Mourinho is jealous of my CV, jokes Van Gaal

Mourinho is jealous of my CV, jokes Van Gaal

The Dutchman revealed his former assistant was among the first people to contact him on his appointment at Old Trafford and does not expect problems with Sir Alex Ferguson
Louis van Gaal has revealed that Jose Mourinho texted him on his appointment as Manchester United manager to reveal his jealousy at the list of clubs the Dutchman has managed.

Van Gaal's imminent move to Old Trafford will provide the latest chapter in an illustrious career which also includes spells in charge of Ajax, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Mourinho was interviewed by the Catalan giants prior to the appointment of Pep Guardiola in the summer of 2008, and was widely reported to be keen on succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson as United boss before David Moyes was chosen.

And speaking to Dutch television channel RTL, Van Gaal claimed that Mourinho - his former assistant and long-time friend - had been in touch to reveal his awe at his mentor's CV.

"Jose Mourinho was one of the first people that texted me when I got the job. He said that he was jealous of my resume of clubs," Van Gaal said with a smirk.

The 62-year-old also insisted he does not foresee any problems with Ferguson, who remains on the board of directors at United and previously endorsed Ryan Giggs for the manager's job.

"I will probably have a drink with Sir Alex Ferguson, but we've done that a couple of times before," he added. "We get along quite fine. "I don't think his pressure will be a big problem. I put a lot of pressure on myself. We need to get United back to the summit, as soon as possible.

"Maybe people will think that this will happen in the first seeason, but we'll have to see. In the end, there's only one team that becomes champions."

Photo: A Black Bird Turned into this Old Woman in Ajegunle!

This elderly woman pictured above escaped lynching on Wednesday after being accused of being a bird and witch in the Ajegunle area of Lagos State.

According to residents of Ojo Road, where the purported transformation took place, the woman was a black bird before suddenly turning into a human being. Hundreds of residents were said to have gathered around the woman to lynch her.

An eyewitness, Chike, said he was sitting in front of a compound with his girlfriend when they saw three black birds flying. He said it seemed as if the birds were involved in a fight and as he was watching, suddenly, one of the birds fell into a moving van belonging to the Eko Electricity Distribution Company while the other two flew away.
He said:

“The bird suddenly turned to an old woman of about 80. People were shocked as they saw the woman rolling on the road and blood gushing out from her forehead. When the crowd was interrogating her, she said she was a witch and that she came from Ibadan for a meeting in Lagos but as they were returning home they missed their way and wasted so much time hovering in the area till daybreak. The woman claimed she fell because she was tired of flying.”
It was learnt that as the woman was about to be lynched, the traditional ruler of Layeni Community, Baale Rafiu Olayeni, arrived the scene and pleaded with the angry people not to take laws into their hands.

Olayeni told Punch correspondent that he called the Divisional Police Officer of Layeni Police Division, CSP Chijioke Ndu, and he drafted anti- robbery policemen to the scene, rescued the woman and took her to the station. Hundreds of spectators were said to have followed them to the station.
The traditional leader said:
“People told me the woman fell down as a bird but I did not believe them. I had to rescue the old woman before the mob lynches her as they claimed she was a witch. Sometimes the reasoning of old people could be compared to that of a small child because of the effects of old age.”
At the station, however, the police found it difficult to control the mammoth crowd that had come to see the alleged witch. It was learnt that the DPO had to call for reinforcement from Ajegunle and Amukoko divisions before he could handle the crowd as some people were bent on lynching the woman.

The policemen were said to have fired tear gas at the crowd and dispersed them from the station.
It was learnt that the woman was subsequently transferred to the Area B Command in Apapa for further investigation. It was gathered that this was the seventh lynching the police had prevented this month.
Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, could not be reached for comment.

Shocking--- Father Beats Daughter To Death For Copying Classmate’s Homework

examination-malpractice

A father in China is said to have killed his daughter after she copied homework from a classmate.
According to the official Xinhua news agency, the man “ordered the girl to kneel down, tied her hands and beat her”. The 11-year-old girl stopped breathing while the assault was going on and the father took her to the hospital but it was too late as she died the next day.
According to reports:

Doctors at the hospital in Hangzhou found bruises and injuries on the girl’s neck and back and signs she had been choked for as long as five minutes, the Xiandai Jinbao said. The incident is the latest in a series of child abuse incidents in China that have drawn widespread outrage.Earlier this month, graphic photos of a 10-year-old boy in Guangdong province who had allegedly been beaten by his step-mother went viral on Chinese social media, with many users calling for stricter laws against child abuse. Last year, a six-year-old boy in the northern Chinese province of Shanxi was found near his home covered in blood and with his eyes removed. The boy’s aunt, who was a suspect in the case, killed herself days later. Chinese parents often put heavy pressure on their children over their schooling, and a study last week blamed the country’s exam-driven education system — where progress depends on key tests — for the vast majority of pupil suicides. In January last year, a student in Inner Mongolia jumped from the top of a building after learning that his test scores had dropped, the China Daily said. Earlier this month a 13-year-old boy in Jiangsu province hanged himself after he failed to finish his homework, the newspaper added.

Facebook Plays Matchmaker With 'Ask' Button For Relationship Status

Facebook has introduced a new feature called the "ASK button" which will allow your Facebook friends toy ask you about your relationship status if you have not filled it out. So if you are a single man or woman and you see a face you're interested in, and you can't tell if they're single too because their relationship status is blank, you can just click the ask button and send them a message.

I remember back in those days without the Ask button, if we had questions about a Facebook friend's relationship status, we would click through all of their photos and start guessing games on any picture the guy appears with just one lady, or the lady who appears the most in his albums.

The ASK button appears to the right of a person's relationship status on their Facebook profile, but only if they haven't indicated a relationship status. If you click it, a small window opens with a text field for you to send them a message.

Do you see yourself using the Ask button?

"If I wasn't a singer, I'll be a housewife" -Tiwa Savage

Tiwa Savage and Davido are currently answering questions from their fans on twitter. The question and answer session is put together by MTV as a promo for their MAMAs nomination. And when a fan asked Tiwa what she'll be doing if she wasn't a singer, she promptly answered - "I would be a housewife."

Well, I'm not aware that being a housewife can be termed a profession, now that is no disrespect to the stay-at-home-mums (I believe they rock) but honestly, I think the 21st century woman need to go beyond that. Seriously, that phrase- 'Housewife' hurts my ears, and to my mind, it almost even sounds derogatory. But its all good Tiwa, thank God you are singer, at least now all of that amazing talent is blessing millions and not wasted in the kitchen.

Before now, Johnson’s figure was the talk of the town and envy of many. She was known for provocative and revealing outfits, with her robust breasts especially threatening to jump out of dresses. But all that appears to be in the past because she is “now a new creature.”
Mercy told Punch:
