Ebola Is A Global Problem, Patrick Sawyer’s Wife Speaks

 

Ebola virus victim, Patrick Sawyer’s wife, Decontee has spoken after her husband died of the virus in Nigeria last week. She says it’s a battle the whole world should fight and only hopes and pray no other family will go through what she is presently going through.

Apparently, Mr Sawyer had lived about a decade in Minnesota with his wife and three children before moving back to Liberia in 2008. His wife who spoke in the US where she lives with their three daughters disclosed Mr Patrick is also a US citizen and it breaks her heart that their daughters would never get to meet him again.

“I don’t want all of this to be for nothing. I have three girls who will never get to know their father. People think Ebola is a problem on the other side of the world, but that is not entirely correct. It’s a global problem because Patrick could’ve easily come home with Ebola. Easy. Easy. It’s close, it’s at our front door. It knocked down my front door,” she said.

“I don’t want any more families going through what I’m going through. So I pray, and then I’m ready to fight,” she told KSTP.

Controversial actress and singer,  Tonto Dikeh, who is known for her outwardness on social media platforms has done it again.

The 29 year old actress has shared a photo of herself and her maid in the same attire looking ravishing. Ebola Scare: Jim Iyke Flees Liberia

There is definitely nothing to be ashamed of as the deadly virus outbreak has already claimed lives of 672 people in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone since February, according to WHO.

Yesterday sad news came from Sierra Leone, saying the country top doctor who got infected with the Ebola virus while attending his patients died himself days after having tested positive.

Meanwhile Nigerians also got alerted last week after the man from Liberia admitted to Lagos hospital with Ebola symptoms passed away.

Jim Iyke, a top Nollywood actor, announced few hours ago that he is leaving Liberia, where it is reported that the disease is spreading. According to him, he is scare of the disease and would not risk contracting it because of the business he went there for.

‘Monrovia (Liberian capital), unfinished business; leaving tonight. Not ashamed to admit this thing (Ebola) scares the Jesus out of me,’ he posted on his instagram page.

Lagos Hospital Where Ebola Victim Died Shut Down

The Lagos State government has shut down and quarantined First Consultants Hospital in Obalende where a Liberian, Mr Patrick Sawyer with Ebola virus died last week in Lagos.

“We have shut the hospital to enable us to properly quarantine the environment. Some of the hospital staff who were in close contact with the victim have been isolated. The hospital will be shut for a week and all staff monitored to ensure the virus has not spread,” the Lagos State Health Commissioner Jide Idris said.

Mr Idris also said the Nigerian Ambassador to Liberia, Chigozie Obi Nnadozie, three staff of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, and 55 others who had contact with the victim are closely been monitored.

El Rufai's son Hamza El Rufai  was driving a black Lexus car  when he ran into a stationery blue colored Volkswagen Saloon car around the Ningi Barrack along A.Y.A - Kubwa yesterday morning.

The ghastly accident occurred very early in the morning.

Two persons were involved in the crash but only Hamza died.

The former minister, broke the sad news in a statement posted on his Facebook page, saying “From Allah, we came and to Him we shall return. Please join our family in praying for the repose of the soul of my son, Hamza El-Rufai who died this morning in a motor accident in Abuja”.

Until his death, Hamza was a student of Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai and was billed to graduate in 2015.
