5 Best positions to get pregnant fast

Getting pregnant maybe the easiest of all things, however, some couples do find it hard to conceive for several reasons, including weak or insufficient sperm count.

5 Best positions to get pregnant fast
In some cases, as when nature needs a boost, a little push from you and your partner can go a long way in getting pregnant. When it comes to the best position to get pregnant, the general rule is that the male sperm must be deposited as near to the female cervix as possible.

This has something to do with the life spans of the female egg and the male sperm. Once an egg is released from the ovary - a stage also known as ovulation - it begins its path down the fallopian tube to the uterus. A released egg typically survives for only 24 hours, while a sperm can last anywhere from three to five days in the female body. As such, the egg has to be as close to the egg as possible so they can meet and join before the egg dies.

While not a lot of people will agree that the sexual positions have anything to do with getting pregnant, the logical inference is that it makes sense to assume the position that can help the sperm meet the egg in the shortest possible time.

This is especially true when for couples who have problems or difficulty conceiving. Having said this, the first "best position to get pregnant" tip is to avoid positions that least expose the cervix to the male sperm, and that generally defy gravity such as sex while standing up, sitting down, or with the woman on top. When trying to conceive, it is best to limit the amount of sperm that flows back out of the vagina.

The woman's hips should also be positioned in such a way that the sperm released is kept inside, giving it enough time to swim up to the female cervix.

Consider the following positions instead:

1. The missionary position. Or man-on-top is said to be the position that's best for getting pregnant. This is because this particular position allows for the deepest possible penetration, making it possible for the sperm to get deposited closest to the cervix.

2. Raise the hips. Elevating the hips, which can be done by placing a pillow behind her, can also be helpful because this exposes the female cervix to as much semen as the male can release.

3. Doggy-style. The rear-entry position where the man enters the woman from behind is also a recommended position. In this position, sperm is also deposited closest to the cervix, thereby helping increase the chances of conception.

4. Side-by-side. You can also try having intercourse while lying side by side. This position likewise causes the most exposure of the cervix to the male sperm.

5. Orgasms. Finally, while this has nothing to do with sexual positions, there are also researches that suggest the importance of the female orgasm in conceiving. According to studies, female orgasm leads to contractions that could push sperm up into the cervix. The lesson: have fun while

Kosovo club makes offer to secure the services Suarez

Kosovo club makes bold Suarez offer
With the Balkan nation not officially associated with FIFA, a first division team has made a shock offer to secure the services of the forward for the duration of his suspension
Uruguay’s Luis Suarez has been offered an unlikely safe haven from his FIFA ban by Kosovo Superleague outfit Hajvalia.

The forward has been suspended from all football activity for four months and banned for nine competitive international games for biting Giorgio Chiellini, meaning that he cannot appear for club or country until November at the earliest.

However with Kosovo not an official member of FIFA, club president Xhavit Pacolli is prepared to make an ambitious offer for Suarez, hoping that such a loophole will tempt the Liverpool man to serve his ban as a Hajvalia player.

"Suarez can't play in the next four months,” he told Sport Plus.

"As we are not part of Fifa yet, I think he can play in Kosovo, so we have an offer that we will send to Liverpool.

Pacolli has readied a bid of €30,000 in addition to a monthly salary of €1,500 to tempt Suarez to play in the Balkan nation temporarily.

"This is the maximum that we can offer,” he added.

"This might sound ridiculous to him, but that is all we can do.

"If he is willing to come and play for us, he is welcome. As we are not part of FIFA, it would be ideal for him."

19-Year Old Girl Says She Is In Trouble For Exposing The Father Of Her 2 Weeks Old Baby To Police

It was clear Kate Olowu was very tense when she opened the door of their residence on 39, Unity Street, Egan area of Igando, Lagos after several knocks on Monday evening.
But when the young, fair-complexioned woman peered through the doorway and spoke in a timid voice to inquire the reason for our correspondents’ visit, there was little doubt that she was a young woman.

