29-Year-Old Man Dies In Girlfriend’s Apartment In Delta


A woman has been arrested and detained after her 29-year-old boyfriend reportedly died in her apartment at the Irri Quaters in Ulli-Iyede community, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The deceased, Harrison Ighoroje, a graduate of the Delta State University (DELSU), was said to be a teacher at a private secondary school in another community and had visited the lady to spend the night with her.

According to source, the circumstances surrounding his death which is said to have set his kinsmen against those of the lady, could not be ascertained just yet but according to one of his close friends, the lady had put an urgent call across to him in the night informing him that Ighoroje had suddenly developed a sickness and was convulsing seriously.

Efforts were made by some concerned neighbourss to resuscitate the man around 3am of the fateful day, but he unfortunately couldn’t survive.

The woman was urged to file a report of the death to the police after the man was pronounced dead.

One of her friends who spoke anonymously said, “I was reluctant to go there after receiving the call because it came in the wee hours of the day. Seeing that her lover had died, the girlfriend raced to the Divisional Police Headquarters in Oleh to report herself.
She was thereafter detained until autopsy would be conducted on Harrison’s body.”
