Caitlyn Jenner Dines with Transgender Friends: See the Pic!

Caitlyn Jenner went from throwing around money on Sunday night to using it as a meant of dining currency a day later.

The 65-year old reality star stopped by a New York City Gay Pride Parade party over the weekend and made it rain while dancing around, multiple sources confirm.

Then, on Monday, Caitlyn enjoyed a nice dinner with a few friends in the transgender community.
 Caitlyn Jenner with Friends
“Such a fun dinner in NYC w/this powerful group of trans women,” she wrote of a group that included actress Candis Cayne, author Kate Bornstein and model Geena Rocero, adding:
“They are all so beautiful.”

Rocero also posted a shared of herself next to Jenner and Cayne, writing as a caption:
“Amazing dinner with fabulous Caitlyn Jenner, Candis Cayne and many more power Trans Ladies! #TransPinay #genderproud #girlslikeus #transisbeautiful."

Caitlyn Jenner, of course, continues to be in the news following her groundbreaking reveal this spring on the cover of Vanity Fair.

Just last week, President Obama gave Caitlyn props during a taping of Logo’s Trailblazer Honors in The Big Apple.

That's pretty darn cool.

Wife Poisons Her Husband To Be With A Boyfriend In Lagos

A housewife, Kwenume Ojo (aka Abiodun), has been arrested by men of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly killing her husband, 32 years old Jimoh Ojo, in the Yaba area of the state.

It was learnt that Kwenume put poison in her husband’s soft drink and forced it down his throat while he was asleep in his home.

The young wife suspect took the poison from a relative of her boyfriend after she was forced to marry Jimoh. The incident happened on Friday on Apolo Street, in the Makoko area of Lagos.

Jimoh’s in-law, Rotimi Akinlagun, explained that the deceased was retarded, which made it difficult for him to get a wife. He said his marriage to Kwenume was arranged by the two families.

He said, “Jimoh was a carpenter. When he was born, he fell sick and that affected his health as he became retarded. When he became mature, we decided to get him a wife. We started asking around for anybody who could give him a wife.

“Kwenume’s father heard and he contacted Jimoh’s family. He gave them Kwenume to become Jimoh’s wife. She had no choice in the matter.”

We learnt that Kwenume’s father took the decision to prevent her from marrying her boyfriend, who he did not like. The dislike, it was gathered, stemmed from the maltreatment of Kwenume’s sister, who was married into the boyfriend’s family.

“She was brought to me and we took her to Jimoh’s hometown in Yewa, Ogun State. He was going there to make love with her. After six months, she became pregnant and we brought her back to Lagos State.

“The couple moved into a new apartment to start a new family. Their apartment was close to my house so I could monitor them. Abiodun (Kwenume) was assisting my wife to sell food at her canteen,” Rotimi added.

It was learnt that after giving birth to a baby girl, christened Hannah, the suspect became attracted to her former boyfriend and she started visiting him.

She was said to have met his elder brother, Wensu, an herbalist, who allegedly gave her the poison to put in her hubby’s drink so she could marry the unidentified boyfriend.

Jimoh’s elder sister, Modupe Akinlagun, said the victim had returned from work on the fateful Friday and visited her shop to get food.

She said, “He dished the food himself and ate. After eating, I asked him to go home and rest. When his wife returned from an errand I sent her, I asked her to also return home with her baby.

“I was still there when his wife came to call me that he had slumped in the toilet. When we got there, people had surrounded him and were pouring palm oil into his mouth. He was vomiting the oil and a white substance. He kept saying, ‘Iya Hannah has killed me, she opened my mouth and poured drug inside.’

“Iya Hannah (Kwenume) denied Jimoh’s accusation, but he insisted she forced the poison down his throat.”
Another relative explained that Kwenume put the poison in a bottle of drink that the victim had brought home to share with her.

He said, “They usually shared their food and drinks together. After he finished eating at the canteen that day, he bought a bottle of drink and drank half. He took the remaining home to share with his wife.

“It was when she returned that she put the poison in the drink. She then forced it down his throat.”
Modupe’s husband said Jimoh died around 11.30pm on Friday.

He said the community elders took Kwenume aside to press her for information on where she got the poison. He said after some time, she confessed to the crime, adding that she collected the poison from her boyfriend’s brother who lived in the Sogunro, in Iwaya area.

He said, “Around 3am on Saturday, a policeman, together with some of our people went to get the man.” The two suspects were said to have been kept till dawn until a team of policemen from the Adekunle division arrived in six vans.

Some youths attempted to lynch both suspects, but for the intervention of the policemen.

The traditional ruler of the Egun community, Seriki Dito, appealed to NGOs to care for the couple’s child.

New York Escaped Prisoner David Sweat Shot, Captured After 'Nightmare' Manhunt

Convicted murderer David Sweat is hospitalized in critical condition after being shot and captured today, more than three weeks after he escaped from a maximum security prison in upstate New York.
New York Escaped Prisoner David Sweat Shot, Captured After 'Nightmare' Manhunt
"The nightmare is finally over," New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo told reporters this evening.
Sweat was caught in the area of Constable, New York, approximately 1.5 miles south of the Canadian border, officials said. Authorities believe Sweat was trying to make a final break toward the border, officials said.

At about 3:20 p.m., State Police Sgt. Jay Cook was alone on a routine patrol when he spotted Sweat on a road near Route 30 and ordered him to stop, a source familiar with the investigation said. When Sweat started to run, the sergeant opened fire, the source said.

