According to report, the Pastor (name withheld) dedicated the baby on Sunday June 1, 2014 and the baby died right there in the church.
According to an eyewitness, during the dedication, the pastor sprinkled oil on the baby and prayed with even carrying the baby in his arms.
"It was an unusual thing to have seen a pastor dedicating a baby without carrying the baby. What the Pastor did was to sprinkle oil and he prayed without even touching the baby," the eyewitness said.
When the parents were asked by some people they invited for the dedication why the Pastor didn't touch the baby, the couple said that's how it was done in the church.
At the close of service, the parents discovered that their baby was no longer breathing. They called the pastor who had disappeared from church but he said he couldn't come back as he had already taken off his clothes.
The bereaved couple had to go and bury their dead baby with the assistance of some of the invited guests.
The next day, the Pastor was said to have sent some people to pay a condolence visit to the couple.
During the visit, the mother of the dead baby mad it known that she was not pleased with action of the Pastor over the death of her baby and the emissary took words back to the pastor who is now threatening to sue Mrs Amaka Mark if she does not retract her statement within 7days.
However, the couple made it clear to the pastor that they were ready for any legal tussle with him and now he is pleading with them not to make the matter public.
