Angelina Jolie’s Ex-Girlfriend Weds - Photos

Jolie and Shimizu
                           Jolie and Shimizu
I am quite sure that many of you didn’t know that Angelina Jolie was once in a lesbian releationship…in other words, Angelina is bi-sexual. Well, her ex-girlfriend Jenny Shimizu, a Japanese-American model, recently said ‘I do’ to her socialite girlfriend, Michelle Harper.

Jolie and Shimizu first met on the set of their 1996 film Foxfire. At the time, Jolie was married to her first husband Jonny Lee Miller. Angelina  told Girlfriends magazine then that the initial spark with Shimizu was very much palpable.
She said:
“I would probably have married Jenny Shimizu if I hadn’t seen my husband,” Jolie, now 39, told the mag in 1997. “I fell in love with her the first second I saw her.”
Shimizu and her new wife met at a 2012 party. Here’s what she told New York Times of meeting Harper:

“I didn’t believe it myself until I saw it. It’s like so many things about her. There are these misconceptions and generalizations that don’t fit this person who is full of spirit and down-to-earthiness.”
Angelina on the other hand, also got married recently to her actor sweetheart and father of her children, Brad Pitt.

Husband Catches Wife in the same Hotel he Took his Girlfriend To In Lagos!!! See Drama, Lol

There was serious drama in the Olodi Apapa area of Lagos on Thursday night as a man who took another lady to a hotel to enjoy himself, came out from the hotel room only to see his own wife coming out from another room in the same hotel with his best friend.

When he spotted them, the visibly angry husband, identified as Kayode, was said to have shouted:

My own wife in a hotel with another man!”

At the first instance when Kayode saw his wife, Mrs. Funmilayo, he never envisaged that the man with her was his best friend, Mr Mufutau, but after a closer look, he noticed that the man was Mufutau and he slapped him twice before Mufutau retaliated. And serious fight broke out.
Funny enough, as both men were fighting themselves in public, Kayode's wife, Funmilayo, pounced on her husband's girlfriend and tore the lady's clothes for having the effrontery to date her husband...
The crazy fight came to an end when the Bar Man, Receptionist, and others customers intervened and they blamed both the married man and his wife for not being sincere and trustworthy to themselves.

According to Leadership, the Bar Man told Kayode that he was guilty of the same offense for bringing a lady, which they later discovered was also a married woman, to the hotel. The barman said that what occurred was a nemesis or law of distributional justice.

But before the fight ended, the women were said to have torn their clothes to shreds and left in shame.

Mikel Obi Pleads With Nigerian Girls To Stop ‘Attacking’ His Russian Girlfriend

Super Eagles/Chelsea player, Mikel Obi is in the news again and this time it’s not about his profession but about his Russian lady love, Olga Diyachenko. After reports claiming the two were engaged went viral yesterday, buttressing the fact that he was very unavailable, Nigerian ladies took to social media to slam the star player’s girlfriend. Mikel Obi, who is a perfect gentleman is having none of it and has cleared the air on the rumoured engagement.

Speaking with sports journalist, Colins Udoh, Mikel pleaded with Nigerian ladies to go easy on his woman and dismissed reports that he has proposed to Olga. Mikel said: “Yes, she is my girlfriend, but I have not proposed to her. If that happens, it will not be hidden and everyone will know. I’m begging Nigerian girls to please leave her alone. Some Nigerian girls have already been attacking her (on social media) since this fake story came out.”

How to cook Okra Soup!!!

okra soup

Okra Soup is one of the quickest and easiest Nigerian soups to prepare. Some argue that a lot of work goes to the cutting of the two vegetables used in preparing this recipe. Yes but once the vegetables are ready; it cooks in no time at all. It is one of the popular 'draw soups' enjoyed in almost every part of Nigeria. Okro is also globally known as lady fingers and is rich in Protein.

This soup is known as Miyan Kubewa in Hausa.
Ingredients
  • Okra: 250g
  • Red Palm Oil: 3 cooking spoons
  • Beef: Best cut
  • Shaki - Cow Tripe (Optional)
  • Fish: Iced Fish (Mackerel/Titus), Dry Fish, Stock Fish
  • Crayfish
  • Pepper and Salt to taste
  • Onions - Optional
  • Vegetable – Pumpkin leaves or Spinach
  • Seasoning – 3 Maggi/Knorr cubes
Before you cook Okra Soup
  1. Boil the stockfish for about 20 minutes and leave in the pot with the hot water to soak.
  2. Cut the okra fingers into tiny pieces. The tinier you cut the okra, the more it will draw. To achieve this, you need to make a few vertical cuts followed by horizontal cuts on the okra fingers.
  3. Grind the crayfish and the dry pepper.
  4. Wash the pumpkin leaves, if it is your choice of vegetable, and cut into tiny pieces.
Cooking Directions
  1. If you will use shaki (cow tripe) for the soup, wash and boil till it is done. Add water sparingly because this soup needs to be thick. Add the soaked stockfish and dry fish to the cooked shaki. The length of time it will take to cook shaki depends on the cooking appliance utilized. You can take a bite to confirm this.
  2. When you are happy that the shaki and stock fish are well-done, add the beef, onions and stock cubes and cook till done. Then add the iced fish and cook till done.
  3. Pour red palm oil in another pot and heat the pot to dissolve the oil if it is congealed. Add the diced okra and start frying to kick-start the drawing process, add some meat stock from time to time till you notice the okra start to draw. This process should take a maximum of 5 mins to avoid over-cooking the okra.
  4. Now add the vegetable and stir well. Add all the meat and fish, crayfish, pepper and salt to taste. Then stir well.
  5. Cover the cooking pot and leave to simmer and it is ready to be served.
Notes: Shaki, Meat, Dry Fish, Iced Fish (Mackerel/Titus) and Stock Fish must not all be used at the same time in preparing the okra soup recipe. If you can, by all means use all as they will add to the flavour. But if not, an okra soup prepared with only iced fish ((Mackerel/Titus) can equally taste good. So don't go and break the bank because of a pot of soup!
Onions is optional because while some people cannot bear the smell/taste of onions in okra soup, others are like "Okra soup without onions? No Way!"
So feel free to add and subtract ingredients but the minimum ingredients that make an okra soup are:
  • Okra (of course)
  • Palm Oil
  • Beef, Iced or Dry Fish
  • Crayfish
  • Pepper and Salt (to taste)
  • Vegetable
  • Seasoning
Pumpkin leaves are the best for okra soup but for those outside Nigeria, this may be hard to come by so you can use spinach. But make sure it is the washed and frozen one. This works better than the fresh and leafy spinach as far as the Okra Soup recipe is concerned.
Serve with Eba (Garri), Cassava Fufu, Semolina, Amala, Tuwo Shinkafa, or Pounded Yam.

