BIG DISGRACE: Two Popular Nollywood Actresses Fight Over Younger Lover [PHOTO]
Two Nollywood actresses recently tore at each other, kicking, biting and punching. But over what, you may ask? Well, over a younger actor who has J and I beginning his name and surname. The shameless actresses have F and A and S and O heralding theirs. The battle ground was Winnis, an artistes’ rendezvous in Surulere, Lagos. ''Ashawo''... ''boy friend snatcher''...'' shameless old fool'' and ''old cargo'' were some of the foul languages the duo used on each other before clothes were torn and injuries inflicted with their nails and via some crazy punches.
S and O, to tell the truth, was the first to hook J and I. But from behind, F and A stepped in and almost succeeded in pocketing the young actor with money and gifts and attention. Somehow, information got to S and O and she waylaid F and A at Winnis. Taking her unawares and giving her what is known in local parlance as first attack, she was almost stripping her amidst heavy blows from left, right and centre when some of their colleagues came to her rescue. - S and O is from the Eastern part of the country, on the fair side and not too tall while F and A is from Benue State, slim-built, K-legged and multi-coloured, due to bleaching. The latter had been acting before the former, although the former is more popular. She has also been luckier in terms of cornering some career-enhancing movie roles. Their ugly story and fight, meanwhile is now the talk-of-the-town among their colleagues and even non-colleagues. Particularly all those that were there as the crazy drama unfolded. AGN, the umbrella body of all the actors, may soon look into the matter, and possibly penalize them.

ABUJA BLAST: How NIS Recruitment Survivors Escaped Death Twice.
Injured victims of the Abuja explosion will probably never
forget their terrible experience. However, they are still happy to stay
alive.
Oguike Charles and Abang Malview had a bad luck to go through both the deadly Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) recruitment stampede on March 15 and the explosion at the Nyanya bus park just a month later. But – miraculously – they both were fortunate to survive.
Oguike, who is receiving treatment in Asokoro General Hospital, shared his experience with This Day.
"Yesterday (Monday), when I got to Nyanya bus stop, where we used to enter el-Rufai buses, I bought my ticket and queued up at the entry point. Just then, there was an explosion," said the unemployed graduate.
"The explosion happened in such a way that I couldn’t recognise myself; I saw so many dead bodies flying. Then, I knew that apart from breathing, life is nothing. In fact, in my own case, this is the second time I have escaped death narrowly. I escaped the immigration stampede and now I have escaped death from bomb blast."
Just like Oguike, Abang, who also had survived the NIS stampede, could not believe he was alive after the Nyanya blast. Abang, 30, recalled how those who stood beside him at the bus station perished in the blast, while the force of the explosion lifted and threw him to the other side of the park.
"As God would have it, it just lifted me, threw me afar and I survived. All the people who were there with me where I bought the ticket perished. When I came back to life from the impact of the explosion, I stood up and saw the place was engulfed with fire. However, I was struggling to move as I had twisted my foot, so some people came and gave me aid; they dragged me away from the fire."
On April 14, a heavy explosion shook Nyanya bus park at the outskirts of Abuja at 6.30am, killing at least 75 people. Just a month earlier nearly 20 people died in a stampede during the NIS recruitment exercise in Abuja and seven other centres in the country.

Comedian Ali Baba and Wife Celebrate Their Wedding Anniversary – Photos
Yesterday was the 8th wedding anniversary of Comedian Ali Baba and his wife – they have been together for 16 years though! Ali Baba who says marriage has brought him happiness, and fulfillment. Their marriage is blessed with six children, including an adopted daughter.
In a recent chat with Vanguard, the couple excitedly shared their love story, marital journey, likes and dislikes, weaknesses etc.
Read Interview Below:
What marriage has done to me
Marriage has been good. It’s a stablising factor, it helps one to
plan properly. It also redefines your responsibility pattern. When you
are a young man, you don’t have the kind of responsibility you should
have as a man. For instance, if somebody says ‘let’s go partying in
Ghana,’ you are ready to storm Ghana without anything holding you back.
But when you get married, you will no longer take that kind of
decision on your own. It means that a lot of things you do will now
have to be shared with your partner. Marriage also helps you not only to
reorganise youself in respect of how you want to live your life, but,
more importantly, how you spend the money that you make in your
business.
Meeting my wife
I met my wife after I had started my comedy business. She was my banker. I met her while I was banking with the now rested Citzens Bank.