She later revealed that she was 19 years old.
With a child less than two weeks old, Kate has reasons to be tense. Her life seems to have taken a tumble recently, when her husband, Monday, was taken into custody in connection with a robbery gang that snatched a Toyota Camry 2000 model, belonging to a pastor, Mr. Lawal, on Monday, May 26, 2014.
When our correspondents visited the Olowus’ house, a bungalow which Kate shares with her husband and mother-in-law, 68-year-old Mabel, it was obvious that the young woman was terrified of answering questions in the presence of her mother-in-law.
But when the older woman went inside to attend to some things, Kate broke down in tears and told her version of the story.
It all started a few weeks ago, when one of Monday’s customers and acquaintances, identified as Michael, walked into their house, which doubles as Monday’s shop for his embroidery designing work.
Little did Kate know that her already difficult life was about to take a turn for the worse.
She explained, “That day, I was at home when Michael came in and gave a small bag to my husband to keep for him. Monday did not even open the bag, he just collected it and dropped it somewhere. But later, I overheard Michael speaking on the phone. I heard him saying they had snatched a car and that the owner was a pastor. I didn’t know who he was speaking with over the phone but I heard him say ‘I have kept the document with the boy who does embroidery for me.’
“I was not comfortable because I hate stealing, let alone robbery. When Michael left, I went through the contents of the small bag that Michael had brought and found a name and a phone number.
“I called the number and the man at the other end said he was the agent from whom the vehicle was bought. I told the man about what happened and how Michael was planning to sell the stolen car and brought some goods to my husband. The man said he would inform the pastor. But later, the police came and arrested my husband.”
Saturday PUNCH learnt that Kate blamed herself for reporting the robbery after giving her statement to the police. Kate told our correspondents that she became sad when she realized that she had put her husband in trouble as a result of her openness.
“I thought the man who kept the documents and other things with my husband would take all the blame since my husband knew nothing about the issue. I thought Michael would simply be arrested and that would be the end of it. I love my husband because he does not stay out late and he takes care of me despite the fact that we are poor and we both sometimes go to bed hungry,” she said.
But Kate’s trouble is even bigger now.
Unfortunately for Kate, her mother-in-law has got wind of the fact that she was the one who made the call that put her husband in trouble. She suspected that the police gave the mother-in-law that information.
Kate broke down as she continued, while trying to be discreet so as not to attract the attention of her mother-in-law, who had left the living room.
She said, “Mama has said she would send me packing with my child. I have nowhere to go. I have nothing. I stopped school when my mother died because there was no money to go further. My father is bedridden.
“Mama came to marry me for Monday because we had nothing. I love my husband very much and I did not mean him any harm. The only close relative that I could pack out to live with is my grandma in Benin city (Edo State), but I don’t have a dime to even travel there.”
Kate said that the only thing that could save her from becoming homeless is for Monday to be released from police custody.
Saturday PUNCH knew about the case following Mr. Lawal’s testimony in his church- the Living Faith Church, Sango-Ota.
A pleased Lawal had thanked God for sparing his life during the armed robbery incident. However, Lawal declined to comment on the issue when approached by our correspondent, saying that the case was already being investigated by the police.
A source at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad headquarters, Ikeja, which is handling the case, obliged Saturday PUNCH with the details of the case based on the verbal accounts and written statements of Lawal and the apprehended suspects.
According to the source, the incident occurred on the said date around 8pm as Lawal was returning to his house.
The source said that Lawal’s account showed that he was approached by Monday’s accomplices, Michael and Asunmo– as he was about to drive inside his compound in an estate in Egbeda area of Lagos.
The source said, “Lawal said he was bundled into the back of his car by the assailants. Michael sat in the back with him while the other, Asunmo, who was driving the car, took the Isheri-LASU-Iba Expressway from Egbeda. As a pastor in his church, Lawal started calling to God but Michael, who sat with him tried to shut him up. Lawal deposed that Michael assaulted him by slapping him in an attempt to shut him up, but he continued shouting Jesus, anyway.
“Our investigation showed that the robbers dropped Lawal off at Akesan and gave him N200 to get back home after he pleaded with them that they had robbed him of all the money he had with him. One of them had also threatened to shoot and kill him.”
Some of the things that were stolen along with the vehicle included Automated Teller Machine cards, cheque books, some cash, project documents and a Bible.
But more than four weeks after the incident, the stolen car is yet to be recovered.
The source, however, explained that the stolen car has taken a long route after being traced to Agbara, Ogun State, Ikorodu, Lagos State and finally Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
“First, we traced the car to Asunmo, who lives in Agbara area. He confessed that he had sold the vehicle to a car dealer in Ikorodu area of Lagos for N200,000. When we got to the dealer, he said that the car had been sold to someone from Port Harcourt,” the source told Saturday PUNCH.
Meanwhile, Mabel and Kate have been denying allegations levelled against Monday, saying he had innocently accepted goods from Michael. At some point, Mabel became hysterical in her defence of her son.
But their claims were swiftly debunked by the source, who said that the police had also recovered guns and two complete sets of army uniforms, suspected to have been used in robbery operations, from Monday’s house.
According to the police source, an underground armoury was also discovered in the house, which his family members refused to show our correspondents during the visit.
After much prodding though, Mabel led our correspondents to the backyard of the house where she admitted that a “local gun” was recovered by the police. She also denied that Monday knew about the gun.
“Michael kept it there but my son did not know about it,” she insisted.
Meanwhile, the police suspect that the guns recovered from Monday’s house belonged to his late father, who was a veteran in the Nigerian Army.
The source said, “Some of us feel that the guns and uniforms belonged to Monday’s father and when he died, Monday started renting them out to his accomplices, who rob with them and give him his share of the spoils.
He said, “While in police custody, Monday even sent his brother to quickly go home and hide the guns before the police would find them. The brother did that that but when the police couldn’t find any gun in his house, they questioned him more since the complainant (Lawal) had alleged that he was threatened with a gun. Then, Monday confessed and told the police where to find the guns, including the one used to threaten Lawal.”
Saturday PUNCH spoke with some members of Lawal’s church, who knew about the case and their account slightly differs from Kate’s story.
A church member who has been following the case, said that Lawal went to report the incident in church, where the founder of the church, Bishop David Oyedepo, prayed with him and assured him that the culprits would be apprehended within four days.
According to the source, less than 24 hours after Oyedepo’s prayer, Kate had started calling one of the numbers she found in the stolen goods, belonging to one of the church pastors to report the incident.
The source said, “She said that some people brought some goods to an uncompleted building behind her house and that she overheard them saying the operation was successful. She said there was a big Bible among the goods which made her uncomfortable each time she saw it.
“She said she felt like a pot of fire was on her head and that she would have returned some of the goods but that her husband would kill her if he found out that anything was missing there.”
Kate later met a team from the church at an agreed place, where she described her house and when they could come and recover the goods.
The church member, who did the narration, said he was amazed by Kate’s openness at that point.
Although, Lawal’s car has not yet been found, some of the church members have given the police some credit for their persistence in the investigation.
The Officer-in-Charge, SARS, Ikeja, Abba Kyari, declined to comment on the status of the case, saying he was not authorised to speak to journalists.
An informed senior officer at the command, however, denied that the police were responsible for disclosing Kate’s role in her husband’s arrest to Mabel.
“Police officers are not daft; most of the breakthroughs that the police have credited to informants. We can’t compromise our informants because of armed robbers. The information could have been leaked from another source that knows about it,” the source said.

