Protesting Polytechnic Students/Lecturers get Teargassed & Water Canoned by Abuja Police (Photos)


There are reports that the ongoing protest by striking lecturers of Nigeria’s polytechnics and colleges of education at the Federal Secretariat, Abuja, has been disrupted by the police.
 
The peaceful protest, which was organized to show displeasure at the Federal Government’s handling of the strike which is about 11 months old now was disrupted on Tuesday morning when police officers fired tear-gas at the protesters, made up of lecturers and students. (Laila)
