‘Why Fake Soldier’s Boyfriend Exposed Her To Military’

A fake soldier, Angela Omieh has been exposed by her boyfriend and arrested by the Nigerian Army, Akure, Ondo State.

An in-law to Angela, Anthony Nworgu disclosed that her boyfriend who they both planned to marry with a date already fixed for February28, 2014 exposed her after she demanded for the a refund of a sum of N300,000 since the marriage had been aborted.
Things took a different turn after Nworgu who had visited Angela's family members and arrangement had been put in place for their traditional wedding in Cross River state changed his mind about marrying her, dumped her for another lady he'll rather spend his life with.
However, Nworgu, a businessman although he says he's not in support of the crime Angela committed but that the Army should also question the ex-fiancee since he was aware she was a fake soldier and planned to marry her.
The 323 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Akure, Ondo State, had last week paraded Omieh for posing as a soldier. Sets of military uniform, police extract and a sworn affidavit for loss of her military identity card were said to have been found with her.
The Public Relations Officer of the brigade, Captain Ademola Adegoke, had said Omieh was arrested following a report by her boyfriend, adding that the suspect was also discovered to be in possession of two pairs of camouflage T-shirt and shorts, one pair of desert boot, one jungle hat and three handsets.
Jegede, however, when contacted denied such claims of him collecting money from his ex-fiancée.