Efforts to reach the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Ngozi Braide, were unsuccessful as she did not respond to calls and text messages sent to her mobile phone.

Uruguay President Lambasts FIFA Calls Them ‘bunch of old sons of bitches’

Uruguay president lambasts Fifa with ‘bitches’ jibe
The leader of the South American country, Jose Mujica, swore whilst describing football's governing body following Luis Suarez’s ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini
Uruguay are refusing to accept the suspension handed out to Luis Suarez following the striker’s bite on Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini.

The Liverpool forward has been barred from all football-related activity for four months, banned for nine competitive international matches and hit with an €80,000 fine.
The punishment took into account the fact that Suarez had been found guilty of ill-discipline on the field on more than one occasion previously, a fact acknowledged by Fifa general secretary Jerome Valcke.
Uruguay president Jose Murjica, however, has criticised the ban, calling it “fascist”.
“Fifa are a bunch of old sons of bitches,” he said, speaking to a journalist. “They could have punished him, but not given him this fascist ban.”
The 79-year-old echoes the sentiments of his compatriots, including national captain Diego Lugano, who have largely refused to accept Suarez’s sanctions.
Suarez was previously banned for seven matches in 2010 for biting PSV's Otman Bakkal, during his time at Ajax.
Most recently, he was suspended for a further 10 games after biting Branislav Ivanovic of Chelsea while playing for Liverpool in the Premier League.
The Uruguayan FA have informed Fifa that they will appeal against the ban, while Suarez himself has argued that he lost his balance, making his face collide with Chiellini’s shoulder.

