them said. Meanwhile, a source in CCC, said plans are in top gear to retrieve the corpses from the Corona Court for interment.

Nicki Minaj was photographed on her way to rehearsal yesterday, and she was looking fairly disheveled and not like her usual fashionable self. The award-winning rapper's hair was a mess and she was wearing old sweats and sneakers and with very little to no make up on.

This is coming just days after Nicki Minaj gave an acceptance speech at the BET Awards on Sunday, that appeared to throw shade at other female rappers, especially Iggy Azalea, an upcoming rapper who was also nominated for the same award.

Nicki said in her speech that when "you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it." Some say this is a pointed dig at Iggy Azalea who's been rumored to work with ghostwriters and who some say is on her way to taking Nicki Minaj's crown as the best female MC.

When their respective fans and media outlets reported on the shade, Nicki came out on Twitter to clear the air.

"The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different. I will always take a stance on women writing b/c I believe in us! ...

I've congratulated Iggy on the success of 'Fancy,' publicly. She should be very proud of that. All the women nominated should b proud. ...

That will never change my desire to motivate women to write. Our voices have to be heard. I hope I inspire up & coming females to do that."

Azalea had initially remained silent on the subject, but the day after Nicki's tweets, the younger rapper released a statement on her Instagram account;

"I have to say the general explosion of pettiness online in the last few days is hard to ignore and honestly ... lame. If I had won the BET award that would've been great but it wasn't my year and I don't mind -- so you shouldn't either.

"Generally speaking, I'm unbothered by anything that 'happened' at the BET awards, and just feel worn out by everyone trying to make me have wars with people all the time. Anyone who wishes me well is welcome in my life and those who don't can't get any more of my time. I hate to see everyone exhausting themselves on my behalf over things that I'm still not sure even exist and don't matter. Just let it go."

Kill Kendall Jones Page: NOT Taken Down By Facebook!

Facebook has allowed the "Kill Kendall Jones" community page to stay up, ruling upon review that it does not violate the social network's community standards.
This despite the fact that several of the now-infamous Kendall Jones hunting photos were taken down for violating the company's policies regarding animal abuse.

The 19-year-old cheerleader from Texas, an avid hunter, sparked plenty of outrage and admiration by posing with her trophy kills (see gallery below) last week.
Facebook nixed a series of photos that showed her posing with a variety of animals, including a leopard and a lion, that she had shot on safari in Zimbabwe.
The pictures were said to break a rule about “graphic images shared for sadistic effect or to celebrate or glorify violence,” as outlined by the company.
Many Facebook users want to Kill Kendall Jones, however, and her father is livid that such content is allowed to stay up while her pictures are not.
Cody Jones says he contacted Facebook, demanding they take down the "Kill Kendall Jones" page and its many posts and pics urging his daughter's murder.
He says Facebook shut him down, reviewing the page and determining that it didn't violate standards, despite it being a takeoff of Kendall's own postings.
In fact, some of the exact photos she shared are still up in doctored form.
The Kill Kendall page turns the tables on Jones, with the animals standing over a dead hunter (usually her). Somewhere, Joanna Krupa is smiling at this.
Facebook says, "We remove content and may escalate to law enforcement when we perceive a genuine risk of physical harm, or a direct threat to public safety."
Apparently, they feel a page called Kill Kendall Jones doesn't qualify.

Kojo Williams Explains How The Sports Minister Could Have Saved Nigeria From FIFA Ban

Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) yesterday banned Nigeria from participating in any FIFA sanctioned event, National team or club side due to government interference in the sport.

Former Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF Kojo Williams has revealed that the recent ban was expected. Kojo was talking to reporters from Vanguard and talked of his disapointment with the new Sports Minister, Tammy Danagogo and his ministry for not handling the sack of NFF chairman and his board.

Kojo said: “I am disappointed that the Minister of Sports was not properly advised. FIFA has got structures and you cannot tamper with its structures and go free.”
He said that Minister Danagogo should have waited till August and then allow Maigari to be gone, He said: “If they wanted to sack the Maigari board, they should have waited for the August election. That is when they should have executed all their plans.

