Sahara Reporters refers to another source claiming that over ten trucks of soldiers from Takum Division invaded the ancient town of Jato-Aka, Kwande Local Government, took the barracks, and killed 36 people, including Rev. Fr. Akputu.

Several soldiers have been arrested on suspicion of being involved in the raids and killings.
First the attacks were thought to target some local governments because of the challenges facing Fulani herdsmen in search of grazing fields for their cattle and the Tiv subsistence farmers who are expecting a bumper harvests. However, later Adikpo, the Kwande Local Government headquarters, Chief Andyar Bumve, revealed that, in his opinion, the agenda was bigger.Photo: Benue massacre
He said:

"We are only taking caution because the involvement of the Army is a deliberate plan. When we decide to take on them, they will now implement the pogrom in kind of 2001 massacre in Zaki-Biam."

It would be recalled that in 2001 a detachment of the Nigerian Army seeking reprisals for the killing of 19 soldiers attacked the town of Zaki-Biam, killing hundreds of people, including women and children.

SHOCKER: SEE Student Who Confesses To Have Infected 324 Men With HIV (PHOTO)

A 19-year-old girl in Kenya has reportedly confessed to have deliberately infected 324 men with the deadly HIV virus, saying she is on a mission to destroy the society by infecting 2000 more by the end of this year.photo
Among the 324 she claims to have infected, 156 are students, 3 politicians and the rest are married men, lecturers, lawyers, some celebrities among others. She says not a day passes before she has sex with at least 4 men and without protection.

The unnamed young lady also adds that she is on a revenge mission because it's the same men that destroyed her life by infecting her with AIDS. She is only 19 yrs and she is in 2nd year.
Read her story below...

I'm 19 and a 2nd year student here at Kabarak University. I joined this college a virgin though I have had boyfriends before,my parents are strict so having sex was never on my mind.
September 22nd, 2013, is a day I will never forget,we went clubbing in town and got drunk with some senior students then went back hostels for party around 2am.
I remember waking up naked to a guy called Javan with my private part painful and I realized he had sex with me when I was drunk. I only asked if he used a condom and he said yes.
However, when taking bath I noticed sperms down there,i wanted to commit suicide,i feared getting pregnant and HIV, I took drug and hoped i was HIV free.

In November, I tested HIV positive,I felt like cutting off my neck. I confronted the guy and he insisted he was clean that I got it from somewhere.
I was so depressed and took alcohol to die. I even bought poison, the pain was just unbearable. How was I gonna face the world? I let my parents down. I gave up on the world and just wanted to end my life.

Something came up in my mind that I should revenge. I hated men and I didn’t want to be near anymore. My future had been ruined, somehow someone had to pay.
After a private therapy sessions, I gained strength not even my parents, friends knew of my conditions even up to now.

I accepted my fate and promised to make all men I come across suffer. i know I am attractive and both married and  unmarried men chase me left, right and center, luckily, my body has remained good and if anything my curves got better something you men like.

I buried the good girl in me and became the bad girl. My goal was to infect as many as possible.  So far, since December up to now, I have infected 324 men and I make sure to note down there list which I secretly keep. I plan to release it when  I will be on my death bed.

I know I have nothing left to do on earth but to wait for my death but before i do, men will get it.
My target is over 2000 by the end of the year, pregnancy is out of question because I am on contraceptives. So I just do raw which most men here love. They don't even question because my looks and body work greatly for me.
Out of the 324 I have infected so far,  about 156 are students here at the college, the remaining are married men outside, lecturers, lawyers, some celebs and 3 politicians. Not a day passes without me having sex, mostly four people per day.”
Indeed, that 'thing' between the two legs can be risky!

