Tamara Green claims Cosby drugged her during a lunch date, then groped her at her apartment, after the two had gone on a date back in the early '70s.
Green has made this claim twice before:
- In 2005, on NBC's Today, in an interview surrounding the comedian
- In interviews with Newsweek and the Washington Post this year
A retired attorney, Green has now filed a defamation lawsuit against Cosby in Massachusetts, claiming Cosby's repeated lies (via his team) have branded her a liar.
Green says she's been ridiculed in her private life and professionally as a result of Cosby, and is looking to drag him into court as a result of this angle.
Which is what it is, an angle to get around allegations that are decades old and unlikely to result in any police action (though the LAPD says it may investigate Cosby).
His denials are more recent than the alleged crimes, so Green's suit - like the lawsuit filed by Judy Huth under a different pretense - could make it to court.
Regardless, it's yet another sad chapter in a troubling pattern of allegations that have exploded in the past month, but Patton Oswalt says it has been long known.
