Popular Yoruba movie producer and actress, Dayo Amusa has taken a swipe at her Nollywood colleagues over alleged neglect of Muna Obiekwe‘s deteriorating state of health before his sad and untimely demise. The actress took to instagram to register her displeasure: ‘Yes, Muna might have wanted or lived a private life but people knew he was sick, people knew his health condition and yet what did they do, some tried but if they had cried out to the world MUNA might have gotten help. We are just colleagues NO REAL FRIENDS! Rest In Peace MUNA.’

Is shea butter good for your skin? Must Read
When the weather outside is frightful, your skin is usually anything
but delightful. In fact, it may be as dry as the air outside. And no one
wants to experience a parched, flaky complexion that feels tight or
itchy. While you may be tempted to slather on a heavy-duty moisturizer
like natural shea butter, dermatologists warn that this cream isn't the
best option.
Shea butter, which is extracted from the nut of the African shea tree, is a rich, cream-colored substance that has natural soothing and moisturizing properties. "The moisturizers present in shea butter are some of the same moisturizers that the sebaceous glands produce," says Jody Levine, M.D., clinical instructor of dermatology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.
Shea butter is full of nutrients, including vitamin A, which has many healing properties and has been known to aid in treating blemishes, wrinkles, eczema and dermatitis, as well as burns and even stretch marks. Shea butter is also packed with antioxidants like vitamin E , as well as polyphenols and phytonutrients. These ingredients make shea butter an anti-inflammatory, which is why it works so well at moisturizing and soothing all types of skin (and can be found in skin and hair products galore).
And while pure shea butter is great for hydrating most of your skin (it's commonly used in body moisturizing creams), it should not be used on the face. "It's very rich and can make some people break out," explains Joshua Zeichner, M.D., director of cosmetic and clinical research at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
Instead of using the pure kind (usually labeled Class A), look for moisturizers that contain shea butter, like L'Occitane Ultra Rich Face Cream with Shea Butter, as well as several other moisturizing ingredients like glycerin. In general, it's a good idea to only use products targeted at facial skin on your face, as they are typically noncomedogenic, meaning they won't clog pores.

Fresh Cases Of Bird Flu In Kano And Lagos
The Federal Ministry of
Agriculture and Rural Development on Thursday announced that there has
been unusual high mortality in two poultry farms and live bird markets
in Kano and Lagos States, Punch reports.
It said samples forwarded to the National Veterinary Research Institute tested positive for H5 strain of Avian Influenza Virus, otherwise known as bird flu, adding that confirmatory samples were sent to the International Reference Laboratory in Padova, Italy, for further characterisation. Avian influenza, known informally as Avian flu or bird flu, refers to influenza caused by viruses adapted to birds. Influenza, commonly known as ‘flu’ is an infectious disease caused by the influenza virus. The ministry, in a statement, noted that it had taken some measures in the affected sites to contain the reported outbreaks.
According to the FMARD, it had quarantined the infected premises and placed restriction of movement of poultry and poultry products into and out of areas around infected premises.
It said, “All state directors of veterinary services and the Federal Capital Territory, Poultry Association of Nigeria and other stakeholders have been informed and advised to be on alert with intensified bio-security measures to avert possible spread of the disease to other states.
“The World Organisation for Animal Health and Inter-African Bureau for Animal Resource and development partners have been appropriately notified in compliance with our statutory international obligations.”
It added that it had ensured immediate reactivation of all animal health component of the Emergency Preparedness Plan on bird flu for Nigeria, adding that the conduct of surveillance activities around infected areas to determine the level of spread of the disease was being undertaken.
FMARD said, “All stakeholders in the poultry industry are urged to enhance hygienic practices (bio-security measures) which include, but not limited to, regular disinfection, proper disposal of dead carcasses and poultry products and timely reporting of mortalities in poultry and other bird species to veterinary authorities.
“We wish to assure the public that, given our experiences in handling previous outbreaks and with your full cooperation in the implementation of containment measures, we are determined to contain this disease again within a short time. We will keep you informed as events unfold.”