Bury my books with me – dead OAU student

OAU gate Inset: Ige

The last note by a part-four law student of Obafemi Awolowo University, who allegedly committed suicide, Dipo Ige, was that his books should be buried with him.
Ige was said to have committed suicide in his private hostel penultimate Saturday at Ashiefa, Ibadan Road, Ile-Ife and was buried at his hometown in Iree, Osun State on Sunday.
While controversy still surrounds Ige’s action, the deceased in the note also cautioned that his girlfriend should not be blamed for his death.
It was gathered that Ige and his girlfriend had a misunderstanding before his death.
Also, in the note obtained by our correspondent, Ige said his valuables should be distributed to certain people.
Part of the note read, “As I plan to end my life, please bury my books with me. My reason for this action is best known to me. Please don’t blame my girlfriend (name withheld). She knows nothing about this. Share my properties accordingly to…”
Fresh facts, however, emerged on Sunday that Ige sent a message to his mum before his action. It was learnt that due to network problem, the message did not get to the recipient until over an hour after it was sent.
A close friend to Ige, who pleaded anonymity narrated, “That day about 9pm, Ige sent a text message to his mum. He told her to come to Ile-Ife immediately, adding that any delay could mean that the mum would meet him dead.
“When she eventually got the message around 10pm, she immediately alerted his close friend, Bola Okiji, to check on him. Unfortunately, Okiji was not in Ile-Ife, he was at Ilesha.
“The mum sent another lady living close to him to check him. The lady met Ige’s door locked. She peeped through the key hole and saw Ige, who appeared lifeless. She screamed, broke the door and raised the alarm, which attracted the neighbours.”
However, Okiji insisted that his friend hung himself because of “academics love.”
He said Ige was a brilliant student in second class upper grade before his death.

Petrol Scarcity: Marketers Divert Fuel, Change Truck Numbers to Avoid tracking- Allison-Maduake

The Petroleum Minister said there are lots of factors militating against efficient delivery of fuel.
The Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, on Sunday blamed the current scarcity of petrol nationwide on the diversion of the commodity by some marketers.
Nigeria has been hit by its worst fuel scarcity in months, with the 36 states and the Federal Capital, Abuja, left without sufficient supply for weeks. Queues have returned to filling stations as motorists spend days before being able to buy fuel.
Mrs. Alison-Madueke made an unscheduled inspection of 15 filling stations in Surulere, Ikoyi, Ajah and Iponri areas of Lagos.
“We have enough fuel to serve the country, the challenge we are having is that, some drivers will not supply the lifted products to designated filling stations,” the minister said.
“Having gone round the state, it is not just the filling stations at Ikoyi that appeared to be without product, but other extreme locations like Ajah and other parts in Surulere. It appears there are lots of factors militating against efficient delivery of fuel.”
The minister said she had received reports that some marketers instructed their drivers to change the number plates of their trucks to make it difficult for tracking.
“I have directed the heads of the agencies – DPR, PPMC and PPPRA – to give me a clear picture and timeline in terms of numbers of trucks coming into Lagos,” she said.
She said, “there is diversion and I want some ideas about the diversion. If we can establish there is, I want to know how this is being done.
“They need to supply me how these trucks are being tracked because diversion is not easy to do.
“They will be sanctioned and I’m ready to publish names of anybody that may be involved.”
The minister assured Nigerians that the government has a reserve stock of petrol that could last the next two weeks. (NAN)

“I Did Not Rape Her”! Obesere Speaks Out

Obesere - March 2014 - BellaNaija
It was a rough week for Abass Akande Obesere. The Fuji star was accused of raping a 29-year old business woman, who claims she visited him for help.
After his arrest, he was released on bail. Obesere was invited on MITV‘s Wazobia show to speak on the allegations.
Here is what he said;
“She visited me at home at night and it was too late for her to return to her place. I won’t lie about the fact that we had intimate encounter. But I did not rape her. And it was about four or five days after she visited me that she went to the police to allege that I raped her.
I went to the police station but when when I realized that the officers there were favouring her as a complainant, I requested them to transfer the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba.
There, they asked her for evidence that she was raped. There was no injury on her. Her clothes were intact. When she couldn’t produce evidence, the police advised her not to attempt to blackmail me. They advised her to gently approach me and ask for help if she wanted anything.
When she first called me to say she was feeling sick, I called the woman who introduced her to me to take her to hospital. But Alhaja said nothing was wrong with her, that she was only trying to extort me. Alhaja said she planned to blackmail me into parting with between five and ten million naira.
I can tell you my enemies are behind the allegation. They are trying to bring me down. But they won’t succeed because I’m a child of God, a messenger of God. Once God remains behind me, nobody can bring me down.
I’m a responsible man, a reliable man. But I’m human and therefore fallible. But I’m not losing sleep about this allegation. I’m undeterred and I’m going about my business because I have no doubt that the truth will prevail.”

