Immigration Tragedy: Families Demand Release Of Corpses
Parents and family members of some applicants, who lost their lives during the Nigerian Immigration Service recruitment test on Saturday in Abuja, have demanded for the release of the bodies of their loved ones for burial.
The family members, who gathered at the National Hospital on Sunday, told the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, who came to sympathise with them, that they wanted the bodies to be released for burial immediately.
Seven applicants, including a pregnant woman, died in a stampede during the exercise at the National Stadium, venue of the recruitment test.
Speaking with journalists, one of the bereaved, Mohammed Hakeem, said he was informed about the death of his sister, Miss Oyiza Yusuf, a mother of one, adding that it was disheartening that the lady was defrauded of N150,000 in a job scam last year.
Hakeem said, “It is sad that people were made to suffer and die for jobs that have probably been allocated to the children of highly placed individuals. The government should be sensitive to the plight of the ordinary Nigerians.”
Moro, who consoled the grieving families, pleaded for understanding of Nigerians “so that together we can salvage the situation and lay a foundation that will forestall any future occurrence of this type of tragedy.”
The minister explained that the tragedy was caused by unruly applicants. Those that did not apply for the exercise also turned up.
He explained that the stadium was chosen for the recruitment exercise on account of the physical exercise that applicants were to go through, stressing that this was a vital component of enlistment requirement into the NIS. Moro said, “Right from the beginning, I gave you assurance that this exercise was going to be transparent but it was going to be cost-effective. That we are going to avoid (the mistake of the past), where all persons converge in Abuja. And so yesterday, we tried to decentralise.
“We set up 37 recruitment centres across the country, including the Federal Capital Territory, and posted senior officers of the ministry, including Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the police across the country. All numbers were adequate to control the situation based on the received applications.”
Moro clarified that 526,650 persons applied for the exercise nationwide, adding that arrangement was made for only the number.
Sixteen persons were confirmed to have died during the nationwide job recruitment test organised by the NIS on Saturday.
The minister gave the confirmation during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Abuja.
Moro said that in Edo State, one female applicant collapsed at the venue of the exercise and was rushed to the hospital, where she died.
He said that in Jigawa State, a male applicant died in an accident on his way to the venue of the exercise, while in Niger, two persons died as a result of the stampede.
He said that seven applicants in the FCT died also from the stampede, while in Rivers five persons died.
NAN reported that some applicants sustained injuries during the exercise, while some have being treated and discharged just as others were receiving treatment in various hospitals across the country.
As of the time of filing this report, the bodies of some of the participants had been identified by their families at the National Hospital in Abuja.
Mr. Mohammed Yekini, brother to one of the deceased, told NAN that he was still waiting for the authorities of the hospital to release the corpse.
Yekini, who is also a lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic in Nassarawa State and hails from Okene in Kogi State, lamented the inhuman treatment participants were subjected to during the exercise.
He called on government to show more consideration to the plight of unemployed youths in the country. (Punch)

PHOTOS: Couple Arrested After They Got Married Completely Nude While Crowd Watched
Wonders they say will never seize to end as a
couple were arrested on their wedding day as they tie the knot after
stripping naked in the street to campaign against San Francisco's ban on
public nudity. The bride Gypsy Taub, 44, and groom Jamyz Smith, 20 were arrested within a few minutes after they exchanged vows.
According to Taub: 'This is a protest against the nudity ban as much as it is a wedding. I know that the people of San Francisco are behind me.'
The service was reportedly conducted by nudity activist George Davis, an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church.
After a short reading from his 'holy book,' entitled 'Erotic Art,' Davis said: 'I pronounce you man and wife,' adding: 'Kiss and conjugate.'
'People celebrate in whatever way they feel comfortable,' one of the well-wishers of the couple said, adding: 'It's a wonderful thing that they are doing. Nobody is being hurt. Nobody is being damaged.'
Taub was later issued a citation and released provided that she put the gown back on.Woder

22-Year-Old Man Resurrects 7 Days After Burial, Reveals His Mission
Fear and panic gripped residents of Luk, a Togolese farming
community near Bunkpurugu in Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo District of the Northern
Region, after a man resurrected seven days after his burial.
Konkper-Laar Samuel, 22 was said to have died after a brief illness and was buried at the family mausoleum with a stone and a piece of stick placed on his grave as a symbol of separation of the bond between the living and the dead.
According to their tradition, the seventh day was supposed to be marked with a family gathering where issues regarding the deceased’s property and debts, if he had incurred any whilst alive, would be resolved.
As members of the family gathered at about 8 o’clock that morning, they were shocked to find the deceased entering the house with the very clothes he was buried with. There was pandemonium as there was a shout of ‘Run for your life’ and everyone was running helter-skelter.
Some ran to the grave side to see if it had been opened but were more amazed when they found it intact.
As news of his 'resurrection', spread, residents started fleeing the town, as they were scared of living in the same town with a ghost.
The family sent for the chief priest who questioned the boy on why he came back. The deceased reportedly said he was sent back by his grandfathers because his time was up on earth.
When journalists visited the town to confirm the story, they were shown the grave and the 'ghost' but were not allowed to take pictures.
Relations by the graveside. INSET: the said 'ghost' in Togolese Gendarmerie grips
However, as the journalist were about to leave, Togolese gendarmerie (Togo police) stormed the house, handcuffed the “ghost” and pushed him into a waiting vehicle and whisked him away. (Naij)