Okorocha Blames Abuja Politicians For Charly Boy’s Action At Dad’s Burial

Click for Full Image SizeGovernor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has blamed Abuja-based Imo politicians for the embarrassment he received in the hands of Charles Oputa (aka Charly Boy) at the funeral mass of his late father and eminent jurist, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oguta on Friday.

Charly Boy had upstaged the Imo State governor and prevented him from speaking at the funeral mass as protocols demanded.

But in a statement signed by Sam Onwuemeodo, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Okorocha accused Abuja-based Imo politicians of instigating the insult and embarrassment meted out to him at the church.

According to Okorocha, it was “highly regrettable that the son of the late Justice, Mr Charles Emeka Oputa, aka, Charly Boy threw caution to the wind and turned the church service into a political theater that saw him acting or playing out the script he drafted in Abuja with some Imo politicians” who he said had remained cowed by his overwhelming popularity.

The statement disclosed that the Imo State governor had worked together with Charly Boy both when the late Justice was sick, until the time he died and the preparation for the burial which also encouraged Okorocha to make substantial financial input and also organized a special day of tribute for the late Justice at the expense of state government with Charly Boy also present with other members of the family.

“This is why the sudden change of character of Charly Boy at the church service, in which case, he insisted that the governor would not talk as protocol demanded, could not be understood, except that he was acting out the script handed over to him by some of the gubernatorial aspirants from the state who might have been rattled by the thunderous ovation that greeted the governor by the crowd when he was first introduced.

“At a function like that, protocol had demanded that the host governor must talk before any other speaker. But Senator Pius Anyim representing President was first called to talk. Ideally, as a representative of the president, there was no way Senator Anyim would not have talked at the event. But protocol would have seen the governor talking first to welcome the invitees to the service as the host governor.

“Perhaps afraid of the popularity of Governor Okorocha among the Imo populace that has always made them to hail him wherever and whenever he talks, the few politicians from the state in Abuja who are desperate to capture power in the state in 2015, saw a willing tool in Charly Boy for them to ensure that the governor would not talk at the event.

“We condemn that ugly incident. And also wish to advise politicians from the state to stop heating the polity over power since God is the giver of power. In 2015, God will decide who will govern Imo State and when God decides that, there is nothing anybody can do about it,” the statement said.

Nicki Minaj’s mother says ‘tithing’ helped her daughters music career.

Carol-Maraj-Nicki-Maraj-550x379
Superstar rapper Nicki Minaj ‘s mother, Carol Maraj, says prayer and her strong Christian  faith are the keys to Queens, N.Y. born Onika Maraj’s success.
In an interview with  Christianpost.com. Carol said,
“I believe by her acknowledging the power of prayer, and her strong desire to tithe together with a  praying mother, contributed to her success.”
“My life as a Christian and believer was opened to Onika. As her career continued to thrive, she developed more concerns about life,” Carol told The Christian Post.
“The Bible says to train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old would not depart from it,” Carol told CP. “I trust that one day Onika will sing unto the Father, because a seed has already been planted. Nothing is too big to God.”
Carol plans to pursue a gospel singing career as a platform to spread her message about domestic violence. Both Carol and her daughter are domestic violence survivors. Carol founded The Carol Maraj Foundation to provide encouragement, emotional support, a mobile beauty spa and financial empowerment through various programs.
“My husband was a drug user, and would usually come home to sleep or steal. Seeking guidance in my life, I went to a revival (church) service with a neighbor who invited me,” Carol revealed. “During service, the preacher made an altar call. My neighbor then turned and whispered, ‘God is waiting for you, Carol. He wants to restore your life.’”
Carol has advice for other domestic abuse victims.
“I think it is very important for couples to have open communication in their relationships,” she told CP. “In addition to communication, you need to show respect for one another, and include prayers in your daily life. I learned to release every area of my life to the Lord — physical, emotional, social and spiritual. And that is what I think everyone should do to help overcome any issues.”

Should John Obi Mikel be dropped against France?

Should John Obi Mikel be dropped against France?
Following a series of underwhelming performances, the Chelsea midfielder has come in for criticism from some Nigerian fans. Should he retain his spot in the team?
DEBATE
By James Ezimoha & Solace Chukwu
When considering Nigeria's star performers this summer, John Obi Mikel's name is startlingly absent.

Despite the midfielder's experience and many qualities, he failed to impose himself in the Super Eagles' opening three games and has, at times, been accused of slowing down the team's play and lacking defensive discipline.

