Lupe Fiasco ALSO Compares Justin Bieber to Donald Sterling, Only Racister
Justin Bieber has apologized for racist videos
made while the pop mega-star was still in his teens, but many
understandably feel that even the sincerest admission of guilt is simply
not enough, given the abhorrent content of Bieber's bigoted "jokes."
One such critic is rapper Lupe Fiasco who recently likened Justin's comments to the blatantly racist remarks made by Donald Sterling, former owner of the LA Clippers.
"Justin Bieber said it, so it's cool and people are already coming to his defense," said Fiasco in an interview with MTV.
"Donald Sterling made a billion dollars when he sold the team and then there was such an uproar over someone who didn't use the N-word at all, but then you have someone who made a very racist joke about it - I wonder if Justin's gonna get the same treatment as Donald Sterling."
"I don't think he will," Lupe continued. "It's an absurd thing. You get somebody who we 'like' who says it, and says it even more 'racist-ier' and we don't bat an eyelash at it."
Lupe's comments echo those of Drake Bell who also compared Bieber to Sterling.
Surprisingly, Lupe and Bell seem to hold the minority opinion in the entertainment world, as stars such as Floyd Mayweather, Lil Wayne and Whoopi Goldberg have all defended Bieber's comments.

CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele Presents 10-Point Agenda
The new Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has on Thursday presented his 10-point agenda.
Emefiele said he was committed to create "a central
bank that is professional, a central bank that is apolitical, and
people-focused. A Central Bank that spends its energies on building a
resilient financial system that can serve the growth and development
needs of out beloved country, Nigeria."
Before introducing his agenda, Emefiele praised the work that the previous governor did to achieve financial system stability, low inflation, an effective payment system, and exchange rate stability.
Monetary policy
Emefiele said the CBN would pursue a gradual reduction in interest rates, an apparent shift away from his predecessor’s hawkish monetary policy that was credited with bringing inflation down to single digits. Interest rates have been stuck at 12 percent since late 2011, and several measures have been made to tighten liquidity, which has been brought inflation down but made businesses complain that lending rates are too punitive.
"Such high rates create preserved incentives for commercial banks to simply buy virtually risk-free government bonds rather than lend to real sector," Emefiele said.
He said that while reduction in deposit rates would encourage investment attitude in savers, a reduction in lending rates would make credit cheaper for potential investors.
Emefiele also said that the apex bank would begin to include unemployment rates "as one of the key variables considered for its monetary policy decisions". He added that the CBN would design its monetary policy taking into account the potential fiscal expansion in the run-up to the 2015 elections.
Exchange rate policy
The CBN chief said the bank would continue to maintain exchange rate stability in view of the high import dependent nature of the economy. Emefiele cautioned that a systematic depreciation of the naira may translate to considerable inflationary pressure with negative effect on macro-economic stability.
"Therefore, under my leadership, the bank will continue to focus on maintaining exchange rate stability and preserve the value of the domestic currency."
"We will sustain the managed float regime in the management of the exchange rate as this will allow the bank to intervene when necessary to offset pressure on the exchange rate."
Economic development and employment
Emefiele said that the Central Bank would no longer focus solely on monetary and price stability. Citing the experience of Japan, the US and France, the governor said that the CBN would start supporting selected economic sectors using "direct methods" of intervention to support the overall performance of the economy as well as boost employment.
"With an annual additional 1.8 million Nigerians to the labour pool, the Central Bank cannot afford to sit idly by and concentrate on price and monetary stability.
"Additional measures would be required towards identifying productive sectors of the economy and channeling credit towards these sectors, while imposing proper monitoring and performance measures in order to ensure that the goals of increased employment and poverty reduction are attained."
Stability of financial system
Under the leadership of Emefiele, the CBN will continue to sustain the effective management of the potential threats and avoid systemic crisis.
"The core of my vision is to effectively manage potential threats to financial stability and create a strong governance regime that is conducive for financial intermediation, innovative finance and inclusiveness."
To achieve the goal, the bank would work with stakeholders to aggressively shore up the reserve, and would engage both the fiscal and political authorities, the governor said.
Agenda in brief
It will also be recalled that President Goodluck Jonathan suspended previous governor of the CBN, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, over 'financial recklessness', a claim Sanusi denies. The ex-governor insisted that he was removed for highlighting alleged widespread corruption in the oil sector and appealed his suspension in court.

