How to Be a Good Wife - Single or Married, You Must Read This!

The truth is that it can't hurt to put some of the guidelines to use for a happy home....

Below are some steps on how to be a good wife:
• Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they get home and the prospect of a good meal is part of the warm welcome needed.

• Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you'll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people.

• Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it.

• Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives. Run a dustcloth over the tables.

• During the cooler months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift too. After all, catering to his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction.

• Minimize all noise. At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of the washer, dryer or vacuum. Encourage the children to be quiet.

• Be happy to see him.

• Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him.

• Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first - remember his topics of conversation are more important than yours.

• Don't greet him with complaints and problems.

• Don't complain if he's late for dinner or even if he stays out all night. Count this as minor compared to what he might have gone through at work.

• Make him comfortable. Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or lie him down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him.

• Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice.

• Don't ask him questions about his actions or question his judgment or integrity. Remember, he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to question him.

• A good wife always knows her place.

Nadia and I have our strengths and weakness - Jim Iyke

Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke has been making headlines for the days now and the buzz isn’t going down anytime soon. In an interview with Punch, he speaks on controversies, Nollywood, and his partner Nadia Buari. Read excerpts: On being out of the movie scene for a while: “Nothing was challenging anymore. It was too easy and too perpetual. It was too boring and too predictable. I had no room to pursue or hone other skill sets I had. I didn’t have time for extra curriculums like hobbies, family, and friends, personal and social advancements. Something had to give! After all, I was the guy that made 38 films in a year” On Nollywod’s slow progress: “Ours, if it isn’t oil and politics, then it isn’t attainable. They tie up funds in bogus and outlandish conditions and make bold and futuristic propaganda-driven statements as to how it is accessible to every practitioner that simply has to ask for the taking. The sad part is that the practitioners do not even recognise the most basic of their fundamental rights. How can you ask, when you don’t understand what you’re asking for? The ones that do understand and fight to the helm of affairs are busy fighting each other and developing schemes to enrich their shallow pockets.” On Controversies: “I’ve heard that I deem myself something of a puppeteer and that I orchestrate these media maelstroms to maintain relevance and news. I wish I was that creative! The other side of the debate – the more discerning would argue – I’m a victim of PR machinery gone wrong. Perhaps my handlers in the earlier stages of my career saw a need to create an unfathomable media being that was as audacious as the characters I played in films. It caught on. Caused quite a stir, then quickly spiralled out of control. There were days when I wondered if I could have done something about it; like a campaign to state I was a different person. But then, the media loved it too much. It sold millions of movies. It sold papers. It also sold my privacy and peace of mind. I struggled for years to understand what it was doing to my psyche, my relationships, my family, my spirituality.” On Nadia Buari: “She (Nadia) is a solid down-to-earth woman. I’m a man that translates variables in ways many people find incomprehensible. We have embraced who we are and learnt to create our own world and expectations. We have ups and downs like every other couple. We have our strength and weakness as well. At the end of the day, rumours of break ups and make ups ought to abound. It really doesn’t matter. A relationship is a continuous work. Those that give up, perhaps weren’t committed enough. Those that go in for the long haul suck up and square up to the variables life throws at them. The people that judge harshly are obviously the ones that live far from their desired lives. We just live the best way we know how and leave the rest to the author and finisher of all things.” On if he will run for AGN President: “I’ve had occasion where they tried to drag me into this unpredictable territory. I assure you categorically Nollywood politics holds no iota of interest for me.”

Justin Bieber to Selena Gomez: I NEED You! You're My SOULMATE!

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are back together once again, a new rumor alleges, and the unlikely catalyst was the former's recent racism controversy.

According to a source close to Gomez, Justin reached out to her after he came under fire for his two shocking n-word videos, seeking emotional support.
The insider claims Bieber told his ex that he "needed her by his side" and his heartfelt words sent her flying to Canada on a private jet last weekend.

