Woman Kills Man Who Tried To Rape Her In Lagos - See Photo

An unidentified suspected rapist has been killed in the Lekki area of Lagos State while attempting to rape a 22-year-old woman, Ifeoma Okechukwu.

 

It was learnt that the incident happened on Monday, around 12.30pm, in Atlantic View Estate, Alpha Beach Road, Lekki.

Punch learnt that Okechukwu was on her menstrual period and had gone out to buy sanitary pads.

The Imo State indigene was said to be on her way back home when she was accosted by the stranger.

She said,

“After buying the sanitary pads, I was going back home when I saw a man, who should be in his forties, standing at a corner. He approached me and ordered me to take him to my house.“He put his hand into his pocket as if he wanted to bring out a weapon. He said he would kill me if I shouted.When we got to the house, he said I should shut the door and I did. He said I should remove my clothes; and I started begging him, but he refused to listen.So I told him to let me get to the kitchen because I was cooking something and I would be back. I got a rod and hid it in my wrapper. I went back and moved slowly towards him, still begging, but he refused.He was taking off his clothes and wearing a condom when I used the rod to hit him in the head. I started screaming. And then I picked the phone and called my uncle.”

The victim’s uncle, who pleaded anonymity, told Punch Metro that he went to report the matter at the Ilasan Police Station after learning what had happened.

He said, 

“I was not at home when the incident happened and her younger brother had also gone out. So, she was alone in the house and it was possible he had been monitoring her movement.When she called me and said what had happened, I left the office and went to the police station in Jakande Estate where I reported the matter.”

A police source told our correspondent that investigators found a pack of condoms on the deceased, including a phone without a SIM card.

The source added that since the incident happened, no one had shown up to claim the man’s corpse.
He said,

“He was about wearing the condom when the girl hit him on the head and he died. His mission was to rape her and steal from the house. He probably took advantage of her frail stature.We have got information that he was not alone. He belonged to a gang that has been terrorizing Lekki residents for some time now. And that’s why since this incident, nobody knows his name and address, and none of his relatives has come forward to say they know him.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, promised to call our correspondent back, but he had yet to do so as of the time of filing this report.

Okechukwu was however said to have been arrested and detained in police custody.

According to Global Excellence magazine, Mercy Johnson-Okojie got another car gift from her handsome husband, Prince Odi Okojie, after the man became aware of the sex of their new child during pregnancy.
Recall that in 2013, Mercy Johnson got a Lexus SUV gift from her hubby after the birth of their first child together in December 2012, a daughter named Purity.

OMG!!! Jennette McCurdy Nude Photo Leaks Online - See Photo

In the past, when racy photos of Jennette McCurdy were posted online, she was quick to call out the culprit, or at least strongly imply that she didn't leak them.

The actress may or may not have been a victim of The Fappening - there were photos that allegedly depicted her nude, but they were never verified.

Anyway, that's not what we're talking about here:

Prior to that scandal, shots of McCurdy posing seductively in lingerie (see gallery below) were posted on various photo-sharing sites across the Internet.

The 22-year-old McCurdy blamed Andre Drummond - her NBA player ex-boyfriend, whom she claimed was still bitter about their breakup, for the leak.

Today, however, a new naked photo of Jennette surfaced online and if we had to point a finger, we'd guess that the person responsible is none other than McCurdy herself.

The photo is posed, tasteful, and, well... we hate to sound cynical, but McCurdy's career isn't exactly on fire at the moment, and every bit of free publicity helps.

Sure, she used to costar with Ariana Grande on Sam & Cat, but the show's been canceled despite a successful first season run over on Nickelodeon.

While Ariana went on to become one of the world's biggest pop stars, Jennette's been reduced to dissing Ariana on a web series in order to stay relevant.

In fairness, we hear that Jennette has been cast in a new series for Netflix, which is all the more reason this pic may have mysteriously appeared online.

Hey, at the end of the day, we're not complaining.

It's free nudity and unlike so many other examples of that, it doesn't appear to have been hacked, so we don't have to feel guilty for looking at it.

ZAMBIAN PRESIDENT DIES IN UK: He Was 77

Zambian President Michael Sata, who was nicknamed “King Cobra” for his fiery tongue and larger-than-life personality, has died, the country’s national radio said Wednesday morning.

Officials did not disclose the cause of his death. But Sata had traveled to London for unspecified medical treatment last week.

He died in a hospital there Tuesday evening, the government-owned Zambia Daily Mail said.

Sata took office in September 2011 after the incumbent President tearfully conceded in a televised speech, a rare moment in a continent known for volatile elections and leaders fighting their defeat tooth-and-nail.

Analysts hailed his election as an example of an African nation with a vibrant democracy. But not too long after he took office, speculation swirled over his lack of visibility — which especially stood out for a man who loves the spotlight.