- Establish Secured Transaction an National Collateral Registry as well as establish a National Credit Scoring System that will improve access to information on borrowers and assist lenders to make good credit decisions;

Amazing Love Story! Lola Omotayo gushes about her Life with Peter Psquare Okoye in revealing Interview
Peter Okoye of P’Square and Lola Omotayo’s love story is compelling and amazing. The couple have been in a relationship for over eight years before they finally tied the knot on Sunday, November 17, 2013.
There has been a lot of talk and whispers about their marriage, the family issues and the fact that Lola is by far older than Peter Okoye has been trending. But why did she decide to marry someone who’s her junior?
Below is Lola Omotayo’s stand on their age difference…
Lola, who was a Business Development Director at FKG2m a marketing agency in Lagos, had told the story of how she and Peter met and how the relationship started:
Read More Below
“My agency handles some of British American Tobacco brands and P’Square was doing a show for us at one of our events in Enugu. Though I had met Peter a couple of times before then, at the show there was some chemistry.
He asked for my number and I refused giving it to him. I told him ‘if you really want to know me, you have to find my number’. So he took it as a task and found my number and the rest is history.”
Lola, said to be in her 30s then and Peter in his 20s, was not disturbed by the age difference.
Her reason:
“Like I said, Peter is an old soul and he always tells me that I’m like a 23-year-old. Age is just a number. Right now, you can see it around the world. Demi Moore, Usher and some known people. Even in Nigeria here, they are dating people far older than their age. So, we shouldn’t base it on the age factor. He doesn’t make me feel like he’s younger than me.”

Ladies! Check Out How Lemons Can Make You Flawless
To many persons, lemon is just a fruit. But to most ladies, it means much more than that. Your skin and hair are secretly in love with this wonder fruit and you’ll be amazed at the lots of beauty uses for lemons. There are many fruits which have their own function when it comes to beautifying the body. Here are some beauty routines you can adopt with lemons.
1. Brighten Your Skin
This is the most popular beauty use of Lemons. The juice from this fruit is rich in vitamin C and citric acid. It works perfectly well as a skin brightener and lightener if used regularly. For dark skinned persons, please use sparingly to avoid over-lightening your skin. Make sure you wear ample amount of sunscreen to protect your skin when you’re out in the sun because Lemon juice can make your skin more sensitive to the harmful UV rays.
2. Lighten Your Hair
This is one of my favorites as it helps you skip the chemicals. Sprinkle some Lemon juice on your hair and use a wide tooth comb to comb it in so that it would separate and create pretty highlights. If you want a lighter color all over, pour the whole cup of lemon juice on your head. After that, sit out in the sun for a while (20 minutes should do) and afterward, wash and dry your hair and I promise you’ll have a very nice, natural looking color in no time. Be sure this is what you want, because once its bleached, it can never go back to its original color.
Don’t do it too often otherwise it might make your hair look brassy.
3. Whiten Your Teeth
Lemon juice acts as mild bleach. To get noticeably whiter teeth when next you attempt the Monalisa smile, prepare to mix a concoction. Bring out your baking soda, pour out a tablespoon of it and add some lemon juice. Mix them into a thick paste, take a portion and apply to your teeth. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes and then scrub with your toothbrush. Remember to consult your dentist for advice before trying this out.
4. Strengthen Your Nails
I have never had the opportunity to try this for obvious reasons. My regular readers know why. Regular use of gel manicures can really damage and weaken your nails. But fret not, lemons are right here! Mix lemon juice with a cooking oil (preferably olive oil) and soak your nails. This can also help fix yellowing of the nails.
5. Moisturizer
Get ready for another concoction. This time, our extra ingredient for the homemade beauty product is: coconut water. Mix a few drops of coconut water into a cup of lemon juice and apply generously to your face and skin. The coconut water helps hydrate your skin while the lemon juice helps clear and brighten it.
6. DIY Deodorant
Do you sometimes forget your deodorant? There’s an easy solution to that problem in your fridge – a lemon! Why not? Its the perfect emergency deodorant. The citric acid in lemon juice can kill odor-causing bacteria, and there are people who swear by the lemon deodorizing method. Slice the lemon in halves and swipe your armpits with one on a daily basis. Just be sure not to apply lemon juice to recently shaven armpits — ouch!
7. Exfoliate Your Lips
Finding the right lipstick is always a challenge, so why don’t you try putting lemon juice on your lips before going to bed. The next morning when you wash your face, the dead skin cells and dried skin will scale off and you’ll have supple lips for that lipstick to glide through.
8. Soften Elbows And Knees
This time, take some lemon juice, preferably a full lemon, few teaspoons of salt, and some olive oil. Mix it all together and you have created your own homemade body exfoliators. This works like magic and can even help you get rid of a tan.
9. Lighten Age Spots
Fun fact – lemon juice can help lighten aging spots or even liver spots and freckles. Who needs to go spend a ton of money on aging cream when you can just use the lemons in your house? Leave the juice on your spots for 15 minutes and then rinse the skin.
10. Treat Blackheads
lemons can really help treat acne because they are antibacterial and can get ride of those blackheads. No need for a concoction this time, just use freshly squeezed lemon juice on your face and allow the juice to sit on for minutes and heal your skin.
