President Barack Obama is now on Twitter!
“Hello, Twitter! It’s Barack. Really! Six years in, they’re finally giving me my own account,” Obama wrote as his very first message.
The 53-year old's bio, meanwhile, reads as follows:
"Dad, husband, and 44th President of the United States. Tweets may be archived."
That may be accurate and everything, but Obama may want to show a bit more humor and originality if he wants to gain any kind of real following.
Former President of the United States Bill Clinton is also on Twitter and can perhaps offer Obama a few pointers, while 2016 hopeful Hillary Clinton also has an account.
Hillary's bio lists her as "hair icon" and a "pantsuit aficionado," making it clear Hillary may have lost to Obama in 2008, but she has him beaten so far in social media creativity.