Meet the Woman with the World’s Biggest Hands

Duangjai_Samaksamarn_show1

For more than 50 years, Duangjay Samaksamam, from Thailand, has suffered from an extremely rare and painful affliction that leaves her limbs permanently swollen. According to a new series, Body Bizzare, Experts believe the 59-year-old is the only person in the world to suffer the rare condition macrodystrophia lipomastosa from shoulder to fingers on both arms. Embarrassed by her condition throughout her childhood, she spent the first 20 years of her life as a recluse ashamed of the way she looked, meaning she never went to school. But she was forced to come out of hiding at the age of 20 to earn a living in order to care for her elderly parents, and take over running the family grocery shop.

She said..

My hands are so heavy I can barely lift them to comb or shampoo my hair, it’s very difficult. Getting dressed is also very difficult and painful. ‘Some doctors said the only solution was to cut off my hands if I wished to walk around freely. But I don’t want to do that.’They removed about 700 grams of fat and blood out of my hands but after a month it just grew back” Plastic surgeon Dr Eiju Uchinuma said: ‘This case is very rare. Both her arms are enlarged. Her arms and hands are enormous so they swell badly but it could be worse. My diagnosis is that she is the first and only person in the world who has Macrodystrophia Lipomatosa from shoulders to her fingers on both arms. ‘The cause of the disease is unknown and is therefore incurable.

Joan Rivers Dead at 81; Daughter Confirms Comic Legend's Passing in Statement

Joan Rivers has passed away at the age of 81. The comedian had been fighting for her life since she stopped breathing during a surgical procedure last week.

R.I.P. Joan Rivers (1933-2014)

R.I.P. Joan Rivers (1933-2014). She will never be forgotten.
The one-of-a-kind star "passed peacefully at 1:17 p.m. surrounded by family and close friends,” Joan's only daughter, Melissa Rivers, said in a statement.
“My mother’s greatest joy in life was to make people laugh. Although that is difficult to do right now, I know her final wish would be that we return to laughing soon.”
Rivers reportedly died of cardiac arrest this afternoon.
She was admitted to New York’s Mt. Sinai hospital August 28 after she stopped breathing during a procedure on her vocal cords at a New York Clinic.
In the ensuing days, Rivers was placed in a medically-induced coma to assess her condition, then placed on and subsequently taken off life support.
The petite blonde firebrand won't be remembered for the events of the past week, but for the pioneering confessional female comic persona she embodied.
Often lampooning her personal life (and others'), she brought a rare gravitas to gigs from the The Tonight Show to Fashion Police over more than five decades.
Joan had and did it all, from talk shows, Vegas engagements, and bestselling nonfiction books, to award shows, TV commentary and best of all, standup comedy.
Edgy and never afraid of being politically incorrect, she always stirred up controversy in what became an increasingly politically correct world since she started out.
Back in the ’60s, Rivers paved the way for comics of the female gender to be every bit as outrageous, outlandish and hilarious as men, with no qualms about it.
Her life was also marked by the tragedy, specifically her husband Edgar Rosenberg’s 1987 suicide, which was played out in the media for months.
Rivers and her daughter with Rosenberg starred in the reality/improv comedy show Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best? for WE TV and were very close.
Joan and Melissa Rivers have been fixtures on E! and other channels as hosts of awards ceremonies arrivals (the Oscars, Golden Globes, and others) since 1995.

Happy 33rd Birthday, Beyonce!

One of the most successful entertainers on earth, the superstar who only needs one name, the wife of Jay Z, the mother of Blue Ivy, Beyonce turns 33 today.

Beyonce, Jay Z and Blue Ivy
Jay Z, Beyonce and Blue Ivy

The "Flawless" singer continues to set the bar as high as possible for pretty much all celebrities out there, Solange-Jay Z elevator attack be damned.
“We escalate, up in this bitch like elevators, of course, sometimes shit go down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator,” she sings on "Flawless."
Followed by the sound of a cash register dinging, obviously. Hey, sometimes you have a bad day and some fool sells the surveillance photo to TMZ.
It happens, but the wife, mother, performer, pitchwoman, feminist and occasional political activist frankly doesn't seem like she has any f--ks to give.
No matter how many scandalous Jay Z-Beyonce divorce rumors are printed, she seems to respond with even greater displays of power and strength.
Did you see Beyonce's VMA performance? And Blue Ivy and Jay watching in the crowd, then greeting her afterward? Enough said. Enough. Said.

Stand up and wish her the happiest of birthdays right here and now.
