Mario Balotelli put up for sale by AC Milan

AC Milan have put Chelsea and Manchester United transfer target Mario Balotelli up for sale, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola.
Citing reports from Italy, A Bola claims that AC Milan are looking for between €25m and €30m for the former-Manchester City forward, who has struggled to hit the heights of his early months at the San Siro.
Following his move from the Premier League back to Italy, Balotelli hit the ground running. And while he still leads Milan with 14 Serie A goals this season, he has failed to live up to expectations. A number of Premier League clubs have been linked, including Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Milan president Silvio Berlusconi wants to use money from the sale of Balotelli to strengthen a squad that has flopped in the league this season.
For much of the campaign Milan have struggled in the bottom half of the table - although they currently sit eighth and could finish as high as sixth with one game remaining.
As well as England, the report claims interest in Balotelli on the continent would also be strong with Monaco thought to be preparing an offer.
But the Italy international reportedly does not fancy a move to the Ligue 1 side, opening the door for the likes of Chelsea and United.
Both sides are expected to be busy in the transfer market this summer, with Chelsea in particular keen to add another striker.

2 Witch Doctors In Tanzania Have Been Arrested For Killing Albinos

tanzanian witch doctors

Albinos in East African countries are seen as spiritual elements that can be used for human blood rituals  especially blood money with the believe that albinos bring good luck.

Two Tanzanian witch doctors have been arrested for allegedly killing a female albino by mutilating her body with a cutlass. One of the deceased albinism legs and several of her fingers were removed in the attack on Tuesday 14/05/2014.

Such killings have been reduced until yesterday when the dead woman's body was seen. This has prompted human rights group in Tanzania to call for all witch doctors to be banned for life. At a press conference on Wednesday, the group, Under The Same Sun said the current regulation of witch doctors was clearly not working.
BBC's representative Leonard Mubali in Dar es Salaam says that all witch doctors in Tanzania have to apply for a certificate from the ministry of health and welfare to in order practice. The attack took place in the village of Gasuma, in Simiyu province - a remote rural area in the north-west of Tanzania where killings of albinos have been reported in the past.

Jose Mourinho is a fool- Samuel Eto'o

Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o has launched a thinly-veiled attack on manager Jose Mourinho after the Portuguese coach questioned the Cameroon international's age earlier this year.
It was reported in March that Eto'o still hadn't forgiven Mourinho for mocking his age a month earlier - and it seems this may well be the case, after the 33-year-old appeared to label his manager a "fool" in an interview with africanfootball.com.
When asked how he feels about next month's showpiece international tournament being his last World Cup finals, the former Barcelona and Inter Milan striker responded: "Today, I am 33 years old. And it is not because a fool called me an old man that you must believe it. And you may have noticed that the old man was better than the youngsters."
Eto'o is poised to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after his one-year deal with the Blues comes to an end. Mourinho brought the African legend to west London as a short-term signing after the veteran striker made it clear that he wanted to join other high-profile names in leaving the troubled Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala, where he spent two years.
Eto'o proved a useful short-term measure for the Blues, scoring 12 goals - including a hat-trick against Manchester United - and providing six assists in 34 appearances. However, Chelsea do not plan on offering the Cameroonian a contract extension, as they plan for the future with Spain international Diego Costa set to arrive at Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.

Petr Cech could be sold by Chelsea this summer

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech could be sold by the club this summer if he isn't prepared to become Thibaut Courtois' understudy at Stamford Bridge, according to The Telegraph
If reports are to be believed, Jose Mourinho will make Courtois, who is currently on loan at Atletico Madrid, his No.1 choice between the sticks next season. The Belgian youngster has had a fine season in Spain and has played a key role in his side's hunt for a La Liga and Champions League double.
This could lead to Blues veteran Cech - who has been the No.1 at the Bridge for a decade - being sold by the club in the up coming market, with the Mourinho rating him at around £10 million. With Cech earning as much as £100,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge, the club could be ready to save on his high wages.
Mourinho will, however, look to sign a back-up for Courtois if Cech is sold, as the Blues target success in the 2014/15 campaign. Cech has enjoyed a fine career at Chelsea, but it appears that the rise of Courtois could spell the end of his career as the club's No.1.
It remains to be seen as to whether the 31-year-old does eventually depart the club, but if he stays then he will be in for a great battle for the No.1 jersey next season.

Pope Sends Warning Message To Boko Haram, Kidnappers And Arms Dealers

Apparently reacting to current acts of terrorism being perpetrated by the Boko Haram sects in north-eastern parts of Nigeria, Pope Francis early Thursday condemned all acts of terrorism, kidnapping and arms proliferation.

The Pope described the menace as “absurd contradiction” between the international community’s calls for peace, the proliferation of the global arms trade and the lack of attention to the suffering of refugees.
“Everyone talks about peace, everyone says they want it but unfortunately the proliferation of all types of arms is leading us in the opposite direction,” Francis told a group of new ambassadors to the Holy See.
“It would be an absurd contradiction to talk about peace, negotiate peace and at the same time promote or allow the arms trade,” he said at the Vatican ceremony.
While commenting on the issue of refugees, after the death of 17 asylum-seekers in a shipwreck near Libya on Monday, the pope said: “We can’t just chase after emergencies.

“It is time to confront this issue in a serious and responsible way with a political perspective.
“In a way it is cynical to proclaim human rights and at the same time ignore or fail to care for the men and women forced to leave their homelands who die trying or do not receive international solidarity.

“There are stories that make us cry and shame us about human beings, brothers and sisters… who undertake perilous voyages and undergo kidnapping, torture and all types of suffering, ending up sometimes dead in the desert or at the bottom of the sea."

China: Miner Found Alive After 17 Years Underground

miner

Ãœrümqui| A group of coal miners from the western province of Xinjiang, had an unbelievable surprise when the gallery they were excavating opened up on a section of an old mine, that was abandoned 17 years ago after an earthquake that caused some large sections of the tunnels to collapse. While they were exploring the galleries, they stumbled upon Cheung Wai, a 59-year old survivor from the 1997 accident, obviously in a rather bad shape. He was immediately taken to the hospital where a complete evaluation of his physical and mental states will be done over the next weeks.
The poor man had remained trapped underground with the bodies of 78 of his dead coworkers, after an earthquake of a magnitude of 7,8 hit the region and caused the wooden support structure of the mine to crumble and collapse. Somehow lucky in his misfortune, Mr. Cheung was saved by the fact that some ventilation duct still connected his underground prison to the surface, allowing him access to air that was  sufficiently pure to keep him alive.
He managed to survive thanks to an emergency stash of rice and water, stored in an underground depot, conceived especially for this kind of case. The man complemented his diet by catching and eating the countless rats that pullulate in the mine, as well as collecting large quantities of some sort of phosphorescent moss, which constituted his only source of vitamins. Even though he was suffering from great physical and mental stress, he managed to give proper burials to all of his comrades, spending almost a year in this great selfless act.
Mining accidents remain common in China despite growing measures by the government to reduce the problem, which killed more than 4000 miners a year at the beginning of the millenium. Over the last years, the authorities have been cracking down on many unregulated mining operations, which account for almost 80 percent of the country’s 16,000 mines. The closure of about 1,000 dangerous small mines last year helped to cut in half the average number of miners killed, to about six a day, in the first months of this year, according to governmental statistics.
The case of Mr. Cheung remains unique however, and constitutes a world record, according to  the universally recognized authority on record-breaking achievement, Guinness. The former record for surviving underground was of 142 days and was held by a british man named Geoff Smith. He had been voluntarily buried in the backyard of the Railway Inn, his favorite pub, with the intention of breaking the record.
