Goods worth millions of naira have were this morning consumed by fire which started around 4:36am at the popular Balogun Market on Lagos Island according to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Spokesman.

The fire started from a plaza which housed hundreds of shops and gradually spreads across other buildings. The fire was able to spread fast to other buildings, because the buildings were all built close to each other.  A diamond bank building was also sadly affected.
