Tonight at 9 pm EST, the long-awaited Bruce Jenner - Diane Sawyer Interview
will air on ABC, and over the course of the two-hour special, Jenner is
expected to offer details of the sex change that's been the subject of
tabloid headlines for over a year.
There have been rumors about Bruce changing his/her name or
asking his kids to call him/her mom, but according to a new report from
Radar Online, some of the most important aspects of Jenner's identity
will remain the same despite his altered appearance.
“Brandon will continue to call Bruce ‘Dad,’ and Brody will still refer
to him either by his first name, or his nickname, Bruiser,” one insider
says. “Bruce will reveal during the interview that he will always be his
kids’ ‘Dad,’ even though he will now be living his life as a woman.
“For Bruce, it’s about what the kids are comfortable with. None of the
kids will be calling him ‘Mom.’ This is truly uncharted territory for
the family, and it’s about respecting each other during the process."
Several tabloids have claimed that Bruce will re-introduce himself as a woman during tonight's interview.
Generally, such a coming-out would include the unveiling of a new name, but it sounds like that may not be the case with Bruce.
Instead, he'll be a woman with a penchant for full-lenght dresses who goes by "Bruiser." We love it.
