Senator Yerima divorces 17year old Egyptian wife, marries another 15yr old
Three years after marrying a 14 year old Egyptian girl named Marian,
which was widely protested in Nigeria, former Zamfara state governor and
serving senator of the federal republic of Nigeria, Sen. Ahmed Yerima,
has reportedly divorced her to marry a new wife. According to reports,
Sen.Yerima and four men, said to be members of the Zamfara State House
of Assembly were in Egypt a few weeks ago for the wedding fathia of a
new bride said to be 15 years old.
Marian who is now 17 and a mother of one, is believed to be the daughter of the former governor's driver whenever he visits Egypt. The reason he divorced her is to enable him take a new wife as he's not allowed more than four wives.
The Senator is alleged to have married and divorced a few women in the last few years but has never changed his first three wives, only the fourth ones.
Sen. Ahmed Yerima this year was strongly against the deletion of the section of the 1999 constitution which pegged the official marriage age in Nigeria as 18 year, saying it was anti-Islam.

Dangote Sugar To Employ 150,000 Workers.
Dangote Sugar has said it will create 150,000 jobs at its new sugar
plantations located in Sokoto, Kebbi, Jigawa, Taraba, Kogi and Kwara
states.
The newly appointed Group Managing Director, Dangote Sugar Group, Mr. Graham Clark, was on Sunday quoted as saying this, adding that the company would continue to strengthen output, sales and distribution through a large distribution network.
He said there were plans to begin production in Savannah Sugar, one of the Dangote Sugar’s subsidiaries, with the aim of increasing its sugar refineries to five across the country.
He said Dangote Sugar embarked on the expansion as part of its efforts to boost the integrated sugar cane farming and sugar milling through increased plant capacity from 50,00 tonnes per annum to 200,000 tonnes.
According to Clark, the remodelling of the integrated sugar production will enhance the company’s value-chain process, as by-products will be extracted from sugar cane for production.
He said, “Unlike before, where we import raw sugar for refining, the economic model of the sugar plantation is profitable when examined from the value-chain process. We will change the whole process and seek partnerships with communities and state governments in order to aid the land acquisition for sugar plantation.
“The company is actively pursuing a backward integration master plan with a target of producing a total of 1.5 million tonnes of sugar per annum locally from its subsidiaries. We will also continue to strengthen output, sales and distribution through a large distribution network.”

My removal will make Jonathan vulnerable –Tukur
The National Chairman of the ruling
Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, has said that those
calling for his removal are plotting to make President Goodluck Jonathan
vulnerable.
He said this based on the increased clamour by the PDP governors for his removal from office.
The party chairman wondered whether loyalty had become a crime in the nation’s polity.
Tukur, whose removal is considered one
of the major conditions needed to restore peace to the troubled party,
is also fighting to keep his job.
As part of their agitation for his
removal, the governors met in Abuja, on Friday night, where they
resolved that Tukur should resign in order to stem the tide of
defections from the party.
The party has lost five of its governors
to the major opposition party, the All Progressives Congress, a
situation which is seen by many as a bad omen for the ruling party which
is desirous of retaining power in 2015.
However, Tukur, who spoke with
journalists through his Special Adviser on Political Affairs, Senator
Umar Gada, in Abuja on Sunday, said some of the governors were not loyal
to the President.
He said while he was aware that majority
of them could be loyal to the President and the party, he, however,
said there could be some whose loyalty were to be in doubt.
Gada said, “As far as the national
chairman, Tukur, is concerned, the PDP governors are loyal to the
President and the national organ of the party, except for a few (of
them) with hidden agenda who are hatching the plot to remove Tukur
because of their personal presidential ambition.
“These few governors that are clamouring
for the removal of Tukur are doing so with a hidden agenda to get back
at President Jonathan.”
