Check out footballer Dani Alves' greatest response to racism

The best way to combat racism.... treat the racist berk with complete disdain!

Barcelona defender Dani Alves responded to a racist taunt in the most incredible way during Sunday's game against Villareal at the Estadio El Madrigal.

As he was preparing to take a corner in the 75th minute, a banana was thrown at him in a racist taunt, but guess what happened?...... the Brazilian calmly picked it up, peeled it and ate it before proceeding to take a corner kick.

Alves had already played a key part in sparking his team's 3-2 comeback. Shortly after the banana incident, he then delivered a cross that Mateo Musacchio headed into his own goal before Lionel Messi scored Barcelona's winner.

Alves has been applauded for his response. Team-mate Neymar, Napoli’s Dries Mertens, Manchester City striker and Brazil star Martahe are among the few to have quickly showed their support by posting pictures of themselves with bananas after the match

This is not the first time for the Brazilian footballer to face racism on the pitch. He complained about it last year after being taunted by monkey chants from sections of the crowd during a match at Real Madrid.

Racism in football is becoming an issue in Europe and enough is not being done to stop it. Now that is how you deal with Racists!....he made the person who threw the banana look as ridiculous as he is.
