I Only Rape Women When Am Bored: Rapist

For allegedly defrauding some women and later raping them, The police have arrested a suspected fraudster, Uchenna Ugwu.

 

The 26-year-old indigene of Enugu State, while being paraded at the Awka, Anambra State office of the Department of State Service, confessed to the crime, adding that he raped his victims to fight boredom.

It was learnt that Ugwu belonged to a syndicate, which specialized in luring ladies while pretending to be spiritualists, defrauding and raping them. The mode of operation of the group was to lure women into their trap and initially tricked them into disclosing their ATM PIN codes. If a victim refused to comply, the group would threaten to inflict a strange ailment on her based on a spiritual power they possess.

PUNCH Metro gathered that having succeeded, the gang members would take their victim to an arranged prayer house, where she would be compelled to take a oath never to disclose her experience to anyone.

The victim would then be raped on the pretext of making a charm for her.

This was how Ugwu and his group operated in Asaba, Delta State, and Obosi, in the Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State for a long time, before luck ran out on Ugwu.

He was arrested by the DSS based on petitions from some of the victims.

Ugwu, who said he stopped his education at primary six due to financial constraint, said he turned to crime to survive. 

His words:

“I joined this business to fight boredom because my former work was not going on fine and had shut down. My parents, who are still alive, are poor and because they cannot sponsor my education, I had to stop at primary six.”

Ugwu, while begging for forgiveness, said he is a changed man.

“I have suffered a lot in the hands of these people (DSS) and I promise not to indulge in this act again in my life; this is a lesson to every young man that doing evil is not the best,” he said.

A lady, who said she was a victim, told PUNCH Metro she believed she was hypnotized. 

She said:

“I believe he used a charm on me. He told me if anybody heard about what happened, I would not live to tell the story. To be sincere, I did not know what I was doing. I lost my sense of reasoning during the process until after he raped me.”

The Director of DSS, Alex Okeiyi, said the antics of the hoodlums were many, warning members of the public, especially females, to be cautious. 

Okeiyi said:

“It is noteworthy that since agencies in the state with the support of the government kept kidnappers and armed robbers in check, undesirable elements resorted to fraudulent practices including rape.”

Female Staff Sentenced To 266 Years Imprisonment for Stealing N8million In Ogun State .

A female staff of a popular eatery in Ogun State, Oluremi Olayinka, has bagged 266 years imprisonment for stealing her employers N8million.

“A female staff of a popular eatery, Oluremi Olayinka was today (yesterday) convicted and sentenced to 266 years imprisonment by Justice A.A Akinyemi of Ogun State High Court, Abeokuta, for stealing N8million belonging to her employer. The offense is contrary to sections 390(6)(7)(8), 467 and 468 respectively of the Criminal Code Law Cap 29, Laws of Ogun State. 

The court found the convict guilty on all the 34 count charges. She was sentenced to seven years on each of 30 counts and 14 years on the remaining four charges. The sentences are to run concurrently. Additionally, Justice Akinyemi ordered her to return the money she stole in restitution to her victim. 

Olayinka was arraigned before Justice Akinyemi on May 13, 2014 following a petition, alleging that she stole the sum of N8,000,000( Eight Million Naira ), which she received on behalf of her employer. When the convict was confronted with the allegation, she admitted the crime only for her to dramatically pleaded not guilty upon arraignment. 

In the course of trial, the EFCC presented four witnesses and tendered sixteen exhibits to prove the case against the convict.

My Wife Beats Me On Slight Provocation: Man Cries Out

A 55- year-old retired civil servant, Mr Emmanuel Osuya, has asked an Igando Customary Court, Lagos, to dissolve his 32-year-old marriage over alleged battering by his wife. Osuya told the court on Wednesday that his wife, Abigeal Osuya, 50, had turned him into a punching bag.

He said she beat him on any slight provocation. Osuya told the court that his wife always threatened his life through battery that he was afraid she may kill him one day. “My wife wants to kill me; she beat me almost every day with dangerous weapons. On three occasions, she broke my leg, preventing me from going out for days,’’ he said.

Osuya also accused his wife of turning his children against him, thereby making them to hate him. “Abigeal succeeded in creating enmity between me and my children, she tells them false and damaging stories about me in order to hate me. “So my children only care for her by sending her money and other items every month, without extending their love to me, they always ignore me as if I do not exist,’’ Osuya said.

The petitioner described his wife as a thief. He said that she always stole his money, rendering him financially broke. “I cannot keep money at home again because my wife will steal it. “ She acted as if she is not always satisfied with the money I give her in spite of the fact that my children always send her money every month,’’ the petitioner said.

Osuya said that Abigeal always starved him of food. He appealed to the court to dissolve the marriage, saying that “I am no longer interested in the marriage, I don’t want to die now, more so that I am out of love’’. Abigeal denied all the allegations. The mother of five said that she had never beaten her husband since the day she married him.

She said that it was her husband that always beat her. “It was my husband that always beat me on any slight provocation, I have never beaten him,” she said. The respondent also said that she had never stolen her husband’s money. Abigeal said that she used to cook for her husband wherever he gave her money for food.

She asked the court not to grant her husband’s prayer. “I am still in love with him,’’ she said. The Court President, Mr Hakeem Oyekan, adjourned the case till April 30 for further hearing.

Celebrity couple, Teebillz and Tiwa Savage, may have dropped the slightest hint that they are expecting twins. 

The former manager of Tiwa Savage shared a picture of two babies soccer jerseys of his favorite club in England.  Teebillz captioned the pictute, “Can’t Wait…” with an icon of a trophy.  When asked if he was going to be the father of twins, Teebillz did not respond.  But congratulatory messages have started pouring in for the couple with many wishing Tiwa Savage a safe and happy delivery.

Following anti-Xenophobia protests in Lagos and Abuja, the South African consulate in Lagos has shut down its embassy today. The consulate was shut after dozens of Nigerians carried placards on Tuesday and protested to the South African embassy in Abuja and also to MTN head office saying the attacks on black immigrants in South Africa must stop. 

The protesters, led by members of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, demanded an immediate end to the attacks and killings. They also threatened to attack South African nationals and businesses in Nigeria, if the attacks did not stop within 72 hours. This we learnt is one of the major reasons the embassy what shut down today.

RIP Da-grin: 10 Things You Didn’t Know About Him!

On this day, April 22, 2010, the unforgettable rapper, Dagrin died after he was involved in a ghastly motor accident.

 
The unfortunate incident which claimed his life happened in the early hours of April 14, 2010 after his car collided with a stationary trailer (heavy duty vehicle) in front of Alakara Police Station, off Agege Motor Road, Mushin, Lagos.

He was initially admitted at Tai Solarin Hospital, Mushin before being transferred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, (LUTH) Idi Araba, where doctors made serious efforts to save his life.

The late rapper was admitted at the Intensive Care Unit and operated upon, and later moved to the private wing of the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Here are 10 things no one will tell you about Dagrin:
1) The Rapper attended Meiran community primary school, Roseille Nursery and Primary School, Meiran Community high school and Egbado College.
2) Dagrin’s mother, Mrs. Olaonipekun, was the second of his father’s three wives.
3) He was 26 years old when he died in a car accident.
4) His father’s speech at the candle light ceremony was the rap he did to the song he was featured in by YQ, titled: ‘Efimile’….
5) His ill-fated car, Nissan Maxima was a 2008 model and carried the number plate, DAGRIN 03
6) His father’s nickname is Nelly. He has a music store located at Meiran bus stop, ‘House of Nelly sounds’ store where he used to stay before moving to Surulere.
7) The late rapper’s body was brought into the cemetery for burial in a black Ebony Escalade Cadillac ESV 2007 model.

This woman who can only be identified by her surname, Mahlalela, from Ebatsakatsini in South Africa was caught red handed by a "strong" child in the wee hours of the morning, in the kitchen, defecating in a bucket inside the house of the Word of God Church leader, Pastor Nsingwane.

The man of the cloth says the way the woman got into his house remains a mystery as the doors and windows in the house were all shut and locked. When asked by the police what she was doing in the house, Mahlalela confessed that she was at the house to perform evil deeds on the family but she was caught, changing her earlier statement in which she’d claimed to be part of a team which works for a certain master and that she fell off the rope she was holding on to when she and her 15 collegues were flying. 

“We use a rope to fly and I was sitting at the back when I fell off,” she said. 

The village of Ebatsakatsini is a place created for people evicted from any of the 54 villages around Nkomazi after being accused of witchcraft.

Tonto Dikeh Reveals How She Overcomes Anger And Being Suicidal.

Suicidal thoughts isn’t a good  thing and actress Tonto Dikeh is thankful that she has gotten over it.
She took to her instagram page this morning to talk about how she struggled with being suicidal, being angry all the time and how she overcame it all.

“Woke up reflecting on who I was and how far I have grown spiritually, womanly & physically. I had so much anger, So much venom, so much Hate to give. I didn't understand y neither did i give A hoot. I thot life Was all i Saw, Most of my anger Came from my Childhood (but i did have a great hood), Some came from Been Sick, Another came from been motherless,etc. Darlings i was broken,i was a walking disaster, A ticking time Bomb. I was on a suicide part on a regular sigh# Bottom line I Saved me, I got to realize that no1 cares about your Pain/hurt or life, people already have too much on their plate Or are more Angry about life than u I came to understand that without me the world wld still go on with nothing missed n might even be a better place,you might b missed for a day,week,years but i bet u u gonno b so forgotten wen its time* i came to understand that change i needed was inside me,We really don't maximize our God given Authority AS Gods creations#PRAYER#
