Meet The Youngest Delegate At The National Conference

If you think that the National Conference consists of “sleepy old men” who have nothing to offer, you will have to think again.
Meet The Youngest Delegate At The National Conference
A bright and talented girl from Borno State, Yadoma Bukar Mandara, would definitely break the stereotype of a typical Confab member. She turned 24 on the March 5, 2014, and she is still single.
Yadoma is the last daughter of the late Alhaji (Dr) Zannah Bukar Umaru Mandara, the very well respected in Zanna Dujima of Borno State, a philanthropist and promoter of female education.
Meet The Youngest Delegate At The National Conference
The youngest Confab delegate graduated University of Maiduguri in 2010, specialising in environmental biology.
She calls herself an introvert but do not be deceived by her cool mien, she is very outspoken and is an executive committee member of the Nigerian Youth Forum. As a matter of fact, she is one of the most passionate activists behind the #OccupyNigeria protests.
It has been also learnt that the beauty and the activist enjoys watching football.
Concerning the National Conference, she said: “I am willing to make modest sacrifices so that my generation and generation yet unborn can live in a better country”.
Speaking about the N12m sitting allowances Yadoma revealed that she and some of her colleagues would not collect and use the money for themselves only:
“We have a scenario where things we take for granted mean the world to others – physically challenged people who will never be able to afford wheel chairs and thousands of people who can’t afford medical care because they are poor and have been injured by terrorists. I want them to consider my sitting allowance as a gift to them and humanity.
“I do not do this for praise nor to look good in the eyes of the society, I am doing this because it is the right thing to do.
“I hereby pledge to use my allowances as a seed grant and start a foundation that will cater for vulnerable women especially widows and children in Borno State, if you understand their hopeless and helpless state in Borno State and Northern Nigeria in general you will support me in this new drive to put a smile on their faces,” Yadoma declared.