Positions To Conceive Baby Boy

Whether you’re looking for positions to have a baby boy or you’re interested more in the diet you should adopt for increasing the odds of having a male baby, you should keep in mind that a more complex approach, mixing both positions to get a baby boy and foods or dietary supplements is more likely to lead to male baby conception.
Chances are always 50/50 when it comes to getting pregnant with a boy or a girl, so for increasing the probability of having a male baby it’s recommended to mix the available solutions and apply more of the techniques known to create an internal environment that’s able to support the survival and traveling of male sperm towards the ovule.

Positions To Have A Baby Boy: The Crab On Its Back

Despite its funny name, this is one of the most effective intercourse positions to have a baby boy, as it allows for deep penetration while ensuring a good facial contact between partners. It’s a position included in the renowned Kama Sutra so even if you don’t manage to conceive a baby boy by simply practicing this, you’ll surely enjoy the process.
The woman lies on her back on the edge of the bed, with her buttocks placed near the bottom corner, while the man stands in front of her or bends over her, for easier penetration. The woman’s legs are bent and open, and she can wrap her feet around the partner’s body for controlling the depth of penetration.

Positions To Conceive Baby Boy: Spread Eagle

This is a variation of the missionary position, but it’s a very good choice for women looking for positions to get a baby boy. The woman lies on her stomach with legs spread far apart, allowing the man to penetrate her. For a more comfortable position, a pillow can be placed under her hips.
The man can hold the woman’s thighs for a better control of the penetration depth and of the peace. Due to the angle involved by this position, it’s easier for the man to deposit the sperm nearer to the cervix and thus increase the chances for male baby conception.

Positions To Get A Baby Boy: Horizontal Ones

When it comes to finding the best positions to conceive baby boy, perhaps a little more important than the position itself is the rule that says that the woman should stay horizontal right after intercourse, as this allows for the male sperm to reach the cervix faster than female sperm, which is bigger and travels more slowly.
Also, it’s recommended to adopt positions that involve rear entry or in which the man stands up, and although there’s no scientific argument for this, it’s thought that positions that focus on male’s pleasure are more likely to lead to the conception of baby boys.

Foluke Daramola: My Husband can Marry More than One Wife

Foluke Daramola - March 2014 - BellaNaija 02 (2)

Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola seems open to a polygamous marriage.
In an interview with Vanguard, Foluke opens up about her 1st year anniversary with Kayode Salako, how they met and what she loves about him.
When the interviewer asked about reports that he split with his first wife because of her, she gets candid.
“It’s not something I want to discuss, because my husband has told me sternly not to discuss his former marriage on the pages of newspapers. He’s capable of marrying more than one wife if he so wishes, so, I don’t see how or why he has to chase his wife out for me.
Besides, did he chase her or she left of her own volition? or then, should I say the person my ex hubby is married to chased me out of my former home as well? Well, I decided to walk out of my former matrimonial home for personal reasons.
I don’t know much about my hubby’s ex wife’s issue, he is in the best position to talk about that, though, sadists and people that are just out to look for people to join them in their misery will always want to drag my name in what’s not my business and can never be my business.
My hubby is very capable of taking care of his personal business and he is doing that to the best of my knowledge. He has a perfect relationship with his ex and his children and we have a wonderful relationship too,so people should just mind their business and leave us alone.”
 Foluke Daramola - March 2014 - BellaNaija 02 (1)
On what is different about her second marriage: “Firstly, I was very naive and immature in my first marriage. I will say, I was desperate because many of my friends were getting married then and I thought marriage was the ‘in-thing’, so, I guess I didn’t really know who and what I was going into.
But this one is based on spiritual conviction, true love, deep and mature understanding between two adults in love, ready to be together forever. We have both been married before and I guess that helped us to love and appreciate each other.”

Congrats to the couple on their 1st anniversary.