Kim's Kid Sister, Kylie Jenner Pregnant? New Photo Sparks Tyga Baby Rumors
Is Kylie Jenner pregnant with Tyga's baby? That's the latest rumor
going around, and while it's likely just that - a rumor - she's in no
hurry to squash it.
On the contrary. Not unlike the Kylie boob job rumours or the chatter about her fuller, plumper lips, she's more than content to let the rumors fester.
That or full on egg them on.
Ever since the first stories surfaced about 17-year-old Kylie possibly dating Tyga, the 25-year-old rapper and family friend, the rumors intensified:
The caption, of course, was blank. All the better to let us speculate!
According to In Touch, which hilariously reports her pregnancy as fact, Kylie loves Tyga and sees a future with him," the source said. "She's happy."
She's over the moon that she's pregnant, supposedly.
Kris Jenner? Not so much. Momager is pissssed!
"She was screaming, telling Kylie she was going to kill her and that she never should have let this happened," the source said. "Kris tried to ban Kylie from dating Tyga."
"Kylie told her to mind her own business."
Is there any way she's pregnant!?

Bruce Jenner: "Life as a Woman" Magazine Cover Outrages Kris Jenner - See Photo
The cover for the newest issue of In Touch magazine shows Bruce Jenner as a woman wearing full makeup and a silk scarf.
The image is Photoshopped, but it's still likely to leave readers with the impression that Bruce's transition into a woman is all but complete.
If there's anyone who knows about the power of perception and how easily the public is swayed, it's Kris Jenner. That might be why Bruce's ex is reportedly very angry about the way her former husband is being portrayed in the media.
Sources tell TMZ that Kris flew into a rage when she saw the doctored In Touch cover. Apparently, even though they're no longer together, Kris remains fiercely protective of Bruce and his image.
"It's just mean to do whether or not it's true," Kris reportedly said to a friend.
This is in sharp contrast to previous reports that claimed Kris mocks Bruce for his desire to transition into presenting as a woman.
Perhaps now that he's no longer her husband, she doesn't care if he rocks makeup and women's clothes.
Ironically, the same sources who say Kris is infuriated report that Bruce isn't bothered by the way he's portrayed by the tabloids.
"He doesn't even pay attention to half this stuff," says one insider. We guess 13 years of being married into the Kardashian family would give you a thick skin when it comes to negative press attention.

For Ladies – Reasons High Heels Are Bad For You
It
is not very hard for fashionable women to sacrifice comfort for
fashion. High heels are a classic example of this. A number of studies
have illustrated the detrimental effects of high heels. Dr. Ava Shamban,
a certified dermatologist and author of Heal Your Skin, says, “High
heels put all your body’s weight on our forefoot, causing you to adjust
the rest of your body to maintain balance.” These studies have revealed
that they tend to add extra pressure on the inside of your knee, alter
muscles and tendon structure.
So, read on to know more about how this fashion fad is slowly damaging your body.
Should you shun your stilettos?
High heels tend to place excess force on the inside of your knee, also
known as medial meniscus. This is a known risk factor for joint
degeneration and osteoarthritis. High heels also tend to alter your
posture, which causes your ankles to tilt inward and destabilizes your
ankle joints.
Studies have revealed that the knee joint
pressure increases by almost 25% when a woman wears high heels. They
also tend to impair your balance, thus exposing you to a greater risk of
falling. You could end up with a broken or a sprained ankle because of
that.
This fashion comes at a price.....
It is hard not to feel
strong, confident and sexy when you slip on a pair of high heel shoes
but it affects your feet, back and posture in more ways than one.
High heels force your foot into a painful position and could lead to hammertoes, corns and bunions as well.
They lead to benign growth of nerve tissues at the base of your foot,
also known as Morton’s neuroma. This leads to terrible pain and numbness
in your toes.
Long exposure to high heels also increases the risk of joint pain in the ball of your foot, medically known as Metatarsalgia.
It also adds pressure on your forefoot.
Your calf muscles tend to contract and adjust to the angle of high
heels leading them to shorten or tighten, and subsequently causing you
pain.
Should you ditch those heels?
Poorly constructed
shoes or slippers with heels can wreak havoc on your feet. However
reasonable, comfortable heels can make you look elegant and cause little
pain to your feet. Shorter (1 ½ to 2 inches) heels reduce the severity
of such aches and pains.
Here are some more ways in which you can protect yourself from the harmful havoc your shoes wreak on your body:
Use comfort insoles or cushions, if you cannot resist heels on a daily basis.
Only wear high heels when you are attending events where you do not have to stand for a long period of time.
While going for high heels, always opt for good brand names. This way
you have more chances of finding ergonomically designed shoes, which
would be more comfortable.
Go for shoes in natural materials, such as suede, leather and rubber. These would fit your feet better.
Always try shoes on both the feet and walk around for a few seconds, before buying them.
Shoes with pointed toes are likely to cramp your toes and cause more damaging effects. So, go for wide toe shoes.
Now you know about the harm and damage that your loved heels are
causing to your body. So, what will you be choosing next: comfort or
fashion?