Forgotten is the vitality and innovation of the Confederations Cup.

In this great debate, two of Goal Nigeria's writers debate the Chelsea man's continued presence in the heart of the Super Eagles' team.
"Keshi can and should bench Mikel"
“Nigeria qualified for the second round of the World Cup despite defeat to Argentina.”

That statement could have been totally different had results in the other group game gone differently.

That is, if Iran had beaten Bosnia and Herzegovina with the same margin as they lost, 3-1, the Super Eagles would have touched home by now.

John Obi Mikel's underperfomance would have been the highlight of a very sad tale.

In the second round, however, there is no room for second-best teams.

If Nigeria are to defeat France on Monday, the Super Eagles cannot afford to field a player who has been second-best with every touch, every pass, every tackle, offensively and, quite surprisingly, defensively, throughout the tournament.

The Chelsea man is not one to go under the radar in a match. And certainly not in the World Cup where every game is high profile and every minute spent on the pitch is an opportunity to shine on the grandest platform of world football.
Is Mikel trading on past glories?
No doubt, he’s a senior and respectable member in the team based on caps and responsibilities. However, Nigeria’s persistent faith in him has, and could, cost the team more. The national goal is far greater than one player’s ego.

His underperformance against the Albiceleste wasn’t a one-off. It also had nothing to do with a second yellow card which would have ruled him out of the Knockouts. First, the rules were changed, which I’m sure the team is aware of. Secondly, his decline predates the tournament itself.

It’s hard to see why Keshi cannot bench him. The Big Boss can and should. There could never be a ‘perfect timing’ to do it.

This writer was one of those who raised placards protesting Michael Babatunde’s inclusion in the team to Brazil. It was the same for when he was included in the win-or-burst match against Bosnia at the expense of Victor Moses—the ‘Messiah’ of the Super Eagles.

Babatunde shocked everyone with a strong fire-for-fire performance that attracted praise from all, even his critics.

The Big Boss has stated that everyone in his team is capable of doing the job as he has shown with the Moses and Babatunde episode; even goalkeeper, Vincent ‘The Cat’ Enyeama can be replaced...

If we continue to rate Mikel on past glory and popularity levels, we would be doing ourselves a huge disservice.

Let the best man play.

Better the Devil you know...
In the wake of the Super Eagles’ 3-2 loss to Argentina in Porto Alegre, almost every player in the team emerged with credit. The one clear and unanimous exception was John Obi Mikel. Slow on and off the ball, lethargic in his movements and often making the wrong decisions when there was a chance to break, his performance was in marked contrast to that of his opposite number.

While Lionel Messi was at the heart of everything the Albiceleste did right, Mikel was often simply in the way.

That said, calls for his exclusion for the Second Round game against France are misguided and reactionary. It was already abundantly clear from the very first game against Iran that something was not right with our No. 10, so why is there so much uproar all of a sudden? Did no one notice it earlier?

This writer has been quite vocal in his dissatisfaction with Mikel’s showings, and advocated for Mikel to be dropped for the Argentina game in favour of Ramon Azeez. Football is really all about fine margins and timing. While dropping Mikel in a game where the team could afford to lose in order to trial another option may have been preferable, we are now faced with the Knockout rounds.

If Mikel had been dropped for the game against Argentina, and Azeez had performed well in his stead, it would have sent a message to the Chelsea man. He has clearly been in need of a kick to step up his level of performance. Is a high-stakes knockout tie the place or time to do this?

Absolutely not.
Nigeria's biggest match in a generation is no occasion for experimentation
It is crunch time, and as such, making such a drastic change (for Mikel is a vital part of the team) for Nigeria’s biggest game in almost two decades would be unwise. Azeez underwhelmed against Iran playing an unfamiliar role at the top of the midfield triangle, but there are no guarantees he will fare better in his natural role, especially considering he has not played there since his call-up to the Super Eagles.

At this stage, Azeez or even Gabriel Reuben would represent a huge risk. The latter has seen no minutes in Brazil, and his last appearance as a substitute against the USA in a pre-World Cup friendly totally unhinged the midfield. He seems even less mobile than Mikel, and his range of passing is not reassuring. Azeez, on the other hand, is an unknown quantity in his natural position.

As the saying goes, better the devil you know than the angel you do not. (Goal.com)
