According to Time Magazine, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner are two of the Most Influential Teens of 2014.
This may be a depressing fact, but it's a fact nonetheless. And it's
one the teenage sisters recognize as both important and flattering.
"We are so honored to be included on the Time magazine list of ‘Most
Influential Teens,'" Kendall and Kylie told E! News not long after the
prestigious list went viral. "There are incredible teens on this list
and we are so proud to be in their company."
Other deemed noteworthy by Time editors include Malala Yousafzai, who
just became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in
honor due to her activism towards women's education.
She was actually shot in the head by the Taliban at the age of 15, but
only used that experience as motivation to increase her very impressive,
very brave efforts.
Sasha Obama, Malia Obama, Jaden Smith, Austin Mahone and Lorde were
also featured by Time as Influential Teens, though, among these
celebrities, only Kendall and Kylie have released a nail polish line.
They've also authored a novel and hosted many red carpet events, while
Kendall's modeling career has taken off in recent months.
Some critics, of course, have disagreed with Time's decision to feature
the Jenners, but talk show host Wendy Williams is fully behind the
decision.
"They are influential to teens!" Williams said on her self-titled talk
show Tuesday. “Either teen girls want to look like them…or dress like
them. They follow them on Instagram. They should be on this list, that's
all!"
