Equatorial Guinea’s Vice President, Teddy Nguema, has ordered surveillance cameras in state offices following the disgraceful scandal involving 400 alleged sex tapes.

This comes after the country's ANIF Director Baltasar Ebang Engonga was arrested and suspended after sex tapes of his encounters with several women including wives of prominent officials' were found.

The tapes depict Ebang in encounters with different women, some of whom are reported to be married, including the wife of the Presidential security head and his own brother’s spouse.

The videos, reportedly recorded in various locations including his office, hotels, and public spaces were found during a corruption probe.

In response to the scandal, Equatorial Guinea's Vice President, Teddy Nguema, has announced a comprehensive plan to install surveillance cameras in state offices.

Tinubu is fully in charge - Presidential aide, Sunday Dare, dismisses rumors of cabal in Aso Rock

The Special Adviser to the President on Communication and Orientation, Sunday Dare, has dismissed claims of a “cabal” operating within the presidency, insisting that President Bola Tinubu remains fully in control of the nation’s governance.

While speaking on Channels TV, Dare said the term “cabal” has been misapplied to individuals who, due to their key roles, hold regular briefings with the president. According to him, these persons are simply essential advisors who provide critical information for decision-making.

“I think we’ve become so comfortable with the idea of the cabal, and you must understand how the idea of the Cabal, the people they call the Cabal, are the people that are holding the key sectors of the economy. These are people who are advisors, who must advise the President on trends, who must put critical data in front of him, and they have access to him.

The Minister of Finance, for instance, sees him (Tinubu) on a constant basis to show him all the indicators so that they can see it, they must have constant meetings.”he said

Dare emphasized that the president is fully in charge and has demonstrated this repeatedly, citing Tinubu’s decision to cancel the Central Bank’s cybersecurity tax as a clear example.

“The President is 100 per cent in charge and he has always been from day one, and he has shown it when the CBN cybersecurity tax came up, the president canceled it because he dealt with what the facts are.”

Diddy celebrates his 55th birthday behind bars with low-key prison meal

Music mogul, Diddy will be celebrating his 55th birthday today at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center with a low-key meal.

The rapper, who is awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges, is also due in federal court later on Monday.

The New York Post reports that Diddy will be given a choice of cheese pizza, salad or pasta today for lunch.

That's what's on the menu at the prison, where feds seized drugs and phones last week as part of a 'multi-agency' operation that they insist is not tied to his high profile case.

He will also have the option of a 'breakfast cake', and potatoes, but he won't be given coffee until the weekend, per the prison's menu rules.

Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, insists he is wrongfully accused.  He maintains that the 'freak off' parties that prosecutors want to send him down for were all consensual.

Dozens of women have come forward to insist that was not the case.

He has also been accused by grand jury witnesses of abusing young stars, though no such claims have been substantiated.

Last week, witness Courtney Burgess went public with his claims that he had seen tapes of Diddy 'victimizing' at least eight celebrities.

He claims the videos came from a flash drive owned by Diddy's ex, the late Kim Porter, who'd obtained the footage from hidden cameras in the rapper's home.

Burgess appeared on NewsNation's Banfield to testify about what he'd seen.

It remains unclear if the grand jury has seen the footage, or just heard about it.

The rapper's family, including his sons, are steadfast in their support of him.

They insist he is being targeted by biased prosecutors.

Fire guts Ajah market in Lagos

Goods worth millions of Naira have been destroyed after a fire broke out on Sunday evening, Nov. 3, at Ajah Market, near Alesh Bus Stop in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

The fire reportedly started around 9 pm and ravaged several shops and stores containing combustible materials.

According to Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the agency, in collaboration with the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, acted swiftly to contain the fire.

However, the cause of the blaze remains unknown at this time.

There were no casualties or injuries because traders were not present due to the market being closed on Sunday.

“The LASEMA Response Team, along with the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, managed to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring buildings,” Oke-Osanyintolu reported. “Efforts are ongoing to completely extinguish the fire and salvage remaining valuables.”

The minor who is barely 15 years old was brought into courtroom alongside 75 other minors, all looking malnourished and unkempt. The yet-to-be-identified minor slumped as the charge was about to be read to them by trial Justice Obiora Egwuatu.

The incident forced the judge to abruptly halt the proceedings and return to his chambers.

With the help of lawyers in the courtroom, the frail looking boy was rushed to the court’s clinic as his co-defendants, who are mostly minors, weep uncontrollably.

One of the counsel representing the defendants, Deji Adeyanju had earlier disclosed that the minors had spent over 80 days in police custody.

He revealed that the 76 defendants, who will be answering to a 10-count charge marked: FCH/ABJ/CS/503/2024, are among many others that were arrested in Abuja and Kano state during the protest that held in August this year.

Specifically, police, in the charge that was signed by its team of lawyers led by DCP Simon Lough, SAN, alleged that the defendants, alongside others that are currently at large, had between July 31 and August 4, at Abuja and Kano metropolis, while acting in concert and with intent to destabilize Nigeria, conspired together to commit felony.

It alleged that the defendants committed treason, an offence contrary to Section 96 of the Penal Code and punishable under section 97 of the Code.
