Jim Iyke praises Nadia Buari for her humility; blames his public relations for bad boy image

One of African Movies finest stars talks about what challenges him professionally:

 Jim Iyke and Nadia Buari

In a new chat, Jim Iyke explains that he doesn’t act much in movies now because it doesn’t excite him.

Nothing was challenging anymore. It was too easy and too perpetual. It was too boring and too predictable. I had no room to pursue or hone other skill sets I had. I didn’t have time for extra curriculums like hobbies, family, and friends, personal and social advancements. Something had to give! After all, I was the guy that made 38 films in a year.

Regarding his bad boy image and controversies, he had this to say:
“I’ve heard that I deem myself something of a puppeteer and that I orchestrate these media maelstroms to maintain relevance and news. I wish I was that creative! The other side of the debate – the more discerning would argue – I’m a victim of PR machinery gone wrong. Perhaps my handlers in the earlier stages of my career saw a need to create an unfathomable media being that was as audacious as the characters I played in films.
It caught on. Caused quite a stir, and then quickly spiraled out of control. There were days when I wondered if I could have done something about it; like a campaign to state I was a different person. But then, the media loved it too much. It sold millions of movies. It sold papers. It also sold my privacy and peace of mind. I struggled for years to understand what it was doing to my psyche, my relationships, my family, my spirituality
When asked about Nadia Buari, he had this to say:
She (Nadia) is a solid down-to-earth woman. I’m a man that translates variables in ways many people find incomprehensible. We have embraced who we are and learnt to create our own world and expectations. We have ups and downs like every other couple. We have our strength and weakness as well. At the end of the day, rumors of break ups and make ups ought to abound. It really doesn’t matter. A relationship is a continuous work. Those that give up, perhaps weren’t committed enough. Those that go in for the long haul suck up and square up to the variables life throws at them. The people that judge harshly are obviously the ones that live far from their desired lives. We just live the best way we know how and leave the rest to the author and finisher of all things.

Well it’s good that Jim is open and talking. Sometimes, the best way to deal with issues is to not react. Other times, you open up and clear the air about it honestly and quickly and it’s good that he is setting things straight. What do you think?

Parents Confirm That the Kidnapped Sisters in Abuja have been released!

An uncle to the abducted girls, Mr Amadi Opaluwa, confirmed it this morning. Although he was reluctant to say whether or not the family paid the N150 million ransom demanded by their captors.
“We are very grateful to God that the girls are back,” the uncle said. “We are very excited.”
He added that the family will address a press conference tomorrow.
It would be recalled that Ejura and Unekwu were abducted by five gunmen on 8 June from their father’s house at Associated Estate, No. 55, Impresit Camp, Karmo. The gunmen had carried out a robbery attack on the family and were said to be dissatisfied with the amount of money found and thus abducted the girls. Their abductors had first asked for a N200 million ransom but they later called the family and reduced it to N150 million. (KFB)

Ladies: There's No Evidence That Men With Big Feet Have Bigger Penises. Sex Myths And The Scientific Truth Behind Them.

Most of us have learned all sorts of things about sex - from talking to friends, sex education at school, the TV or the internet. Some things you might even have figured out from experience. But while you may have plenty of information, some of it is plain wrong. In fact, people believe all kinds of things about sex that are simply not true.
Here are the most popular and prevalent sex myths and the scientific truth behind them.
  • 1. BIG FEET, BIG... AHEM!
Many people think you can size up what a man's penis is like by looking at his feet, hands, or nose. Truth is there's no good evidence that men with big feet have bigger penises.  You can look at a man's feet all you want, but it's only going to give you an idea about his taste in shoes.
  • 2. MEN THINK ABOUT SEX EVERY 7 SECONDS
You probably believe men think about sex every seven seconds. But that would mean men are thinking about sex more than 6,000 times a day, or pretty much every time they take a breath. That would not only drive most people mad, it would make them incapable of performing any other functions at all.
However, it's true research data suggests men think about sex more than women do, but the difference is far less dramatic than you might think. Almost half of men don't think about sex every day - and that's  a far cry from the way they are frequently portrayed.
  • 3. SEX HELPS YOU LOSE WEIGHT
Sounds plausible, doesn't it? But unless you are having sex for much longer and with much more vigour than the average person, sex is probably not going to get you anywhere near the recommended amount of exercise to lose weight.
Sex is considered to be only a mild to moderate intensity activity, and the average sexual encounter lasts only around five minutes. Estimates of how many calories are used up range from 25 to 125 - not a great deal.
  • 4. SEX IS BAD FOR A DODGY TICKER
Everyone has heard horror stories of people dying of a heart attack in the middle of sex, and those with a history of heart disease may be particularly afraid that sex is too much for their heart. But the chance of having a heart attack during sex is very low.
A large study called the Framingham Heart Study tells us that if you are a man who doesn't have diabetes and doesn't smoke, the chance is just one in a million. And while people who've had a heart attack do need to exercise some caution when resuming normal activities, they do not need to be so afraid of having sex.
The truth is that most people just don't exert themselves that much during sex. The physical exertion is similar to walking up two flights of stairs. So if you can do the treadmill test (the stress test used to check heart function), this is about the same level of exertion you'd have during sex that produces an orgasm.
  • 5. THE PILL WILL MAKE YOU FAT
Nearly all medications have side-effects. But it is a myth that the Pill causes weight gain. It wasn't always the case - when it was first developed, the Pill had very high levels of oestrogen and progestin - a synthetic version of the hormone progersterone - which might have caused weight gain. But today's Pill contains much lower levels of hormones,  and two major reviews of all the studies found no evidence of weight gain.
  • 6. TESTICLES SAG WITH AGE
Most men think so. And the male reproductive tract definitely goes through a number of changes with age - the testicles produce fewer sperm, slower sperm, and sperm that are less able to fertilise an egg. The components of the testicles also start to change. The tiny tubes where sperm are produced start to degenerate, and, overall, testicles also become smaller. These smaller testicles may seem to be hanging lower, but this is because the sac is a bit emptier.
But while it's true there might be some weakening of the skin of the scrotal sac, the smooth muscle that controls the movement of the scrotal sac up and down continues to function for life. And that kind of muscle - smooth muscle- is unlikely to sag very much.
  • 7. SEX BEFORE SPORT IS BAD
Many athletes are told they should not have sex the night before a big game because they will have less strength, less concentration, or not enough testosterone to fuel an aggressive, strong performance.
In fact, the science of what happens in the body during and after sex suggests athletes might actually perform better if they did have sex. In one study, men who had sex the night before a sporting event had higher testosterone levels the next day than those who had not had sex.
Sex has also been shown to have no impact on leg muscle strength, grip strength, reaction time or flexibility.