13 Lagos pupils slump after inhaling poisonous gas

Ogba Junior School

There was pandemonium at the Ogba Junior Grammar School, Lagos on Thursday when 13 pupils fell unconscious after inhaling a gaseous substance from unidentified source.
The incident was said to have occurred during the 12 noon break time. PUNCH Metro had on November 1, 2013, reported that 22 pupils of the same school fainted after inhaling a gaseous substance.
Following reports on the incident, a photo laboratory behind the school was investigated and was subsequently shut down by the Lagos State Government.
When PUNCH Metro visited the school on Thursday, it was deserted as the pupils had been sent home immediately the incident occurred.
A classroom block, which also houses the school infirmary, was said to have been most affected by the gaseous emission.
An employee of the school was seen opening windows in the infirmary to allow for proper ventilation of the room.
A security guard, who did not identify himself, said, “It happened during the break time. The wind blew the gas in the direction of the school and the students who were close by began to choke. They were immediately rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, while the school was closed for the day.”
Officials of the Lagos State Safety Commission were also seen at the school conducting an on-the-spot investigation.
At the Ogba Shopping Arcade, which had been shut down because of the Thursday incident, officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and Red Cross were seen.
Some shop owners, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, expressed displeasure at the closure of the arcade by the government.
One of them said, “When the incident occurred last year, the gaseous substance was not from the photo laboratory as it was widely reported. There are 109 shops in this arcade and 88 of them have occupants. How come the gas did not affect anyone here but affected those behind the arcade?
“Four agencies from the Lagos State Government came to seal the lab without proper investigation. Now that the incident has repeated itself, they are confused.
“They just came here around 2pm and told all of us to leave the arcade, they subsequently sealed it up. The emission is not from this place. There is no shop in the arcade presently that does anything with chemicals. We have no idea when they will reopen the arcade.”
The Lagos State Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Damasus Ozoani, said, “We are yet to ascertain the company where the emission originated from. But ongoing investigation revealed that the emission affected Ogba Junior Grammar School and about eight pupils in the school were affected. The pupils have been taken to LASUTH and they are responding to treatment.
“Meanwhile, the school has been temporarily closed and the Ogba Shopping Arcade in front of the school has equally been temporarily closed to enable LASEMA take proper assessment of what actually happened.
“The situation is under control, and no life was lost. I am assuring Lagosians that there is no cause for alarm.”
The General Manager LASEMA, Dr. Femi Oke-Osayintolu said, “We are still running gas analysis and risk assessment of the area to ascertain where the gaseous substance came from. We have cordoned off the shopping arcade in the meantime while we continue with our investigations.
“However 12 female and one male pupil were affected by the gaseous emission. They are presently responding to treatment.”

‘If Jonathan Fails In 2015, Then I’m Not Called Of God’ – Dr Chris Okafor

Dr. Chris Okafor is the General Overseer of Liberation Church. In a chat with ENCOMIUM Weekly, he opened up on his prediction about 2015 elections and sundry issues…

10 years down the line in your ministry, how has it been?

We really thank God for His mercies and faithfulness. God has been helpful to us in fulfilling the mandate that was given to us.  We are not there yet because our best is yet to come.

You have a huge congregation and several outreaches. Last year, you were in more than 11 countries to preach the word, what else do you want?

God gave us the mandate to reach one billion souls. Though looking at it, you will know it is not easy to reach one billion souls, but He said the gospel must be preached to everyone, then the end will come. According to Matthew Chapter 24 verse 14, the end is not coming right away, but the end will come. The coming of the Lord is somehow conditional because the gospel must be preached to every creation, then the end will come.  The mandate God gave to me is to reach one billion souls.Out of the one billion souls you are mandated to win for Christ, how many have you recorded so far?

By the grace of God, we have reached a lot of people. Last year, we had crusades across the country. In Enugu state, we had over 20,000 people. The same thing was repeated at Ebonyi, Abuja, and several parts of the country.  Also in Cameroun, South Africa, and America, we recorded a lot of people giving their lives to Christ. We also have our television outreaches. We have our own television, Liberation Television which reaches all African countries and about three or four countries in Europe.  We are at the edge of another platform, that is called The Sky. It reaches every part of Europe and we are also in advanced talks with Galaxy. Galaxy is another network, because the network we are now is called VSAT. The one that covers the whole of Europe is called the Sky, the one that covers the whole of America and North America is called the Galaxy. Currently, we are talking to them. Through that, we can reach the one billion souls and if possible go beyond the mandate.