Proposing to her
It took a long time. For the kind of person that I am, particularly in my own kind of business and also, in her own kind of profession, she needed closure and a lot more to be offered to her. Given my kind of business, you don’t blame her if she’s skeptical because of the exposure that comes with it. I think sincerity of purpose was one of those reasons that made her to accept my proposal.

How long I have been married
I have been married for eight years. But we have been together for over 16 years.

Courtship before marriage
Yes, courtship with a purpose, indicating that this is where I am going to, and it would be nice if you would go with me. Unlike when you say, ‘this is where I am’, and your partner says, ‘okay, I am thinking about it’. You will be compelled to convince the person that you are actually going in that direction.

Secrets of the success story of my marriage
My wife has been the secret of our success story in marriage and God. She is the glue that keeps holding us together. She holds the home front, she also manages me. I am not the easiest person to live with, considering the fact that I am an artiste and always on the move. She’s somebody who believes in firm planning. She likes to do everything according to plan. I am the kind of person that works on the fly and I think on the fly as well. But she finally began to make me to fall in line. She’s a stabilising factor in my life.

Having admirers in marriage
You will continue to have admirers even after marriage. It’s natural that everybody gets attracted to what is good. And so, for anybody who becomes a celebrity, you would see people who would want to associate with you, not because of your real person, but because of the popularity and cloud of celebrity that surrounds you. It’s a mix of all of that and you decide on how to handle the situation.

Love at first sight
It was a case of getting to know the kind of person she was, and knowing that she was a family oriented person. She’s also a very professional person, and it took a cousin of hers to introduce us to each other.

Your parents opposing the union
Not at all. My dad’s main concern is whether she’s somebody that ‘you are comfortable with, somebody who can support your dreams and make you grow as you would want to grow. If she’s, then we will support you’.

Pitfalls in marriage

So, in every relationship, once your partner begins to want something that is

up of that relationship. But beyond this, issues of infidelity,
jealousy, incompatibility and inreconcilable differences could also lead
to break up of marriages. You need to know the kind of person you are
going to spend the rest of your life with.
What I don’t like about her
There are a lot of things I don’t like about her just as there are lots of things I like about her. Sometimes, she pushes me too hard. She’s like telling me ‘you can do it, give it a trial’. Sometimes, I resist the pressure she mounts on me. But later, I discovered that after I have done it, it actually works out well. She sometimes feels I am not where I am supposed to be yet. And the pressure is not about her, rather it’s about where she feels you are supposed to be, and you are not. That’s positive. But there are some people who can’t take that.

Hanging out

Attraction
A lot of things attracted me to her. Apart from being a professional, she’s a stablising factor in my life. She has great sense of humour, she cooks well and she’s a very pretty woman. She understands the thespian in me, having read Theatre Arts as her first degree. Above all, she normally sees where my dreams are going.

Advice for young couples
Getting to understand themselves. For a lot of young artistes, it’s not knowing who you really want to settle down with because fame has crept in. You find it easy to settle down with somebody who wants fame to set in. But when you now become popular, you do not know who really loves you for who you are, or because of the fame. What I’m saying is that, as a celebrity, it pays if you get married before you achieve fame. This is because, as soon as you become famous, a lot of distractions and camouflaging will come into play.