“Justin reached out to Selena when he was getting tons of backlash for his controversial race joke. He told Selena that he really missed her," the source says.
The coup de grace came when he said that Selena Gomez "was the ONLY one who truly understood him and that he needed her by his side."
“He said that his father’s birthday celebration wouldn’t be the same without Selena because she's part of the family,” the source also reveals.
“He also told her she was his soulmate and that he was lost without her."
Swoon alert. To the surprise of no one, these were deep words "that Selena had longed to hear, even though she’s basically heard them before."
"Yep, they are crazy about each other … once again.”
Apparently, this convinced Selena to fly to Canada for the low key birthday celebration for his father, Jeremy Bieber, on the weekend of June 7-8.

Selena flew on up to Canada to spend the weekend at a private cottage with Justin, his dad, his siblings and friends. So are they back together officially?
That remains to be seen, but Justin posted a photo of her and said their "love is unconditional" before taking it down this week, so there's that.
Also, a family friend of Jeremy’s girlfriend, Victoria Nosko, tweeted a thank you message to Selena and others who attended the birthday bash.
Moments later, she deleted that tweet and posted literally the same message sans Selena's name, as if trying to cover up the fact that she was there.
Nice try. Seems like these two have rekindled the flame again but are keeping it quiet. Wonder if she's the one who took today's Bieber bed selfie.

Pictures - New Dad Outraged His Newborn's Mouth Was Taped Shut By Maternity Nurse For Crying

A new dad from the Phillipines has sparked outrage in parents everywhere after he posted pictures on Facebook showing how his son, Yohannes, had his mouth celotaped shut by a nurse at the maternity hospital where the boy was born. The pictures show the poor little baby sleeping with the strip across his lips and taped to both his cheeks. In one picture the boy, at just five days old, as seen crying as the celotape is being taken off his face.

The father claims his wife, Jasmine, returned to the nursery Friday evening to find the baby gagged with tape at the Cebu City hospital. The furious father wrote on Facebook;
PROFESSIONAL??? NOT FROM THE LOOKS OF THIS!!!

One of the most degrading and hurtful feelings parents feel when their baby is supposedly in "good hands" of a professional establishment

Would you tolerate this?
I'm the father of this baby and I CANNOT and WILL NOT tolerate this bullshit!!

Upon Jasmine Janice's visit back to the nursery room on May 9th at around 8:00 pm, she found our baby gagged with tape covered over his mouth. This is not even close to being professional or humane.

Jasmine immediately asked the attending nurse "why is there tape over his mouth?" and the reply she got from the nurse was "your baby was TOO NOISY (crying) so i put that over his mouth...."

With whatever reasons that nurse may have had to gag our son, there were other factors why our 5 day old baby was crying.

It was discovered by Jasmine that our baby had peed his diaper!!! was there just NO TIME to check that? do you just put tape over a baby's mouth, just because he's too noisy? did you take time to inspect and do your job properly? ARE YOU RESPECTABLE???

When the nurse was asked to take off the tape over his mouth, the respond was "you can go ahead and take it off yourself, ma'am" after Jasmine tried to take the plaster tape off his mouth without success, the attending nurse had to eventually take it off herself and eventually do it and in the process a piece of his upper lip's skin ripped off with the tape as the nurse removed the tape.

We reported this incident immediately to their INFORMATION DESK, we were instructed not to delete the pictures (uhhh duhh of course not) so we can present them to the Chief Nurse of Maternity Hospital.

This probably not an isolated incident so we cannot really say your babies are safe at this establishment. What most people don't see in the nursery room is very different from what's actually happening behind closed doors.

They handle your children there like puppies out of a dog pound. I personally have seen this with my own eyes and I am very surprised this is what people call "a respectable establishment"
Babies, especially infantss and a newborn for that matter, are so defenseless and delicate, why would anyone want to hurt them. And this is supposed to be a trained nurse working in a maternity. I'm glad the parents have taken it up with the relevant authorities.

It's no wonder some women, even when they deliver in hospitals that have nurseries prefer to keep their babies in their rooms and close to them. This highly depends on the hospital, but new parents have to be extra vigilant. In some cases, no one can protect your baby, and not even the ones you think are most capable.

The new dad reports the baby is now home, safe and sound.