I'm Frustrated! My Wife Doesn't Satisfy Me Sexually & I Don't Want To Cheat On Her
This is a story of a man who's wife is frustrating him sexually and he needs honest advice on what to do.
I am 29 years old and I got married to the love of my life who is 3 years younger than I am. We have a 2 year old cute son and my wife is pregnant with the second.
My problem is that I have a mighty sex urge and libido but my wife is my complete opposite in bed. We dated for 4 years before we married and she became pregnant immediately I disvirgined her.
Throughout our courtship, we never had sex but we use to enjoy hours of kissing and romance. I never thought sex was going to be an issue in our relationship till we married and she gave birth.
Each time we make love she either complains that my penis is too big and painful or that I take time to cum. I have tried to increase her interest in sex through every means I know of, I use porn to make her horny but whenever we eventually have sex I feel depressed and sad because it won't be any fun.
Sometimes in the process of romance, she'll cum over and over again then she'll just sleep off leaving me awake all night. I have discussed the issue with her time without number but she keeps promising to get better.
I'm afraid that this is pushing me into cheating which I swore to myself never to do. I need your matured advice please before I go crazy.
What should I do?

BREAKING: Jonathan Summons Interior Minister, Immigration Service CG Over Recruitment Disaster
President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday summoned the Minister
of Interior, Abba Moro, as well as the Comptroller General of the
Nigerian Immigration Service, David Parradang.
The emergency summon comes two days after at least 18 people died nationwide at different venues of a recruitment test conducted by the immigration service on Saturday.
The poorly organised test for tens of thousands of job seekers across Nigeria led to a stampede and sporadic shooting by security operatives at different venues; leading to the deaths.
The immigration service is supervised by the interior ministry with many Nigerians calling for the sack of both men.
Mr. Moro, who was at the Presidential Villa alongside Mr. Parradang, spent over one hour in the office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Oladehinde Arogbofa.
Both men were then led to see the President. After about thirty minutes, the two men emerged from the President’s office with the Chief Of Staff. They all refused to speak to reporters. (Naij)

T.B Joshua Directs Authorities Where To Search For Missing Malaysian Plane, Reveals Cause Of Mishap
The General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T.B Joshua has released yet another prophecy concerning the missing Malaysian Airlines.
According to the man of God, those searching for the missing plane should search between the Indonesia and the Indian Ocean as its particles were scattered all over.
He revealed this while prophesying to his church members as well as viewers all over the world on Saturday, 15th March 2014.
T.B. Joshua said there were some strange people who were not supposed to be on the plane who boarded the plane, adding that the pilot lost signal and his bearings which caused the plane to be diverted.
The prophet further revealed that the particles of the plane will be discovered very soon.
"The whole thing has come to an end; they will discover the plane; particles, and everything will end any moment from now. This coming week, we are not going to talk about it again and the families will know their fate," he said.

Female pastor escaped NAKED from kidnappers who raped her
Police in Lagos have arrested members of a gang of kidnappers who are said to have repeatedly raped a female pastor. The victim was forced to run out of the kidnappers’ den naked after being sexually assaulted by her abductors who allegedly took turns to violate her. The woman’s screams alerted residents of the area where she was being held and she was taken to a nearby police station. Eagle Online reports: She was later taken to the Area N Police Command, Ijede in Ikorodu. It was further gathered that after the gang kidnapped the woman, they kept her permanently naked, raping her whenever they felt the urge. On the fateful day she escaped, the members of the gang had gone for another operation, leaving her in the care of one of the kidnappers. Aside from the woman pastor, a Briton was also held. The woman had bolted out of the camp after the kidnapper guarding her attempted to rape her again. She was said to have jumped up and no longer caring about the gun pointed her, pushed away her would be rapist. The man’s head slammed against the wall, while the woman ran out, screaming like the hounds of hell was after her. As soon as the kidnapper realised that the woman had bolted, he took off too, unmindful of the Briton under his watch. Residents gathered round the woman, gave her clothes and took her and the Briton to the Area N Police Command. According to the residents, they didn’t know that the uncompleted building in their neighbourhood was a kidnappers’ camp. Since the rescue of the female pastor, police had arrested about two of the kidnappers, while others, including their leader, identified as Sam, are still at large. A police source revealed that since the arrest of some of the kidnappers, the female pastor has become a regular face at the office of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja, preaching to her abductors and rapists to give their lives to Jesus Christ. She tells them that she had already forgiven them. (akposjokesandriddles.blogspot.com)
