Former Ivorian First Lady, Simone Gbagbo Sentenced to 20 Years Imprisonment

Ivory Coast First Lady sentenced to 20 years imprisonment for post election violence.

Former Ivorian First Lady Mrs Simone Gbagbo has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment by an Ivorian court for organizing post election violence after her husband, Laurent Gbagbo lost out in the 2010 Presidential elections in Ivory Coast.

In a unanimous judgement today March 10th, the court said Mrs Gbagbo together with her husband's supporters, after rejecting the results from the elections that saw her husband's main rival, Alassane Ouattara declared winner of the election, carried out activities that undermined the state security which left over 3000 people dead.

Laurent Gbagbo's son from a previous marriage, Michel Gbagbo, was also sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for his role in the post election violence. Lawyers to Mrs Gbagbo say they would be appealing the judgement.

Fertility: Women’s guide to getting the timing right

Apart from being healthy, what might help you get pregnant? Sex! (Or intercourse at the right time, to be technical about it.)

If a woman has sex on any of these three days, she has a 27-33% chance of becoming pregnant.

The fertile window

We’re talking about the days in a woman’s menstrual cycle when pregnancy is possible. Pregnancy is technically only possible during the five days before ovulation through to the day of ovulation.
These six days are the ‘fertile window’ in a woman’s cycle, and reflect the lifespan of sperm (5 days) and the lifespan of the ovum (24 hours).

If a woman has sex six or more days before she ovulates, the chance she will get pregnant is virtually zero. If she has sex five days before she ovulates, her probability of pregnancy is about 10%.

The probability of pregnancy rises steadily until the two days before and including the day of ovulation.
At the end of the ‘fertile window’, the probability of pregnancy declines rapidly and by 12-24 hours after she ovulates, a woman is no longer able to get pregnant during that cycle.

For those women who are not aware of their ‘fertile window’ or when they ovulate, sexual intercourse is recommended every 2 to 3 days to help optimize their chance of conceiving.

The likelihood of actually becoming pregnant is dramatically increased if you have intercourse in the three days leading up to and including ovulation.

Goodluck......

Photo: Guys, Can Your Wife Dress Like This On Your Wedding Day?

Clearly the boobs aren’t really and she is really excited to be showing them off on her BIG day. The husband stands by, proudly, as his wife is the center of attention on this one. I get that she is proud of those big guns, but can’t she cover them up a tad bit more on her wedding day? However, she doesn’t look like she has a lot of class, so this is the best she could do.

They often say that there is someone out there for everyone. I, personally, never would have seen these two together, but love has no boundaries! That bride just creeps me out and he comes back from the war and finds this to marry? They definitely look happy, so props to them!

Denrele Edun explains why he dressed that way to the #AMVCA2015

The media personality showed up at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice awards in Lagos.

A lot of people felt that he picked the outfit in honour of his late best friend, Goldie, but certainly not. He simply went shopping and spotted the material on a shelf in Tiannah’s place, owned by Toyin Lawani. The moment he saw it, a thought came to his mind- the AMVCA statuette.

Denrenle wanted to be a real life AMVCA statuette for the night. “It is 24-carat gold and I just looked at it and I said to myslef, ‘why not strut out something that reeks of the statuette?’ and I wanted to look like a statuette tonight. I know I went a bit overboard with it,” he said.

However, making such decisions come with its consequences. He certainly got the stares he wanted but much to his own detriment, “I mean my back is all in the open and I am hot. I do not know how you ladies do it. My back is so sweaty that I had to tell everyone who wants to hug me to put their hand on my butt instead of my back. It is quite difficult to maneuver as well but this is what I’m going to rock the after party with.”

The dress was designed by Elegante by Tiannah Styling. She styled every other thing on him including the silver Caveler shoes which he admitted are hell to walk in, the golden statement hand pieces and neck pieces.

The hair as well. To make the look complete, Denrenle settled for a more different updo than he is usually known for- braids. The hair, also done by Tiannah Styling, is all shades of white, dirty grey and blonde all wrapped up in a bun. And it was the most interesting thing we’d ever seen.
