God I look up to you!!! Save our land and nation. I mourn Mama Nafdac…and mama Nollywood.”

Who Suffers More After A Break-Up- The Man or The Woman?
As ridiculous as it may sound, there are actually worse
things in life than death. If you’ve ever gone through a break up
before, you’d agree that the experience thereafter is always hellish
especially if you’ve invested lots of emotion, time, effort and
resources in the relationship.
It becomes even more excruciating if what you get in return for your
investment is heartbreak. So, as usual, opinions were sampled from
Nigerians to bare their minds on who ends up the most hurt after a break
up.
Roll with me.
Folake (Interior designer) Female
Break ups to be candid, aren’t always easy for both parties to deal
with especially if both were committed to it. I am tempted to say the
woman because we are very emotional in nature. You know, we cry more,
think more and end up really depressed after the relationship ends.
Well, even a day year old child knows that it is the woman. Men initially will feel bad, but they quickly get over it like nothing ever happened. I mean, you don’t expect us to be lying down on the couch like we are suffering from terminal illness, do you?
Mabel (Accountant) Female
Hmmm… I would say the man. The man because getting a special lady isn’t quite an easy task. Unlike men, women get wooed virtually on a daily basis. She can easily and quickly get someone else if not better and forget about the ex. That way, another man makes her get over the previous relationship.
Femi (Microbiologist) Male
The emotional nature of women means that it takes longer for them to heal than men. It’s almost impossible for men to lie down like a log of wood moaning over a break up. It will be a dent to our ego. Obviously, women suffer more.
Ann (lawyer) Female
The bond between a man and a woman in a relationship determine how bad or how worse both suffer in the aftermath of a break up. If both were truly emotionally involved and committed, then the healing would take longer for both. The only reason why woman would be affected most is the emotional and fragile nature of their hearts.
Chuks (Mechanical Engineer) Male
It sure must be the woman. Except the man was the one doing the Mr lover man thing, it’s quite rare to see men being the more heartbroken.
Rossana (Customer care agent) Female
You’d be surprised that some men are quite emotional too and they get badly hit by a break up. In most cases, who does the trying-to-come-back thing? The man. So, I don’t want to totally conclude that ladies are the ones that only get badly hit. Men are fragile and soft like a baby too.
Lawrence (Architect) Male
Heartbreaks aren’t always easy for anyone to deal with including the man. Psychologically, one is really disturbed either the man or woman. But it must be stated clearly that men have stronger hearts to deal with a break up than women.
*****
There you have the different opinions from our respondents. However, I must quickly say that usually, heartbreaks from break ups can affect either both parties or one of the two. Love is so strong that even the strong hearted can severely be broken hearted. That’s why after a break up you could see a man folding in bed like he has just been shot with a rifle.
So, folks, if you have a different opinion, feel free to drop your comments.

New information has surfaced about Kevin Roper, the 35-year old truck
driver who fell asleep at the wheel early Saturday morning and caused a
car accident that sent Tracy Morgan to the hospital.
It also resulted in the death of comedian Jimmy Mack.
According to New Jersey State Police, Roper had not “slept for a period in excess of 24 hours” at the time of the crash.
He now faces four charges - including vehicular homicide, auto assault and reckless driving - and is expected in court on Wednesday.
Roper (a native of Jonesboro, Georgia) was behind the wheel of a Walmart truck around 1 a.m. Saturday when authorities say he caused a six-vehicle pile-up on the New Jersey Turnpike.
Morgan and another passenger in his limo bus were airlifted to a local hospital.
The former 30 Rock star suffered multiple broken bones and will remain under doctor supervision for the next few weeks.
In a statement Saturday, Walmart president and CEO Bill Simon said his company will take responsibility for the crash, referring to road safety as “our absolute highest priority."
"This is a tragedy and we are profoundly sorry that one of our trucks was involved. We are working quickly to understand what happened and are cooperating fully with law enforcement to aid their investigation," he said.

Why I named my twins Hollywood and Nollywood – Actor fires back at critics (Must Read)
Nollywood Actor/Movie Producer, Femi
Ogedengbe stunned Nigerians when he announced on Facebook that he had
named his twins, born on the 27th May, Nollywood and Hollywood.
Although, he received a lot of criticism for doing that, Femi is hitting back at his critics.
In a press statement sent to BON, the Actor
said the two industries have directly and indirectly influenced him
positively, especially in terms of fame and riches.
Read statement below:
“The level of hypocrisy in Nigeria is just
too high or how do I explain the attack I and my wife have received on
different blogs for adding Nollywood & HOLLYWOOD among the names we
gave our bundles of Joy : King Praise Micheal Victor Tochukwu Jesuogbo
Iyinoluwa Hollywood & Queen Grace Michelle Victoria Peculia
Chimamaka Jesukomeh Opeoluwa Nollywood.
I guess all those who condemned us have been
so blinded by Hatred that they couldn’t see all other names but the
HOLLYWOOD and Nollywood. Anyway, thanks for noticing me, my wife and our
children, but What is really bad in those two names?
It always come with different interpretations depending on how every one percieve it from their stand point.
Most people who criticise the names gave
their reason, they said ;the two industries (HOLLYWOOD & NOLLYWOOD)
are synonymous with immorality .
And I wonder if they are truly alright at all
because if they are normal, they will know that despite some of the
negative reports from Nollywood, It is safe for Nigerians to declare
Nollywood day because this is an industry that has consistently put our
name in the world map and when you are fortunate to travel out of
Nigeria, then you will realise we Nigerians are the only people that are
not proud of NOLLYWOOD.
If we choose to look inward, then questions
like ; where and What would have been of Names like, Tonto Dike, Mercy
Johson, Jim Iyke Kevin Ikeduba , Odun Adekola , in a country where
unemployment is at it highest level.
I for one will still be in the back street
of Mushin hussling or dead like 35 of my childhood friends who all died
between 1990 – 1995 around wuraola in pako Eleja Area because they all
decided to take the short-cut (armed robbery). But thanks to Nollywood, I
am now Femi Ogedengbe! It is a pity that people will seat in the
comfort of their homes, hide behind the freedom that such platform as
Facebook and all other social network provide to judge the logic behind
the actions of people they don’t know.
Here in Nigerian there is a town called
Umuagwo & Umueke (descendants of snakes) and you don’t think that is
weird enough but some of you whose family names are something around
the neighbourhood of Esubiyi,Sango these and Ogun that Join in condeming
a name that has its origin in such a vibrant industry as Nollywood that
has engage more Nigerian youth in one way or the other and have helped
in no small measure in putting smile on our collective faces unlike the
Nigeria corrupt politicians who we shamelessly sing their praise ..
In as much as I appreciate everyone who
congratulated me and my wife Nkechi Diane, the matter wey dey face
Nigeria pass Femi Ogedengbe name pikinses Nollywood & Hollywood. Abi
Na bro’s Boko “insecurity” Haram we want talk about abi na corruption
we wan yan…In my little way I have addressed the issue of corrupt
politician in my 1994 movie (Tear of the GHETTO)What have you all done
to show your displeasure ?
Nothing but you wan carry placards to protest my children names …..uncles and aunts make una park well oh …Long live Nigeria”