Break up of celebrity marriages
I don’t have issues with that. To me, your happiness in marriage is key to every thing. That is not to say, for every flimsy excuse that you have, you walk out of your marriage. But if the person you finally got married to, turns out to be somebody totally different from somebody who you thought he was, or totally different from who you expected the person to be, you are in such a situation where the person is key to your happiness, you prefer to be away from home in order to find happiness than to come back home and break down.

His wife speaks:
Our relationship
He was a customer and I was his banker. I was drawn to him because he had the ability to simplify big issues and introduce laughter into difficult situations.

What I saw in Him
Although he is a comedian whose business is to make people laugh, he always believed that being funny is a serious business. There was that seriousness in him and determination to turn his laughter business into a major commercial success. As his banker, it was my duty to give him valuable financial advice along that line.

Attraction
I became interested in the person that he was. It was not about marrying Ali Baba, it was about marrying Atuyota as a person. I saw his qualities; the fact that he would make a good husband and father. In addition to that, his ability to make me laugh gave him an edge because I love to laugh.

Female admirers
At such times I walk away and just watch from afar. I cannot do anything about that. We go for events and people turn up and want to take pictures and all that. It comes with the territory and I give him that space because he needs it.

Toolz: ‘I remember being so insecure when I did my voice-test and not really thinking I was any good.’
Beat FM’s radio presenter, Toolz (Tolu Oniru) shared her inspiring story with fans on Instagram:
I’m not one for long epistles on Instagram, but sometimes I think about my journey and I am still truly baffled. God is so incredibly awesome!
5 years ago, I moved back to Lagos, not knowing what to expect, but willing to work very hard. The plan wasn’t to go into entertainment/media…the plan was to manage properties, but God had a different plan.
I remember being so insecure when I did my voice-test and not really thinking I was any
good. Then I got a call back offering me a position – My own show. I remember thinking – these people are having a laugh, I’ve never done any presenting in my whole life. Then my show on the Beat got popular, and bigger and greater things followed.
I’m eternally grateful to everyone involved in this journey. It’s not always easy, sometimes being in the public eye makes you want to stay in bed and sob all day, but by His grace I keep on keeping on. I get so emotional when people send me emails, saying I inspire them. I never ever thought it would be like this.
I’ve come a long way and I’m proud of where I am today…I also know God has only just started!
Moral of the story- never give up and remember that with God, anything is possible. #Grateful #Thankyou
How we entertainers helped politicians kill our fans in Nyanya bomb blast – by Etcetera
Singer Etcetera thinks Nigerian entertainers are partly to be blamed for what happened at Nyanya Motor Park yesterday. Find his opinion piece below…
For God’s sake, can Somebody please call Dbanj, Don Jazzy, Onyeka Onwenu, Duncan Mighty, Stephanie Okereke, Genevieve Nnaji, Funke Akindele, Omotola, Rita Dominic, Aki and Pawpaw, Sammy Okposo, Sunny Neji, Maleke, Okey Bakassi, Jay Jay Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo, Daddy Showkey, Richard Mofe Damijo, Kwam 1 and other entertainers that have at one time or the other been seen dining with politicians? Can you please tell them that there has been a bomb blast in Nyanya? Can you include pictures of the mutilated bodies? Please don’t forget to tell them that most of the dead might have been lovers of their music and movies and cheered them in every concert and football matches they played both at club level and the national team. Tell them that their CDs and Movies were bought by those dead fans for inspiration and because they wanted to feel alive and ease off the daily tensions faced everyday in this country.
That the Jingles done by Dbanj, Don Jazzy, Sammy Okposo, Onyeka Onwenu and other entertainers might have convinced some of those who have died in different Boko Haram raids or bad roads or lack of proper healthcare facilities to vote for politicians who have failed them in all ramifications? The same politicians that failed to protect the lives of those shredded bodies in Nyanya? That some of the dead fans in Nyanya might have even spent their little earnings to attend their concerts in Abuja and environs? Have you as an entertainer ever sat down to reflect on the fact that each time we give our voices to enhance the career of these politicians knowing they mean no good for this country that we are bringing more hardship and even death to our fans?
Why devote precious hours in the studio composing songs asking your fans to vote for politicians whose past stinks more than the dustbin at Ojota?
How do you feel listening to those songs today knowing that Mr Politician failed you and your die-hard fans? Can you give back those millions to bring back the lives of those dead fans in Nyanya, Jos, Maiduguri, Agatu in Benue? I guess not, because frolicking with the devil makes you perpetually his.
2015 is around the corner. Many of us entertainers will be called upon to do jingles, attend rallies wearing branded T-shirts in support of these same politicians. Millions of naira will be paid to your bank accounts. Thousands of bottles of MOET will be popped for you to feel good at different rally points while you convince your fans to join the bandwagon as part of the special few who voted for change.
Right now, some of us entertainers must be licking our lips in anticipation of the naira windfall come 2015. Let your conscience be your pilot. That is if you have one. May the souls of those fans who have died because of insecurity and corruption haunt every entertainer who refuses to repent from selling his or her talent for money at the expense of a better Nigeria.
And may the souls of all our faithfully departed fans REST IN PEACE. Amen!