They are in a hurry. I don’t really know what they want. If they claim Maigari spent money, they should have asked him to explain how he spent the money. It is a shame,”

“I am shocked that we can still find ourselves in this kind of situation given our level of exposure. Some of us saw it coming. It is unfortunate” he said.

This is not the first time FIFA has banned Nigeria, Nigeria was banned in 1996 when then Military President Abacha interfered in the running of football in the country.

Wizkid Expresses Worry Over Inadequate Sleep

Star Boy boss, Wizkid, has expressed worry over his sleep pattern. The singer, who is always busy traveling to many countries for shows, disclosed that he has not been able to sleep well lately as he would have expected.

He expressed this in his recent tweet. According to him, he needs to go on a vacation in order for him to observe rest.

Wizkid said, “My sleep pattern is so messed up! Too many trips, different time zones! Don't why i'm up!”

President Jonathan Arrives Ghana For ECOWAS Summit (Photos)

President Goodluck Jonathan has arrived Ghana for the 45^th Ordinary session of ECOWAS Summit of Heads of State and Government.

He arrived the country in company of the Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Olusegun Aganga and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aminu Wali. He is expected back to Nigeria on Friday after the two-day summit.

The Department of State Service, DSS, in Awka, yesterday, paraded a native doctor, Nze Sunday Asika (aka Aboy Ekwensu) and another suspect, Mr. Uchenna Ibeh for the murder of a vulcanizer, John Nwosu.

The accused native doctor, Asika and his culprit, Ibeh both confessed to killing the deceased who is from Ahiazu Mbaise in Imo State and then buried him in a shallow grave at Nkpologwu in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
However, both Asika and Ibeh did not agreed on who masterminded the killing.
The native doctor, Asika told Vanguard at DSS headquarters in Awka admitted to shooting the deceased but said Ibeh was the one that provided the gun which he used in killing the deceased and added he also carried the body and buried him in the grave.
He said further that Ibeh threatened to kill him if he allowed John to go because John had not been giving them money brought by his brother in South Africa.
Ibeh, on the other hand, however admitted that he was the person that took security operatives to the place where John was buried but said that he was only working for the native doctor as an electrician.
The Anambra State Director of DSS, Mr. Alex Okeiyi, told newsmen in Awka that the deceased approached the native doctor to help him prepare charm for his brother residing in South Africa for business growth.

Okeiyi said: “Nwosu’s brother had sent him to the native doctor for a charm to make his business in South Africa flourish, but the charm seemed not to be effective as his brother in South Africa was still having problems with his business.
“This forced his brother, John, to demand refund of the N500,000 he said he paid for the charm and this was his mission to the house of the native doctor. There, the native doctor and Ibeh lured him out of the native doctor’s house at about 8pm and murdered him.
“Asika shot him with a gun and they buried him in a sitting position in a shallow grave they prepared earlier.
“Ibeh confessed the native doctor had asked the deceased to stay back for a sacrifice on the fateful night, only for him to shoot him to death and he (Ibeh) buried the victim in an already dug pit and they headed to an unknown destination.
“Thereafter, the native doctor ordered the dismantling of the deceased’s motorcycle and used the parts to repair his faulty CG motorcycle with number plate, Enugu QP 782 UWH, and threw the dismantled motorcycle into a stream to obliterate evidence that would show that the deceased visited the native doctor.”

According to Okeiyi, a homicide team from the Anambra State Police Command led by a pathologist exhumed the remains of the deceased in the shallow grave at Nkpologwu in Aguata Local Government Area.
Meanwhile Okeiyi said the native doctor has been a terror in his Nkpologwu community, adding that available information indicates that he has been providing spiritual protection to high profile criminals in Anambra and other neighbouring states.
The wife of the deceased, Mrs. Ndidi Nwosu, a mother of three who said she was three months pregnant when her husband disappeared said things have been difficult for her and the kids since the murder of her husband as it has been members of her church, neighbours and relations that have assisting them.