"Arrangement is on to train the former Niger Delta agitators in some agricultural practices that will eventually lead them to acquiring some competence, thereby becoming engaged.”

Akinyemi also stated that the aim of the programme is to rehabilitate and resettle the former militants, adding that the programme will start soon.
“This programme is part of the efforts to rehabilitate these ex-militants. It is going to be for three months, a short term training, which will later snowball into degree and Post-graduate degree programme. The Federal Government is going to be responsible for the payment of the fees for the 50 first batch students,” Akinyemi stated.

Don Jazzy Debunks the Allegation that Dorobucci is an Occultic Song: See What He is Saying

Here's the full writeup about Dorobucci's alleged meaning:

 WHAT IS DORO?
For ur information, DOROBUCCI is a freaking occult song >=). Let me explain, Oluwa means God in Yoruba, Chineke Or Chi means God in Igbo. Doro is also a name of a god... Doro is a godmavins formula, DOROBUCCI is just to praise their god. They produced the song Dorobucci in other to achieve more Doro worshippers and that's why they put Dorojazzy, Dorotiwa, Dorosid.
Now some people would change there original beautiful names from Oluwabisi to
Dorobisi, Chidinma to Dorodinma, Seun to Doroseun, some even behind the occultic name e.g lil stunna Doroyinka.
It's freaking sad that we always forget to listen to lyrics of songs & get their meaning before dancing to it.

This gist that Dorobucci is an occultic song has been going on for a while now. I really do not believe it the first time I read about it, because some people actually believe it's true. Or what is your Take on This?

Jay Kelly Speaks on Being a Teenage Transgender, Says Dad R Kelly Has Not Spoken to Him Since....

Jay Kelly, formerly known as Jaya and youngest child of R. Kelly and ex-wife Andrea Kelly, is speaking about his road to becoming transgender at the young age of just fourteen. Jay says his dad has not spoken to him since his decision to be a boy, but his mother - she stars in reality series 'Hollywood Exes - is proud of him and even shares their pictures online.

Answering questions on his Ask.fm profile..he said;

My mom was like,"Baby, you know I love you if you were bi, gay, lesbian, you name it and I would still love you so much..She was very proud of me, I was like, "Thank you mom for accepting the fact that I'm a transgender."

And same with my sister, she told me that she was proud of me, and respects me by calling me handsome and calling me her little brother now, and I love her for that, so you know it was great for me.' I absolutely love my mother... and yea my dad has not reached out.
Asked when he knew he was a boy and not a girl, Jay replied;
Around the age 6-8 i felt like there was something wrong like i was trapped, but i didnt know what transgender was until i grew older.I believe I am a boy and want surgery, and the medication to help me (be) who I was supposed to be.At 11, 'I would look up like boy changes to girl, and girl changes to boy, and im like wow, there's people who feel EXACTLY the way i feel and then i knew like thats what transgender is"
When asked if God supports his sex change and for haters, he said;
God made everyone he loves.I know, but their words dont phase me or mean anything to mean so i guess they feel like wasting some time i guess i don't know and thank you! Be who you want to be, only God can judge you! No one else can tell you who YOU are!

He also said since he needs to be 18 before having a sex change, the first thing he will change is his chest.

We Need To Raise Our Game To Reach Next Round At World Cup: Mikel Obi

Nigerian defensive midfielder John Obi Mikel believes that they need to raise their game if they want to reach the next round.

According to Mikel Obi who received the Man of the Match award, they will likely need wins against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Argentina in their final two games, though victory against the former will give them an excellent chance of making Last 16.
"Naturally we’re disappointed because we know what it means to win your opening match at the World Cup," Mikel said. "We thought we had a good chance of winning. We created some openings in the first half and I think we deserved to score. Iran kept us at bay, though, and they were well organised at the back.
"We need to raise our game if we want to reach the next round. We prepared very well for this World Cup and we can’t afford to drop another point in our remaining games," he said.

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi stated that the team played very well in the first half. "The forwards were very active and they had a couple of chances to score, though we couldn’t put them away. We lost our shape in the second half," he continued.
"I felt we could have won the game but we were lacking a bit of inspiration on the pitch. All credit to Iran. They stuck to their game-plan and were able to put it into practice from start to finish."
Next up for the Super Eagles is a meeting with Bosnia-Herzegovina in Cuiabá on Saturday where a win would likely oust their opponents from the competition and put one Nigerian foot in the second round.
