Designer André Leon Talley believes Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and North West are deserving of the title of "First Fashion Family."
"The three were a force of iconic moments as they pivoted around Paris,
the mecca of fashion during the last fashion shows this month," Talley wrote late last week. "The Nick and Nora Charles of our time, the Liz and Dick Burton, without the brawls."
Talley - a contributing editor to Vogue magazine and former America’s
Next Top Model panelists - also quoted several members of the fashion
community who have nothing but love for Kim, Kanye and North.
"Kanye knows quality," says Ralph Lauren said, while supermodel Kate Moss says simply that "Kim is one of my favorite people."
Talley concluded his piece by giving props to Kim and Kanye for donning
Givenchy, Margiela, Dries Von Noten or Chanel… even when experiencing
“a frenzy of paparazzi moments” in the airport or on the sidewalk.
"Thank you so much for this @OfficialALT !!!!" Kim tweeted with a link to the article Sunday afternoon.
In a recent interview with the Australian version of The Today Show,
Kardashian actually credited her husband as having more fashion taste
that she possesses.
"I think he definitely influences me more. I just love the way he
dresses," she said. "He is a great designer and he gives me amazing
style tips."
But not everyone fully agrees. Kimye did get booed during Paris Fashion Week, remember. That was awesome.
