BREAKING NEWS: Buhari sacks National Security Adviser and other service chiefs

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday sacked the National Security Adviser, NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki, (retd) and other service chiefs.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, said this while speaking to State House correspondents on Monday.

Adesina, who did not give more details, added that the Presidency was preparing a statement on the sacking, which would be made available to newsmen.

Their replacements had neither been named as of the time of writing this report.

There has been an escalation in terror attacks by Boko Haram militants in the country in recent times, leading to the killing of more than 500 people in less than four weeks.

Fans slam Freeze for calling estranged wife “an adulteress”

Freeze has decided to give the world a hint on why his 13 years marriage is about to officially pack up. The couple have not been living together for about a year now, Freeze wrote that he had every reason to praise the almighty for leaving his wife.

However, the OAP fans did not agree with his testimony and decided to put him straight on the line, expressing their disappointment.

Meanwhile, Freeze and his wife are still battling in court over their divorce.

The father of three wrote that he had every reason to praise the almighty for leaving his wife.

Breaking News: EFCC arraigns Oronsaye over N1.9bn fraud

ABUJA-The former Head of Service of the Federation, Mr. Stephen Oronsaye has been docked before Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the Federal High Court in Abuja ‎over his alleged complicity in money laundering and contract scam amount in to about N1.9billion.

Oronsaye is currently entering his plea to a 24-count criminal charge that was preferred against him by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

He was docked ‎alongside his alleged accomplice, Mr. Osarenkhoe Afe and a company that was allegedly used to perpetuate the fraud, Frederick Hamilton and Global Services Limited.

‎The anti-graft agency said that it is still tracking the former Deputy Director of Finance in the office of the Head of Service, Mr. Abdulrasheed Maina,(now at large), who it said was also involved in fraud.

Oronsaya was alleged to have used some companies and diverted huge sums of money from the federal government coffers under the guise of using same to pay for biometric data capture project.

He was said to have claimed that some of the funds were meant for the procurement of computer accessories.

The fraud was allegedly committed between March and May 2010 while the first accused person was still in charge as the head of service of the federation.

The EFCC in the charge marked FHC/CR/297/15, maintained that ‎accused persons committed offences contrary and punishable under section 14 (1)(b) of the Money Laundering Prohibition Act, 2004.

Mourinho Blocks Mikel Moves To Leave Stamford Bridge

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has refused to sanction the sale of midfielder John Mikel Obi, delivering a blow to United Arab Emirates suitors Al Ain and Al Wahda. The Nigeria international, who started only six league games last season, wants to leave Stamford Bridge after failing to hold down a regular starting place.

The 28-year-old, who has two years left on his contract, has been told he remains part of manager Mourinho’s future plans. “There’s absolutely no truth to reports linking Mikel with a move to Turkey or any Chinese club for that matter,” a source close to the talks said. “Only two clubs from the UAE showed strong interest last month but they could not meet his club’s valuation.

“Mikel has a contract with Chelsea until 2017, as things stand he will not be leaving the club this transfer window as speculated.

”Mikel who moved to Chelsea in the summer of 2006 has increasingly become a fringe member of the squad due to the form of Nemanja Matic. With the emergence of highly-rated midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the Super Eagle has fallen down the pecking order at the club ahead of the 2015/16 season. Fenerbahce are reportedly interested in signing Mikel but Chelsea will only listen to a US $16.8 million offer.

The Turkish club’s president Aziz Yildirim has told the local media they cannot meet Chelsea’s valuation. “Chelsea want 15 million euros and Mikel asked for €5 million a season over four years. We are talking 35 million euros,” Yildirim told reporters at their Topuk Yayla training ground.

Gov. Wike Swears In 22 Caretaker LG Chairmen

After a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rive State sacked the 22 local government chairmen elected through the controversial last-minute elections organised by former governor Rotimi Amaechi, Governor Nyesom Wike on Wednesday, July 9, 2015 swore in new caretaker chairmen for the local government.

While swearing the caretaker committees in, Governor Wike said he did not sack the evicted council chairmen but waited for the courts to do so because he wanted to follow due process.

He further said that the caretaker chairmen were inaugurated so that there would be no vacuum in government, urging the new officials to work effectively or be sacked.

Tragedy: 19-year-old Student Stabbed To Death In Kaduna School Hostel

A 19-year-old student of Government Technical College, Malali in Kaduna north local government area of Kaduna state, Mohammed Sani was yesterday found dead on his bed in the school hostel with machete cuts on his body.  

According to the father of the deceased, Alhaji Harisu Sani, he received a call from the Principal of the School around 4:30 am. He asked if he was the father of Mohammed Sani and upon confirmation, he was instructed to rush down to the school because his son is dead.

“Based on this, I dashed to the school thinking my son passed away in his sleep but when I arrived at his hostel, I saw him in the pool of his own blood, stabbed on the right side of his chest with a sharp object which I suspected to be a knife.’’

“What baffled me most was that there are about 200 students in the hostel and I wonder why none of them saw the killer or killers and did not raise any alarm. I believe that my son was killed by somebody within. The school authority and the state government should tell me what happened to my son because as a boarding student, he was in their custody” he said.

Mallam Sani, who resides at Michika road, Tudun Nupawa in Kaduna south Local Government, told newsmen that he is going to use all available legal means to ensure that justice is done on behalf of his son.

Speaking in the same vein, the Uncle of Late Mohammed Sani, Mallam Mohammed Kabir said from available information to the family, this is the third case of a student being murdered within the school premises and no suspect has been arrested so far.

Mallam Kabir also expressed dismay that just across the fence of the school, along Jaji road are brothels accommodating prostitutes and on several occasions, people who patronized them often scaled the fence of the school into the college for safety anytime they ran into trouble.

The reality star is featured in a booklet by System Magazine, posing for a series of sexy snapshots from back when she was rocking platinum blonde hair and walking through the French countryside.

Apparently Kanye West, who also appears in the shoot, selected Kardashian’s unusual outfit.

Kim has been open in the past about the sort of influence her husband has on her fashion.

During an appearance on  Live! With Kelly and Michael earlier this year, Kardashian said Kanye and his stylist once threw away practically all of her clothes, leaving her “crying.”

They left her with "cool, designer stuff," though, that she has come to love.

"My style has evolved and changed. But I couldn't see it at that time," she added.