Do you think that is possible because one billion souls is much, even N1 billion is huge not to talk of souls?

It is possible. Let me tell you, there are people I reach through our television programmes. It’s a 24 hour service. A lot of people are watching it and many have been delivered and healed through Liberation Television.  Barren women have conceived through Liberation TV and thousands have given their lives to Jesus through it.

Where are you coming from, sir, I mean, your spiritual journey?

I am a regular Christian from a Christian home. I was born and brought up from a Christian background, but I encountered Jesus Christ at eight. My parents are elders in the church. We are Anglicans. We are from a prayerful home. When my mom was pregnant with me, many prophets gave her prophesy that she is going to give birth to a great man of God who will be well known around the world.

Before your ministerial journey, did you work in any church, or served any man of God?

Like I have always said, I have indirectly been influenced by a lot of men of God. I was born in Benin and was privileged to be under the teaching of late Archbishop Benson Idahosa. I was greatly influenced by this great man of God and some other ministers.

Were you a member of any church before you started your ministry?

No, I was not a member of any church. As a matter of fact, we used to do fellowship and fellowship is not a church. When I came to Lagos, I never belonged to any church. We started Liberation City in one room. It was in the house of an Anglican priest, Reverend Chuks Eleaze. He was of great help to this ministry.

You talked about opposition, what has kept you going despite opposition of your own style of ministry?

It is God. If God is not on your side… I remember in the Acts of the Apostles, Chapter 5, they were prosecuting the Apostles, and there was a time they were arrested and on the verge of killing them. A man who was not a Christian said so this is what Jesus went through in the hands of the opposition. So, what keeps us going is that God is on our side. Again, if the opposition is not there we will not be on our toes. I pray 7-9 hours a day. If the opposition is not there I might not be praying so long. We might think everything is okay and probably be relaxing, the opposition is useful in so many ways. I have this understanding that the Israelites had enemies when they took them captive into Egypt. The Bible tells us the people of Egypt oppressed them so much, so Egyptians became so lazy that all the work were assigned to the Israelites, as punishment but today the best engineers around the world are from Israel. The Egyptians thought they were punishing the Israelites not knowing they were preparing them for a great future. So, your enemy can be a help in disguise, God said I will help and be with you. So if God says I will be with you, so we are not afraid. If the Lord be for you who shall be against you.

People said Dr. Chris Okafor is dashing and attractive. How do you cope with the issue of women which  we all believe is one of the factors that pulls down many men of God…

I don’t leave my house. There are several deliberate walls built around me that make it so impossible for anybody to break. You can’t find me outside. I don’t go to events, functions or social places. My movement is house to church, church to house. You can only see me at the airport when I’m travelling. I only relax at home because I must wake up every 2am to pray till 7am, so I usually sleep in the day.

Is it true that you predicted Jonathan will win the 2015 election?

God has been accurate. He is a progressive and creative God.  The Bible says every secret belongs to God, He reveals in order to redeem.  There were some prophesies that were  given during our cross over night and some are still coming. I remember vividly that God gave a revelation that the NUJ should pray against untimely death among its members and if possible they should come together to pray so that danger will be averted. But not too long, while we were praying, we heard one of their editors was killed. There was a  prophesy about plane crash and few weeks ago, a plane crash was averted through prayer. I am not a prophet of doom. Do I prophesy evil? No! God reveals to redeem. But what is the essence of revealing it and not being heard? God spoke to me exclusively that the current president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan will be Nigeria’s president after 2015 general elections. There will be a lot of battle. There will be a lot of betrayals. There will be a lot of court cases concerning his election but at the end of the day, he will still remain the president because God showed me specifically that he has been ordained to run for two terms. God has already declared it to me. Mark what I said!  If it does not come to pass, know I’m not called of God. In the second term of President Goodluck Jonathan there will be a lot of transformation, despite battles from the opposition. Then after Jonathan’s second term, the APC will take over.

When did you start two Sunday services and what is the reason?

We started in February 2014. Liberation City began two Sunday services because of space. We took these steps to curtail the overflow in the street. So, we carefully enquired from the Lord and we came to the conclusion that we should begin two services, so the first service starts by 6.45-10.30am while the second starts by 11am -1pm.
