Reports coming out of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT,
indicate that the Police headquarters in Abuja has ordered the
deployment of scores of undercover operatives to satellite towns within
and outside the capital city.

According to Vanguard
website, the move by the Police headquarters in Abuja is to ensure that
terrorists and trouble makers did not cause trouble before, during and
after the World Economic Forum starting on Wednesday in Abuja.
It
was gathered that officers of the Force Intelligence Bureau, Force
Criminal Investigations Department and men of the counter terrorist unit
dressed in mufti, have moved to satellite towns like Nyanya, Suleija,
Mararaba, Gwagwalada, Abaji, Kubwa, Dei-Dei, Karmo and Dutse among
others.
Reports
also stated that the Force headquarters ordered increased vehicular
patrols while helicopters are to provide direction and information to
ground personnel in case of a security breach.
No fewer than 5,
000 Police officers have allegedly been mobilized to provide security
cordon in the federal capital territory during the period of the World
Economic Forum.
As a result, all entry points into the federal capital city have been witnessing heavy Police presence.
Police
Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Frank Mba, through a detailed
Operational Order, made a statement as regards the deployment released
on May 4, 2014.