Oluwatosin was approached by the suspects and she took them into her room at the hotel which she secured at the cost of N3, 500 per day.The suspects overpowered Oluwatosin and stuffed a cloth in her mouth to prevent her from screaming. She was also bound by the hands, while the suspects took turns in raping her.Afterwards, the suspects stole her phone and money, locked her inside the room, took the key and tossed it into a canal.
A relative of the deceased said the following morning, when the hotel attendants wanted to clean the hotel rooms, they knocked on Oluwatosin's door but there was no response. It was learnt that the attendants then used a spare key to open the door and the corpse of Oluwatosin was found.
Her father, Babatunde, told PUNCH Metro that the matter was reported at the Orile Police Station and his daughter’s corpse was taken to the Mainland Hospital, Yaba. Babatunde said he had no idea that his daughter was a commercial sex worker. He said the family had been looking for her since December last year and had reported her missing at the Adeniji Adele Police Division on the Lagos Island. He said:
“My daughter was in JSS3 in 2012 when she dropped out of school. She said she wanted to be a sales girl and we got a job for her, but she did not stay there. Suddenly, in December last year, she left the house and did not return home. Her mother and I called her on the telephone several times, but she would say she was fine and putting up in a friend’s place. She used to visit her grandmother, but in January, she stopped picking calls. All attempts to get her proved abortive. We did not hear anything from her until we received a telephone call a few days ago, saying her corpse had been found in a hotel.”
The mother of the deceased, Muibat, lamented that Oluwatosin was her third child that would die within five years. She said the deceased was her first born and she had only two children remaining. She said she did her best as a parent and wondered why her daughter chose such a lifestyle.
When Punch correspondent approached the hotel for comment, the employee at the front desk said the management had given instruction that journalists should not be spoken to. However, an employee of the hotel told the police that the rule of the house was that more than two patrons should not be in a room at the same time. The employee said he was not aware that Oluwatosin had taken two people into her room.
The suspects, in their statements, confessed to killing Oluwatosin, but said it was by mistake. They said they only played a minor role in the crime as the prime suspects were still at large. The police explained that 19-year-old Chukwuebuka was arrested by members of the Odua Peoples Congress at City Point Hotel, Apapa, where he had gone to commit a similar crime. Through Chukwuebuka’s confession, Chimudi was arrested. Chukwuebuka identified other suspects as Williams, Victor, Joshua and Kojo. He said:
“We have been doing this thing for a while now. We have operated in brothels in Ajegunle and Kirikiri. I have raped over five girls, but none of them died. We operate in hotels where there is loud music and many rooms. We usually use rooms that are not located on the ground floor so if a victim shouts, no one would hear her.”