Aides said his absence was a result of private international visits, and maintained those trips had nothing to do with medical treatment.

The nation’s bloggers have frequently criticized what they describe as “absence of leadership,” leading him to make a surprise appearance in parliament last month and declare that he was not dead.

 

Sata was born in the Zambian town of Mpika in 1936, and worked as police officer during the colonial administration. He later trained as a pilot in Russia before returning home and helping develop housing projects in the nation.

During Zambia’s struggle for independence from Britain, he jumped into politics, and later founded the Patriotic Front — then an opposition party. His campaign events electrified crowds drawn to his extroverted nature and fight for the average man.

 

Sata, who narrowly lost to his predecessor Rupiah Banda in 2008, was a major critic of Chinese investment in the nation’s copper industry. He especially targeted foreign companies that mistreat Zambian workers, making him popular among the nation’s miners who accused the Chinese of deplorable work conditions.

 

While in office, he warned foreign companies that while their investment is crucial to his nation, they must abide by the labor laws.

 

The veteran politician has served in other positions, including city council, member of parliament and cabinet minister for local government.

 

Before his election, the tiny, copper-rich nation in southern Africa had been ruled by the same party for decades.

Designer André Leon Talley believes Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and North West are deserving of the title of "First Fashion Family."

"The three were a force of iconic moments as they pivoted around Paris, the mecca of fashion during the last fashion shows this month," Talley wrote late last week. "The Nick and Nora Charles of our time, the Liz and Dick Burton, without the brawls."

Talley - a contributing editor to Vogue magazine and former America’s Next Top Model panelists - also quoted several members of the fashion community who have nothing but love for Kim, Kanye and North.

"Kanye knows quality," says Ralph Lauren said, while supermodel Kate Moss says simply that "Kim is one of my favorite people."

Talley concluded his piece by giving props to Kim and Kanye for donning Givenchy, Margiela, Dries Von Noten or Chanel… even when experiencing “a frenzy of paparazzi moments” in the airport or on the sidewalk.

WWII pilot who died 70 years ago have finally been unearthed -- still sitting on the parachute in the cockpit.

The remains of an Italian WWII pilot who died in a dogfight with U.S. pilots 70 years ago have finally been unearthed -- still sitting on the parachute in the cockpit.

Found 13 feet underground with the wreckage of his crashed plane, a Macchi C.205 Veltro, the pilot was identified as being Lieutenant Guerrino Bortolani. His plane literately disappeared in the Padua countryside in northern Italy, planting itself deep in the bank of a ditch as it crashed on March 11, 1944.

"The crash site is now a corn field. We were able to find the remains with the help of an elderly man, who on that day witnessed the fighter going into a nosedive and hit the ground," Alessandro Voltolina, of the Romagna Air Finders, a group of wreck hunters from Ravenna, told Discovery News.

Bortolani, who died at 27, belonged to the 1st Fighter Groups, squadron "Asso di Bastoni" (Ace of Clubs), which was commanded by the Italian ace of aces Adriano Visconti.
Bortolani flew on a Macchi C.205, regarded as the best Italian aircraft of World War II, as part of his "Ace of Clubs" group.

"It was an excellent fighter aircraft, extremely effective in action and well armed with two 12.7 mm machine guns and a pair of 20 mm cannons," Agostino Alberti, of another group, the Air Crash Po wreck hunters from Cremona, told Discovery News.

But on March 11, 1944 the Macchi C.205 fighters couldn't really combat the massive attack of the Mediterranean Allied Strategic Air Force (MASAF) which sent 111 B-17 "Flying Fortress" planes to drop more than 300 tons of bombs on Padua.

Italian and German fighters responded to the attack, and although their action was described as "aggressive" by the allied forces, they succumbed. The Germans lost five planes and three pilots; the Italians lost four aircraft and three pilots.

As well as Lt. Bortolani, Lt Giovan Battista Boscutti was shot down and crashed in the Padua countryside. Lt. Bruno Castellani plunged in the sea off Chioggia, near Venice, while Lt. Andrea Stella managed to make an emergency landing and survived.

"In 2006 we recovered the remains of Lt Boscutti, along with pieces of his crashed Macchi. Obviously, the next goal was the recovery of Lt. Bortolani," Voltolina said.

"It has been a long and complex search, but now this pilot can be finally given a proper burial," he said

The excavation revealed many pieces of the plane, such as the main landing gear wheel, the tail wheel, pieces of the engine, the control stick, the pedals and parts of fuselage.

"Then we saw what everybody hoped to find. The parachute was still closed, and the remains of the pilot were still sitting on it. We also found the ring he was wearing, which he received at the fighter pilot academy," Voltolina said.

Bortolani will be finally given a burial in the next months, as soon as his closest relatives are found.