Officials said Sweat was shot twice in the torso. Sweat was not armed, New York State Police Superintendent Joseph D'Amico said.

Sweat was in critical condition at Albany Medical Center, an official there said Sunday evening, after being transferred from Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, New York.

No law enforcement personnel were injured during the capture, an official briefed on the manhunt said.
Sweat has not yet been interviewed by investigators, D'Amico said.

Richard Matt

                                     Richard Matt
The man who escaped with Sweat, Richard Matt, was shot and killed by a border patrol SWAT team Friday afternoon in Elephant's Head, New York, just 50 miles away from the prison, after he was spotted by a law enforcement officer in the woods.

Matt and Sweat may have been using picnic-style pepper shakers to throw their scent off the dogs tracking them, D'Amico said today.

Authorities had found Sweat’s DNA on remnants of food about a mile from where Matt was shot and killed.
On Friday afternoon before Matt was killed, officials announced they had reason to believe Sweat and Matt were planning to head to the border in a final play for freedom. As a result, U.S. and Canadian law enforcement sent in reinforcements in an effort to both squeeze the escapees and keep them from potentially making it out of the country.

Today Cuomo called the escape "an extraordinary situation in many ways."
"If you were writing a movie plot, they would say this was overdone," he said.
"They were killers," Cuomo said. "Mr. Matt killed at least two people. Mr. Sweat killed a sheriff's deputy ... in a savage, savage way."

Matt was serving 25 years to life in prison after he kidnapped and beat a man to death in 1997. Sweat was serving a life sentence after he was convicted of killing a Broome County sheriff's deputy in 2002.
Matt and Sweat used power tools to cut through the back of their adjacent cells on June 6 at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York, about 20 miles south of the Canadian border, police said.

They broke through a brick wall, then cut into a steam pipe and slithered through it, finally emerging outside the prison walls through a manhole.

.
More than 1,000 corrections officers and law enforcement officers were involved in the search. Cuomo said today, "This was an unprecedented coming together of law enforcement on every level."

The investigation is ongoing to find out who was involved in the escape, Cuomo said. There is also an investigation into the systems at the prison.

Two employees at the prison, tailor shop employee Joyce Mitchell and corrections officer Gene Palmer, have been charged in connection with the escape.

"Anyone ... who was guilty of cooperating in this escape will be fully prosecuted," Cuomo said today

FRSC to prosecute drivers of crashed tankers

This was disclosed on Monday by the Corps Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi.

He added that the drivers will be made to face the wrath of the law after conclusion of investigations into the crashes that claimed several lives and burnt property valued at millions of naira, to serve as deterrent to others.

It will be recalled that fires resulting from tanker crashes in Iyana Ipaja and Idimu areas of Lagos and Onitsha led to the death of about 100 people earlier in the month within one week.

MUST READ: Check Out The Deadly Virus Other Than HIV Than Even Condom Can’t Protect You Against!!

Condoms have been hyped as master-protectors against sexually transmitted infections. However, health experts are warning that in as much as condoms significantly decrease transmission rates of the most life-threatening viruses such as HIV and hepatitis B and C, it’s not foolproof.

At a meeting of cancer specialists at the University of Nairobi last week, reproductive health expert, Nelly Mugo, said that even as we take protective measures using condoms against most STIs including HIV/Aids, the rubber sheaths cannot provide 100 per cent protection against the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). “Condoms offer 60 per cent of HPV thus the virus can spread through skin-to-skin contact with infected areas of the skin not covered by the condom such as the scrotum, anus, or vulva,” Dr Mugo said.  The 2014 Kenya Demographic and Health Survey, released last week, shows that male condoms are the most popular method among sexually active unmarried women. Unmarried men too seem to prefer condoms as the popular method to protect against STIs. But for a virus whose disease has no symptoms, the inefficacy of condoms allows for faster and wider spread, especially amongst those with multiple s*x partners.  The only 100 per cent effective way to prevent HPV transmission is abstinence from any s*xual contact, including oral, an*l, and vaginal s*x.

That ‘oops’ moment when women’s emergency pills backfire Since abstinence may not be a realistic option, Dr Mugo advises remaining monogamous while in a relationship, vaccination and screening for women. Women can also pass viruses without having any symptoms.  But the chance of females infecting men is estimated at less than five per cent of the rates of male-to-female transmission. There are more than 100 types of HPV and about 13 of these are cancer causing, with HPV types 16 and 18 causing approximately 70 per cent of all cervical cancers worldwide. Sadly, it’s physically difficult to tell whether your partner has the HPV virus unless they have private part warts, yet those who do not have visible signs can also spread the virus.

The other interesting aspect of this particular virus is that you do not need to have s*x for it to be passed on from one person to another. The virus is found in the flora of the man-hood, scrotum, vag1na, vulva, or anus of a person who has the HPV.

One can get infected through kissing or touching an infected s*x organs or through oral s3’x.  Since cervical cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths among adult women, in the developing world, and the second most common cancer among women worldwide, preventive measures include getting a pap smear for women and/or getting vaccinated.  Better still, it’s important that you be honest with your partner about your s3’x history. Immunizing all girls before becoming sexually active ideally aged nine to 13 years in order to lower the risk of HPV took off in Kenya under a pilot project in Kitui County in 2013, targeting 20,000 girls.
